In this video we revamp the twin engine minibike we made at the 2018 Pate’s Swap Meet and get it ready for some drag racing with the good folks over at Texas Outlaw Minibikes! We reverted the reverse flow (backwards running) Predator 212 from the last video to run forwards again and used it in place of the 3hp Briggs on the front of the bike. Then we took the built Tillotson off the race bike and used that as the main engine. We used an eBay thumb throttle to control the front engine and a simple twist grip for the main engine. Once you engage the front engine it feels like a huge boost of power, but it spins the tires and makes it hard to control. Some more tweaking in the future and this thing will be an absolute BEAST!
Thank y’all for watching, stay safe, and be sure to stay tuned for the next video!

Oh so i hope you remember the twin engine mini bike. That's all-wheel drive we built this thing a couple years ago. The paid swap meet so now we have this chip running with mikuni, so we're gon na bolt it up we're just gon na clutch on there and then we'll run the chain and then we'll get throttle and kill, switch hooked up and it'll be for first drive With two engines, but we always thought of it - would be cool if we put some slicks on it, put two 212s on it and made it a drag bite because we think it'd be pretty fast and it doesn't really have that much of a purpose. So it might as well be something quirky and fun.

We found a drag race, that's at 10 o'clock to 12 o'clock. Um problem is it's seven o'clock right now on the day of the drag race and we haven't even started yet. So what we're gon na do is try our very best to get it all done in time, because you know we're college students. We just got back, we drove in last night.

We got in at like one o'clock. We woke up early this morning um. So we kind of got that no sleep energy, so let's build a really, probably stupid, mini bike and not that much time all righty. So simple.

As that output minus the kill switch and then i think our first order of business is we're gon na get this other back motor off and then we need to basically check our clearancing in the front. Ideally, we want to fit the widest tire possible up front here: um, we have a three inch wide rim and a four inch wide rim, we'd like to fit the four um, but if we got to fit the three, that's what we're going to do you sprock On the front hub and we're in business yeah, so it's the same 72 and go power, sports links in the description and then we're turning and burning, we'll get the front tire on and then motor time the note cards also now we know it won't be pinched. Yeah, that's good. It's like an hra spec man, especially with welds, that all right this is a beast plate.

So we don't bend this thing. I mean it's. Actually, it's very sturdy. I think she's gon na hold up yeah only like twice the power yeah exactly.

I guess it held up sick hi everybody, so i hope you remember this thing from the backwards motor build. We did i'll link up the video because it was a funny one um, but it's right. I flipped the uh, the coil here and now we're running the correct way. We got a 22 mil from go powersport, so i'm going to get this bolted up and then we're going to get this thing bolted up front and we have a build.

Your own header kit we're going to go with the same upright exhaust with a tractor flap on it. Let's see if this thing even fits. Oh yeah wow all right, so i'm gon na be wild. Yes, sir.

Wild indeed hope you, like our custom exhaust. It's going to rip this thing to be really really loud, with um, with two straight pipes on it, because they're running this guy and we're running that rlv not rlv. What is that called the fmb pipe? That's all tig welded up from go power sports in the back another thing we're pulling off this race bike motor because we're running her too. This is a built tillotson, so yeah.
So basically the idea is we're. Gon na have the built tilleton in the back and then just a stock to stock with valve springs and a makuni up front. So it is, this thing seems stupid, fast yeah. So the plan for this thing is we're.

Gon na put the turbo motor that we did like a state. I don't know if you could call it a stage five, but it basically had everything. Um, we're gon na put a flat slot on that revamp the race bike and make it a ripper, because we really do enjoy the tomb racing, especially at kind of those big tracks and stuff, so it's fun. But with that being said, this is certainly no slouch of an engine, we're probably pushing 18 horse.

With this thing, it's pretty crazy today, you'll definitely be scary, yeah cool, all right, all righty, let's, let's swap out we're going to get the fmb pipe on there and then put it on this thing is going to be a ripper wow. It already looks insane dude. All right we're about ready to hustle and get out of here before we go. She needs a tractor flop, of course, so back at the old nostalgia should be pretty rad all right, baby, hey we're on the way, hopefully uh.

What do you? Let's? I guess we can survey kind of what do you think uh? What do you think is gon na break if anything breaks? I guess we have to in this video we're just going to go test. It first yeah um, i think the front chain sketch but other than that. Honestly, i don't think there's any real weak points other than that, but that is a big weak point. So what we're hoping we'll be able to do is get like five minutes of testing and then we'll be ready to rip all righty.

So we made it here alive and well the bike made in one piece: um, the good news is it's. It's probably close to 12 and they haven't started racing yet save a little bit more time. What do we got to do? Jason, yeah um? I just got to get so. We have the back throttle on and we're actually getting full throttle, which is awesome.

We, i don't think we're getting full idle but and uh so yeah. We just make sure the front gets full throttle and then a kill switch and actually we should be done. We didn't have that much info and actually the class has a seven horsepower limit. Um.

That's for, like the actual official racing with like, i think i think they had like a money pool and stuff like that um, but we're not here for that uh. We just wan na do some grudge racing, so we're gon na stick around i'll, get some footage and stuff, and then we can um. You know let it rip, hopefully raise some fast bikes and see. What's up, oh yeah, that's freaking, loud glass! It really exceeded my expectations.

Like um, i mean obviously, with this much weight up front. You can't wheely it. So i can just like floor. The rear engine, the front engine just kind of skips along, but like it rips, it's it looks sick.
I want to see you go up against somebody yeah, we got ta, compare it yeah right. We lost the tractor path, though man yeah. Oh, it's not! Okay! Oh all, right guys, so we only got a couple runs in, but our time frame is up um. We only got a couple runs because we're so late, but you know that's okay.

This thing has proven itself uh the front tire is flat, so we're definitely replacing this with a lot wider tire because, as you all could probably see this thing's just spinning the front tire but yeah um, it's really fast. It launches awesome and you'll definitely be seeing more of this thing, so thank y'all for watching bingo powersports for all the parts on this build and be sure to subscribe and see you next time.

If you guys ever ride this mini bike again PLEASE put a billet aluminum flywheel on the front engine and the back one if it does not already have it. There is a real risk that one of those stock flywheels could explode when your getting 6,000 plus rpm out of those engines. Stock flywheels are designed to spin up to the governor's set rpm and no more.

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Anthony Quinones says:

You can balance the front motor by fabricating short jackshaft coming off fork

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars NightRiderzCreations says:

Does the weight of the engine make it more sketchy to stir at high speeds?

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars amber hunter says:

Put a delay on the throttle. Make the front motor hit last but still rev out. You could make a throttle bracket With two wires that go to a single throttle You don’t want the from spinning its gonna crash somebody if you make any more power.

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars DrugTalk 101 says:

Had no idea there was a place ppl raced mini bikes like this! Hahaha 😝 this is great I wish Colorado had this!

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Blake Langley says:

Just got done watching all of your videos… I love the vids btw and for a video suggestion you guys should build a racing lawnmower.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Erwin says:

Another gasoline powered mini-bike. How unique and special. Guys, the world is moving to all electric. You even started to build an electric kart. What's happened to it?

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cole Rippeon says:

The bike needs more positive caster. You need a long rake. This will put more weight on the tire. Get rid of the slick. They work well on ultra smooth asphalt, not road pavement. The turf saver tire will hook up alot better.

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tristan 347 says:

Next video you guys should do a mario kart themed go kart. Like if you agree

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Crazy Mower says:

I wish you kept the flathead Briggs on there and used same style carb for both

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Spooky Donkey says:

Nice! Maybe you could tune the front motor for the top end when you can get some weight on it. Best of both worlds? 🤷‍♂️

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Travis King says:

wider slicks, steering stabilizer, move seat forward, and 2 perfectly matched, built engines. Idk just thinking out loud. Love the awd mini. lol

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ENGINES N WHEELS says:

It actually launched good and pulled hard! If the wide front tire doesn't help a lot then maybe add 20lbs or more upfront until minimum wheel spin is confirmed.

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars DougL says:

What if you change the gear ratios to be different so a high ratio in the back to lunch and a low ratio in the front for top speed something to try maybe.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars DAT Blue Husky says:

wtf you guys have local mini drags like that, id be bringing the turbo or rotary and race them

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Beer says:

Don't know of any hint of a street race like this where I live in Australia.

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kaden Larson says:

what if you ran the backwards engine backwards on the front, and a normal engine powered the rear?

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Braptastic films says:

Should have put 2 exact same engines.. one is gonna over power the other, more rpm and power on one and then basically one stock, lol doesn’t make sense… the front engine isn’t gonna be spinning fast enough or give enough power to keep up with the Tillotson 🤷‍♂️ just my common sense speaking out

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars PhatSphinx says:

put a slightly smaller sprocket on the back or largeer on the front and get some weird 2 stage action

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Teddy. says:

Move the fuel tank to the rear and move the seat more to the front so u will get more grip at the front.

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Don't Worry About It says:

Yall gotta make a front wheel drive go kart 😹 rear engine then front wheel drive
