We're building on offroad shifter kart buggy! The base frame for this new project is a Manco Deuce go kart with a semi-independent rear suspension. In this video we finished up what he still had to work on from paint as well as did a ton of slight tuning and adjustments! This included an oil change, carb sync, and valve lash to get our ninja 250 motor running like new! Be sure to stay tuned to see us get this thing running 100%!
Thank you guys for watching and be sure to subscribe to see us finish this thing and rip it!

In the last video of this thing, we got it all painted up. It looks incredible so now it's kind of the really exciting thing if you guys saw the first drive video, this thing's super reliable and stuff, but we just have some issues with the ninja 250 motor. We think it actually with fuel starvation and carbs sinking, so we're gon na. What we're going to do is basically do this to me.

The tuning video we're gon na try to get it running as best as we possibly can and then we'll be able to load it up on the trailer and take it for a rip and hopefully we'll be able to not have any issues. A lot of people commented about revering right now, we're not really worried about that, because it just runs bad. What we want to do is see how, basically, because we couldn't get past 4000 rpm in like fourth gear. So really we have no idea how fast this thing is, so we're just gon na start with things we know we can't control like the tuning and things like that, and then we can probably in a later video rehear if it is still too slow, but I Think if this thing has a ton of torque right now and a lot of power, we should be able to have a lot of fun with it in this video, so stay tuned for us driving it.

One of the problems we've seen. Other people have had it. They've said in the comments is that these gas tanks, the fuel petcock, is it doesn't really let out that much fuel? So what we did is we change it to like a bigger, fitting, that's free-flowing and then that'll go down, and then we have our own petcock at the bottom right here. So hopefully that will solve our like star 4 fuel issue, probably is very, very long overdue.

For an oil change, that's how we're doing. Let's see what the oil looks like /, if there's any oil in it, and we learned from like the rotary cars and stuff, we actually made this thing serviceable, so you don't have to pull the engine to do any work on it. So so yeah, I sure hope, there's oil in her. It wasn't the sight glass.

It's not bad. Yes time, just brown really not that long! Well, it's like really easy to evade this. Oh our old filter, um there's a new one. All you got ta do is just kind of do a little switcheroo she's ready to go all right.

So now we're going to sink the carburetors, so the first step is to warm up the engine completely. Currently, we have our carb sync tool, all hooked up and it's pretty much ready to go. Essentially, all this is to back engages and you just there's a little adjuster in the middle and we're going to turn it with the screwdriver. Until both cars have the same amount of vacuum, I'm just gon na wait valve timing or leak at intake, manifold or heat riser all right, so we were unable to get it to sync up properly.

So now we're going through the valve lash procedure so basically to get to where you can put a ratchet on the crankshaft. You got to take out this little plastic guy and then we're gon na take off it up, see how it looks on. There looks pretty clean alright, so, as you can see, our valve lash is way too loose. So we're just going to do a quick little adjustment get insect, yeah, okay, so for it doesn't just Bailey doesn't and three fits nice sweet.
So it's like three point: something all right so now we're gon na go through, do all that with our intake and so their valve lash being off. And then our carbs unsynched there's a lot of symptoms which include kind of fluttering at idle and then like hanging up at idle and searching so hopefully now that we have that done and then we'll sink the carbs. We should be fixing pretty much everything. Let's see.

Okay, so with that, we, the engine should be all done, so this should be pretty much its final form and we're ready to go drive it beautiful day, beautiful, cart. Let's let er rip these seats and belts feel amazing, it's so secure in here yep. Thank you. Go power: sports y'all! Don't forget! None of these parts, you possible that go power sports oxfam, hooked it up on our lights and then we have our DG exhaust.

That sounds amazing on this thing, where it is really ready to let er rip tater chip Wow. That feels, like anything else, throw you're acting like so guys right now we're just driving it in fourth gear, because the shifter broke, but luckily it broke in the best gear for us to drive it in. We do want to read your it in the future, but our parts can't go power. Sports aren't here yet so for in the meantime, we're just gon na have fun with it.

I actually don't think it really needs a rig ear. It goes plenty fast and has tons of to work. We might stick with it actually, but right now we're just going to continue to have some fun with it she's a complete Ripper. Now it's not like a dog like it was in the last time we drove it.

She kind of hauls, so yeah, maybe we'll try to drift it around and stuff kind of a shame that the shifter broke, but this build breaker feet right so yeah. This is a success, though thanks for sticking with us guys. She was basically in her final form with paint and everything. So we're super excited that we even got here so that that's not a first gear launch guys.

That's a fourth gear launch because that's all we have, but it's actually pretty good. I mean it bogged but like right off the start, it's fun the tires good, which is better than we've ever been able to do. If we couldn't. Basically, what I'm saying is if we couldn't spin the tires in first gear last video our valve adjustment definitely helped because we can spin it in.

Fourth in this video - that's just kind of some scientific stuff. It definitely drives way better. As you can see, I wish we had all the gears guys Wow, all right so geez that was it was super fun like don't get me wrong. I think I was either stuck in fourth or fifth gear.

I don't know if y'all could tell, but the shifts kind of got like sloppier, so it's really hard to push it in the gear and eventually it just kind of like slowly slipping it in and then the cable just broke. But I mean it's showing a lot of promise, but I mean it kind of drifts. I mean fourth gear launches almost worked so tune the carbs a little bit, they're still cutting up a tiny bit and they got one point. Maybe the bowls ran out of fuel or something but um I mean it's: it's a new table, yeah a new sprocket, new, shifter, cable and yeah, maybe carb stuff.
We also have front fenders on the way yeah yeah, but I mean this thing is really promising. It's really starting to get there sorry. This couldn't be like the final vid, where it just works perfectly, but you know that's how it goes yeah there we'll just keep this, keep it going. But thank you guys for watching.

Thank you. Go power sports. I think we're actually going. We might, I think, in the videos to come, were because last 11 videos, I think, can fit on this thing.

So really it's just. You know kind of a lot of content. That's repetitive, you're you guys I've seen it done. I think we'll post this vid and it will give it a couple weeks.

We have a cool ATV, build that we've been working on and I'd really like to show you guys that so we'll kind of upload those videos probably and then upload. This thing riffing good and then we're thinking cuz. We had left over to the color of this paint, we're gon na paint the ATV, this color and kind of go with the same scheme. So then we can have them both riding together and maybe some sort of final vid and anyways thanks to our sponsors.

Thank you guys, of course, for watching it's been a really long build one of our favorites. So far, definitely one of the most time intensive, but we're happy it just drives and we can sit in it and have fun and you know see what it's all about so see you next time.

I'm really glad I found this video because me and my buddy came across the same bike and had basically the same idea

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars george says:

WHAT IS THE STATE OF THIS? DOES IT WORK? IS IT FIXED? I BUILT A NINJA 500 BUGGY BECAUSE I SAW YOURS BUT NOW MINE IS DONE AND WHERE IS YOURS???????????

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars dandil says:

amazing work! :O yeah, the engine doesn't sound right, maybe clean out the carb and fiddle with the adjustment a bit? It should def be way crazier lol

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars NeoIsrafil says:

Damn…shes still popping and sputtering. Ive never heard a 250r do that. Maybe try swapping to the carb from another engine or adding a pulse pump. My bike sounds much smoother, something still isn't right. 🙁

Amazing build overall, I wish i could help the engine tuning with more accurate info, but I mostly stumbled into my bike sounding and riding as good as she does. You drilled out the plugs on the tuning screws on the carb and adjusted them right?

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hadden Huntsman says:

Nice build 👌🏼 I have a sand rail that needs a suspension upgrade like you guys did!

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cody Smith says:

The fact that the wheels dont spin when he gets on it suggests the clutch is smoked

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars motor life says:

Id regear it you shouldnt be able to go to 6k and barely move you should be able to go to 2k-3k and whip it around and spin the tires in 1st gear sooooo yea it needs a regear badly to me it seems like a dog (goes real slow) in first gear second gear and third gear it seems slow on them gears @buildbreakrepeat

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mark's Small Engines says:

I'd be spraying a bit of carb cleaner around the intake boots while running as it's got bad rev hang and sound real lean at high rpm. It's much better though it's a great build guys 😁👍

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Vance mac D says:

I would say it is geared very low, but it's what you want. Great build either way

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Broo_sh says:

bigger gears its needs also you can clearly hear when next gear comes rev its still so high

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jon Matlock Carter says:

So happy that it works good because I am building a 250 motorcycle engine buggy and I was worried that it wouldn’t go fast

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sickstring Bender says:

Sounds rough in mid-range rpm. May want to clean the carbs and go up on the mid and high jets. Just to be safe and not run it lean. Try the stock airbox too.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Mcginnis says:

I hear a cut through out the rpms i keep hearing it i would check the coils and cdi

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars justin swanson says:

Super lean dudes. Either air leak at the intake or needs to be jetted for the pipe and intake mods. Other than that it's a sweet build! You guys did a great job!

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars cain sample says:

Its awesome….deff change the gearing dont leave it. .it needs it if you can launch in 4th ot 5th…👍

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jason Bissell says:

Sounds lean. And i would put a expansion "fatty" exhaust pipe. Pull a spark plug and look at the color. Should be a ups brown color

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tyler Worrell says:

Great build. Cool to see it run. Seems to be geared a little low tho. Like to see ya sideways around those gravel corners!

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Big Johnson says:

It still doesn't sound right… awesome build tho. You guys will sort it

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jostein Carlsen says:

Doesn’t Sound very happy. But you dude’s will get it going right soon👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Blake Tweedie says:

Need to pull the clutch when you shift cause it’s gonna make your clutch last longer and it was made to be pulled when you shift maybe look into a recluse clutch if you want to just shift without pulling the clutch

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nelson Bettencourt says:

Spray some carb clean or brake clean on and around your intake boots if there is a leak it will change the idle. Pin point and repair
