Episode 8 of Restoring a Vintage GoKart! In this video I install the brake, cables, and chain in order to test the engine. Thanks for watching!

Welcome to the next part of the Go-kart build! Got the engine on the Vintage Go-kart Now let's hook up our cables and take it on as made in Voyage for the brakes. I'm going to use this Go Power Sports cable and weld on Tab when I welded on the engine plate I Welded on this little piece of round bar and drilled a hole in it for our rear brake band. So that goes on like this. your cable passes through that hole and through the center of the band in the back.

It'll go through a barrel clamp and then you'll just tighten that down. My clutch is sprocket out line so now I can install the chain. Now we'll test it on the table just to make sure everything's in working order. Not bad.

So how is standing on the table not exactly like working on the floor? Actually I was wrong, falling off can break your neck.
