In this video we take the Rotary Turbo Minibike and the Lil’ Rascal from Gopowersports back out to Daniel’s land and got to see what a difference the Turbo has made since the first time we rode it NA. We swapped the gearing to give it less torque and more top speed and it performed great! Next up we’re thinking of adding a boost gauge and doing some testing.
Thank y’all for watching, stay safe, and be sure to stay tuned for the next episode, the FIRST DRIVE!

Oh all right step number one undo the work we did last video. So with the turbo. We have a little bit more torque on this thing, so we're gon na give it a shot with the smaller sprocket, so yeah, also it only rips around 6000 rpm stock. So we don't want to over rev it by trying to hit high speeds.

This is true all right, well, rory's, all ready to go with the re-gear and the turbo we're also bringing a little rascal, because we haven't had another video that thing and figure we're gon na go out to daniel's land. Tomorrow, do a little bit of head-to-head. It's gon na be pretty cool, so we're out here with the rotary turbo. We also brought the little rascal we're here at daniel's land.

He's really nice to have us yeah, anytime yeah for sure be sure to check out his youtube channel at dj tuning he's building. Like a v8 death car yeah, some racing mower stuff in the works yeah a little bit about it, yeah, hopefully i'll, be building uh, some some pretty cool in the future, with a lawnmower and a v6. So keep your eyes peeled, for that sounds rad, but we're just gon na get right into riding these things. Hopefully we don't blow up the rotary.

We did the gearing change, so we're gon na be pushing a little bit more boost with the torque and uh kind of have a little bit more runway out here. So let's hope it doesn't blow up so so yeah guys, so i just warmed it up. It definitely we just re-geared it and it still has like way more torque than the old version like it's. It definitely is improved like 100, all right so really yeah, there's no suspension's a little tough on the back, so so so all right.

So first impressions um like without a doubt this thing makes a ton more power. Y'All can probably hear it having a little bit of wheel, spin and stuff, and it just like it has a little like. Maybe turbo lag, or maybe it's not jetted right but like once it gets in the power band. It is insane like kind of scary, because you can't really put your foot on right or like put your either.

Neither foot really fits and it's really bumpy but yeah. This is insane yeah guys. This thing drinks fuel like there is a little bit left in the bottom, and i just drove from the far end of the field here and it's all gone yeah and it's a little too gnarly out here for the rascal um. It's kind of nice on this, the roads and stuff, but i think out in the yeah, it says suspension in the seat yeah, so it's yeah.

I think the rascal actually could keep up, because this thing's making like 20 horsepower um. But i mean this thing might be pushing the similar like it's faster. It really like. I don't think i've gotten it to the highest rpm i can go but, like i don't know, if it's worth it, i pull it up.

Yeah cause it's only rated for six thousand, but um, no, like honestly high rpm. This thing makes like really good power huh. I need to lift up my butt, but my foot still hurts so i can't like stand up just like launch it on the gravel. A couple times, yeah yeah it like go to my foot.
Oh i like, i can't drive it man so so so turn so what'd. You think dude. That thing is sick. You can really feel the turbo kick on.

Oh sweet, like you just pull off with the rotary and it's real nice and then the turbo. You can really feel it kick in sick. Well, that's good to hear man cause. I know you got some experience with boosting stuff, so i'm glad we got it.

It's definitely making boost. No, i should have put a gauge on it and see yeah right for sure sweet. So we got the dj tuning seal of approval. Then huh.

Definitely this thing's awesome nice. So this thing is rowdy yeah yeah, it's pretty fun cool anything! You want to say in particular, i shouldn't have worn shorts, yeah yeah sweet yeah. I was like tiptoeing on like the yeah yeah. You did not look comfortable, yeah yeah.

We were talking about maybe adding some backpacks yeah. Like i don't know. Where do you think you feel comfortable kind of just like right here, yeah yeah, what's blocked here by the carb and on the other side, it's right next to the exhaust and the engine block, it's just not ideal! Yeah! We got a lot going on here. Yeah.

We need like moved, did that might work turbo and everything oh clocked like that, would have made it hard to make that pipe though yeah, let's move the pegs. All right here goes. Nothing! Do that thing, hauls man all right guys. So with that we'll wrap up this video here, i hope you can tell that it's changed a lot since last time we were out here without the turbo.

It's a lot faster, you get into that boost and it just takes off. So thanks to daniel again for letting us come out here and ride around make sure to check out his channel at dj tuning. We also wanted to ask you guys about kind of the future of this. We were in between chrome powder coat like this bike would have been stock or just leaving it patina and clear coating it.

So let us know what you think them in the comments, so yeah guys. Thank you for watching. I think you got powersports pretty much all the non-turbo parts on this build or go powersports and make sure to subscribe and we'll see you next time.

Must have missed it somewhere… what motor is this?

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Milton Gimenez says:

Needs more RPM rotary's need to rev to the moon to make proper use of the turbo and boost .use some premix and fab up better foot rests then u can really party 🥳👌🏽

If your forks ever give out on you, get a Azuza fork.. its the only thick forks in the minibike industry, and it makes the bike look a lot sexier. I have one on my El Tigre..

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Wolf Rose says:

The rotary gods at Angel Performance would love this bike!!

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars devin kirkwood says:

You should put a tachometer on it so you know the rpms

I feel like that motor has more…. Wind it out on the road. Rotary's LOVE RPM

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars APEX SPEX says:

Unsure if you knew this but those rotary engines LOVE high RPM
Like a 3 rotor can go up to 9,000 rpm

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sam ur Boi says:

Dat rotary rips but you arent hitting powerband long and far enough, get a tach

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sus Noisess says:

put a quiet exhaust on it so you can hear the turbo

I seen that backwards engine just finished the video

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Talan Peterson says:

It would be cool to have a tach that works with 1 cyl engines but I can’t find one anywhere

I wish to offer my 2 cents worth to the pot. First, I may have missed a reason, but why do you guys keep using this field for testing? You obviously are getting beat up on the rascal and no doubt losing some sensory feedback for tuning purposes. I know you guys know this, and are obviously having to use this field for a reason, and that's why I'm asking. No criticism, just curiosity lol. What I really want to know, I suppose, is if you will be able to test on asphalt in the near future?

As for my other questions. First, you "should" be able to get some high rpms out of this little rotary. So, is it possible to use some type of aftermarket performance ignition system for small scooters? (Like a ruckus or zuma?) You might be a little too limited with the original ignition system.

I get why people are suggesting a cvt type setup, but I like the idea of a high performance clutch that has some tunable functions. That way the build remains very light and compact.

I encourage you to develop this thing further. I don't know about you guys, but this thing definitely seems to be a project that has exceeded expectations. A very exciting experiment that has shown a bunch of promise. I know that this is the build you had planned, and going further is beyond the plans and the budget, but some things are worth going the extra mile. I think this seems to be one of those things.

All in all, this is an awesome build as it is and I congratulate you for that success.

It sounds like a 2 stroke almost. That's awesome.

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jediknight 129 says:

Sounds like you need a CVT or a conventional gearbox and to look at your rpm limiter and use the gearbox to keep it in the power.

Hell a dyno run will be useful

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Terry Gilsenan says:

Where does someone get a rotary motor like that? I have been looking…

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars B5 Brian says:

Got out of the fucking field and go down the road

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Garage 250 says:

Were you not afraid of hitting a HUGE bump in that Field, and going skidding down the field on you teeth? Lol😂😂

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars TicTacawsome 2 says:

i want to see that thing go on a dyno and i want to ride it

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Bearded Scratcher says:

This is a really dope build! Can you tell me who the artist is that does the song for the intro?

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Matthew Schoen says:

You guys should bring back your rotary shifter kart it was hands down the best kart

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jakson Palmore says:

Rotarys love boost and rpm you guys probably didn't hit 5500rpm they will rev to 10000 all day

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bogdan Naleszkiewicz says:

Consider: DJ Tuning, if the Dyno needs setting up/assembly/testing, maybe, offer/schedule the task with BBR and let them test away. Bo.

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jonathan w says:

I cringe every time you guys are ripping in this location! 😖
The tall weeds and grass is just waiting to surprise you with a little pot hole and just destroy the front end 😖😖😖😖

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Poulsen says:

A slightly smaller exhaust header could possibly increase exhaust velocity and help with turbo lag, just an idea if you guys want to experiment with that
