DG Ninja 250r Muffler - http://dgperformance.com/dg-performance-models2.php?category=Kawasaki&model=Ninja%20250%20R&appYear=2008&prodType=Exhaust
We're building on offroad shifter kart buggy! The base frame for this new project is a Manco Deuce go kart with a semi-independent rear suspension. In this video we finished all the wiring and were able to get this thing running! We also had to buy 2 extra parts bikes because we needed a cdi unit as well as a new ignition system.
Thank you guys for watching and be sure to subscribe to see us finish this thing and rip it!

Alright how's it going guys Dan here with bill, breaker Pete, and today we are going to get this do some running. It was kind of an idea to do this in the last episode, but we ran into some issues with like a anti-theft on the motor. It really doesn't like being outside of the motorcycle with a different ignition system that turn it on, because I mean we didn't want to use the factory ninja ignition because it's like screw it in to where the handlebars are for anti-theft, so we're gon na have to Figure that out but other than that we just need to top it off of fluids and then we'll be able to hear this thing wrong with our brand new exhaust and stuff. It's gon na be awesome, but that being said, let's get to the wiring.

We got the wiring in the Duce just trying to figure out like everything I mean, there's a lot of hacked wires, so we just got ta figure out what we need and what's just kind of peripheral stuff that won't matter. So, if you're up-to-date on the build. I'm sure you remember that we actually did make a nice battery box for this thing at the front of the footwell, but because we were just testing everything we did as if Tyler go power, sports battery right here and we're gon na hook, everything up and then We can start looking at our ignition system. I worked in the last couple of days just trying to get this thing running, and the anti-theft system on this thing is killing me.

Apparently, all we need is enough resistance to step down to 12 volts to 6 volts where it goes in the CDI box, everything else could have 12 volts. So that's pretty simple, just twisting the wires together. That gives us our lights. I guess it's our gauge outputs that gives us our cranking, but so basically it seems like everything is working fine, but we don't have spark because we don't have the six volts going to our CDI and I have been able to get it to where we have Pretty much signals on right to our CDI yeah.

It's really just confusing me a lot, I'm when Jason, Jo, get here we're gon na have them trying to take a look at it too, but because we need a video this weekend, I'm just going to move on to some of the things that also need to Get done so the order of this bill might be a little weird now cuz we're starting to do things like the shifter and clutch and all that stuff, maybe the lights and hoods, and you know all the other things I need to get done before. It's even running, but that's cuz. I know we can get it running once we have spark, because we just need to get the ignition to work, because this thing did run on the bike off the bike. It just doesn't want to run into this car.

For some reason, so, let's get to mounting up our shifter and our clutch okay, so I got the shift grant. I also put the seat back yet, but this is kind of my idea, so we're gon na be hands on the wheel right here and then this is just gon na be here going like that up and down should be easy, and then I'm also going to Put the clutch lever on the shifter itself, just because we don't have the real estate to have a clutch foot pedal and it's kind of different driving feel this is more of like a crawler as opposed to a racer like on the rotary. I really liked having the clutch foot pedal because it felt a little your car. This doesn't really need to have that same feel.
It just needs to be functional. So that's our about the hand, lever, lever, shifter and pant clutch. So what I'm thinking is we're actually going to mount it a little bit lower so that you know it's gon na be more like a regular car height shift or not with them crazy up here, clutch is feeling om fresh. Let's see it kind of just in out easy money, I think it sounds good height to driving, shifting able to go boom here clutch and shift out, but it feels just like a regular motorcycle.

I'm actually is the universal clutch cable, and it's kind of I think it's just gon na have to dangle here, because it's like kind of just perfectly the right leg but yeah it's gon na work, pretty good. Okay, I don't we don't know what's wrong with this thing, we can all see you some more parts, so we're gon na go and buy another 250, just a complete new bike, so join us on our adventure. Let's go buy a new bike to drive an hour to go pick up to a ninja to 50s for $ 200, so we're doing it. Hopefully, hopefully we need a working CDI in a working ignition switch.

Both these bikes are complete loop tees, but we're hoping that if we have three different CD eyes, one of them should at least work. So let's go get some more stuff. We're here to pick up the ninjas and we met Billy here is actually a subscriber. So that's awesome, small we're all these we're gon na try to start this thing up yeah.

So this is the part spike. If you can't tell so and we're thinking that we have all these parts now, we might even be able to make a running bike. If we just kind of collaborate, all the good things about both legs together, let's get the other one in there all right. So we know this one makes spark and we have the ignition and the key from this one.

So we're going to do is we're taking mission off with the more clap one and they're going to take the CDI box up for this one we're both on the one we have mounted right now and everything should be running: okay, so harvesting our ignition sweet. So we could actually test this right now yeah. So all we got to do is slap a new CDI in click, the ignition, if it would be doing so. Luckily, I kept the other side of the wire or the wires.

So this is all really plug-and-play. So we just got that one out and then put this one in so we turn this on and show their temperature sensors working. I honestly didn't check before, but it's a good sign engine run me crazy. When we good, I can't wait to be played revving it out.

Then let me go like ten thousand, our guys when it has six gears this things to be rowdy people. Thank You, Gigi yeah! What's that noise, that's what we wanted to hear that may go into wherever we did in Texas and buy two extra bikes just tonight to hear this thing run it made it all worth it. So that's cool stuff! Oh, I have to admit, I didn't think we'd get this thing running today, but here we are. I also didn't think we'd buy two more ninja frames either, but we did that as well, so this video is kind of all over the place.
At one point I was literally like this engines not gon na run in this video. So then I did things like the clutch and start working on the shifter. I'll probably include that in this one, just cuz for continuities sake, but basically we got this thing running. We did all the wiring, we filled up with a gas or in the fuel lines, and it sounds amazing guys it revs up so well.

It sounds beautiful with the DG pipe, so yeah we're really happy with how it's turning out. As always. Thank you go Powersports. Thank you.

Dg things like the tires. A lot of the axle parts steering components are often go power sports. This thing sounds so awesome because of our DG pipe. So thank you DG.

Thank you guys for watching in the next video we're basically gon na make all the wiring kind of permanent, not completely permanent cuz. We still need to paint this thing, but we're gon na do things like kind of mount up our gauge cluster, we're going to work on making the like the clutch, sensors and the shin the shift or work. Everything like that so kind of a final rendition of the wiring, and then we're also going to do things that basically allow us to drive this thing forward a little bit. So that's gon na be the next video we'll get the shifter done.

We get the gas and brakes hooked up and you'll be able to see this thing move under its own power and then once we're done with that we're so close, then it's just only cosmetics, though so. Thank you guys for watching see you next time.

My 99 ninja engine wouldn't spark because of the stupid security thing. I was able to bypass it adding a 100ohm resistor in the grey wire from the ignition. If anyone else has the same problem and year bike it may save you some trouble.

Sounds good except for that light partial throttle misfire. sounds to me like the engine is missing a ground or two and when you did the test fire engine rev the transmission was in gear as well.

I drilled out the rivets, on the bottom side of the triple tree, so I could take the ignition loose from that big chunk of aluminum. I have some video from a couple years ago of me riding it. Can't wait to see it crawling around!

Dude, I know a lot of guys use a handle clutch, but you'll enjoy the buggy so much more if you build a pedal clutch for it. Setting up the brakes may be a pain, but I guarantee you'll enjoy it so much more. Other than that, it's looking and sounding great!

Kind of sounded like the cylinders weren't running in sync at low to mid rpm. Single carb, but I think it's two jets in separate venturis.
