Well this video marks a pretty cool time for the FL250 odyssey restoration. After rebuilding the motor and touching every single bit of this thing's frame including each nut and bolt, it's finally time to let er' rip! The Honda FL250 odyssey was made for a long time and is known as a type of legend within the karting/utv community for its durability and 250cc 2-stroke madness. We were very excited to begin working on this thing and it has made a major transformation in terms of looks as well as driving capability. While it still drives a little rich, that can be tuned out with time so we are excited to see what this thing can really do when its perfectly set up.
Thank you guys for watching and be sure to stay tuned for the rest of this build!

Yeah the "crankcase vent" is the pulse hose, but it does sound rich.
Great build guys! Working in rebuilding one on my channel now. Just got it started and finally rebuilt the fuel pump yesterday. Gonna post that video this week.
Just Finished restoring my 1983 FL250 … What a blast. You want to run it a little rich on air fuel mixture on break in and fat on oil mix 20:1. If you want it to last. YOURS LOOKS GREAT!!
Where did you get those Honda stickers and the one under the steering?!
Old school cool, right on.
Did you say you're from Texas what part of town
Dude, first of all u have a points type ignition system This is why the coil has to be for points, so what u need to do is pull the magneto off and clean, or replace the contact points and condenser, set the gap to spec! Too close and will rev high but have no bottom, too much gap will make it come out of the hole hard and fall on its face! Finding the happy spot is key! Plug the (vent) it's a pulse port to the fuel pump! Once it's running remove the starter and spray flammable carb cleaner around the crankshaft seals!! 1 behind the magneto and 1 behind the clutch! If any changes in the way it runs then they leak! No amount of tuning will fix this! Replace them! Good luck!!
Make a fleet of anfibeus gocarts
Plzzzzzzz😀
Answer me soon please
And I know you spent a lot of time and effort in these but my son won't shutup about your guys go karts and it 50 dollars
Please
The 2 stroke or the white home made one it would make my son very happy
Or the white one from a year ago
got to ride one when i was a kid 80s one i guess had full roll bars and gloves glued to the steering wheel so you dont let go is you flip
Midrange jetting go big
My FL250 was the same way. It would fall on it's face mid range and then kick in like a turbo all of the sudden. I had to constantly adjust the fuel mixture until I finally found out it had a small vacuum/sucking in air leak.
Your mixing the gas 32.1 right? She’s running to rich
Also a Rich condition would cause excessive smoke, this engine does not. Especially wouldn't smoke with that HUGE vacuum leak,( crank case vent)!?! On a 2-stroke engine!?¿! Suggestion, give up on getting this engine tuned.
That's rip'in it? THAT SHIT IS A DOG! Take it back to the drawing board dudes.
Hey I got a predator 212 cc on my go kart but most of the time when I try to start it it idles and then I turn the choke off and then it screeches and dies I think it might be the clutch I oiled it and it did the same thing anyone know what I could do
Good show fellas!
