No Hey, where's my seat? Is it recording yet? Yeah, Okay, then gosh my anus. Sorry, Do you want to be on? okay. Shuffle over a bit more. Alright, ready? Hey! welcome to everyone's favorite segment.

My toe bag Sagen, He's back. Say hi Sagen Hai supposed to say hi Sagen? What nitrate? Yeah, alright. Save his back to school holidays isn't it? Dude? Yeah. The hovering DeLorean which we got to hover once once we got too high and we wrote a in it would rotate and spin.

It was just too tricky, wasn't it? Yeah, yeah. but just a shame cuz it's really quite good. Sure we could get it going again. anyway.

Next on the Shelf let's have a look. This is from Australia and it is from Tyler Thank you very much Tyler All right from Sally Kingswood in South Australia Thank you very much Tyler and it does have I Must slash it here with the Crocodile Dundee Nice. Oh can I have the large knife there? Please say again GPS I Found this still working I think 2008 TomTom Oh wow. while excavating added that the dig site.

We've never had any formal education electronics but courtesy of the technicians at Uni and your YouTube channel now make a memo at my own: rechargeable remote data acquisition modules awesome and instrumentations within blended and blended embedded bluetooth. Perhaps a teardown of this artefact to me, an artifact would prove educational for the masses. If we can do a teardown, no worries. Sorry.

All right, sound in the dumpster? Yeah, that's crazy innit Wow Something like mint-in-box Mustique on the top Mint-in-box Wow Alright TomTom GPS You love dead ends? Yeah, check it out. Mint-in-box TomTom XL Australia this would have been the Ducks guts spoken street names. Ah, it's what have been the Ducks guts back in the day. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a TomTom at Fanboy back in the day before.

I Borrowed somebody's TomTom that had the world maps on it and I went to Hawaii and so we took it over there. used it in the rental car we had over there. We're trying to find our way to our restaurant I think I was on the Big Island and it took us to a paddock filled with Porter Danny's I kid you not? Porter Danny's um yeah, that was bizarre right? Then we. yeah, we ditched it anyway.

um yeah, this is mint-in-box Look, it's still got the protective wrapper on it. Oh, that's beautiful. It's got all the original cables in the original. Man, you are right.

So how do you get this open? I assume you prize it all the way around there. Hmm. I'll get back to you. It's hard to do with the bloody camera in the way.

Well, it looks like it's a there's a two-level plastic, there's a plastic outer bezel, and then there's a metal shield under there as well. so she's supposed to get the plastic one off first or not. I think so Oh it's not gonna be pretty. That's the ticket I Have to get a bit medieval on its ass and then we've got the metal bezel.

I Do recall now that way back I think in the garage days I actually released a like a Dave voice um GPS a thing was it I think it was for Garmin and it was. It's probably on the forum and the web site somewhere. you can probably still download it. yeah, my voice file.
so you get my voice coming up. Chuckie you e mate turn left at the next light, you hang a right at the next servo. All right. So four screws and this is just gonna pop out.

Tada we're in like Flynn Oh do we have a puffy battery? might have a puffy battery Oh some axle Wow Spared no expense and yeah, you know it's gonna have a GPS receiver and a process ridden. Yeah, it's about it. It's a two minute area and the LCDs got some flat flex circuitry on there. Just some drivers and it'd be like a backlight driver.

So single board solution of course that's what you'd expect. Ah, big enough speaker at the back. There you go, that's not too shabby of course. Nice big port on the back and I guess that's kind of locked if you have it fully pressed in like that.

but if you have it bent out, then yeah, it can get out. Okay, it looks like we've got our flash memory down here. The firmware version is a sticker is a dead giveaway. Anyway, you've got you all your passives on the back.

whole bunch of termination resistors around here. They're all your bypass caps so there's a chippy on there. You can see all the V is coming through, so that's probably the large processor and we can probably pop these cans off - uh-huh under that can. That's all our power supply job is because you know you can tell Controller Kiss you've got the inductors and a whole bunch of passives and whatnot around there.

and that's an output main output filter cap is on the other side of that, but it looks of it and of course on the top, we've just got a little patch antenna. That's yeah, it's good enough Ross try and right next to the patch antenna. Surprise surprise is our GPS receiver and it's in an Infineon Hammerhead. PMB 2524 Those playing along at home and the datasheet swallows ridiculous nd ABS things.

but here Google fixes that. So yeah, it's just a single chip by GPS Solutions. got the RF front end. so RS straight in and then it's got all the correlation engines and all the rest of the GPS goodness and then just data out basically and not inside a shield.

But yeah, it's got its own little ground around. There is a Wolfson Dude Audio DAC chipset, so you need that for your speaker of course, but your speaker driver is that it on the bottom couldn't even be bothered to look it up. Sure it is. And the heart of this thing is a Samsung I'm a nine to six of processor 2004 vintage and it's specifically designed and targeted to what mobile GPS applications you know, low-power all that sort of jazz back in the day.

So yeah, exactly what you'd expect and some memory. And Bob's your uncle. And of course you might notice that because it's near the LCD connector, there's no other driver that's obviously got an LCD driver built-in So yeah, I'm Sam some specifically targeted and marketed these to the GPS market. and well, yeah, TomTom lapped it up.
And also what happens a lot is that companies like our TomTom I don't know how big they were back in the day, but like large companies can actually approach companies like Samsung and hey and say hey, you know, like customized us a chip that's you know, suited to our particular application. And yeah, we'll let you sell it to other people as well. But yeah, we want this specific one because we notice you have this off there. You know this already existing chip but now we'd like it to have this feature or take out that feature to make it a bit lower power, etc.

etc. And yeah, sometimes they'll our play ball if you're big enough. If you you know hit the quality's they're all the ground in. Spring isn't that cute so thank you very much.

I Love sending that one more than a decade old. our TomTom at GPS now. hands up if you still use TomTom I even followed the GPS market for a long time. I'm a Garmin man now but I've always been a Garmin fanboy ever since my first Etrex.

Yeaaah beauty that looks a bit puffy Wafi doesn't it? mmm yeah. want to keep using that? What do we have next next? All right, thank you very much. Secret Secret secret in Deutschland I Don't want my German viewers sorry. let's go.

You want to try and use that little. It does look like a little seahorse dumbness calculator. It's a Cassio Cassio Ah-hem 9850 Gee. I don't know the Rme designation.

That's interesting. Anyway, it's color power graphic. Nah. I don't want color on a calculator? That's ridiculous.

All right. So that will be a two-minute tear down. Sagen Scream Wow screens way off like that. but like that, it's terrible.

Mira that's an infrared remote control. Jeez. I've never seen that one before. that's weird.

Let's crack it open I think the LCD is come good. Anyway, it's like yeah. I really don't like the LCD on this. it just looks terrible.

Anyway, this is the REM 98 50g and it looks. it's like a repackaging of the CFX 98 50g and like it's it's smaller and different. and I don't understand why. Maybe like a specific market, is it like a specific educational market made in Japan All this stuff's made in Japan Anyway, they had a specific reason to redo that.

So yeah, whatever. Okay, stir it apart like can I get this damn thing open. Just had to get a bit medieval on its ass. Anyway, isn't this jazzy? Look at this lock open.

Oh, that's just fantastic. Ah, Bobby does luck So there's your backup battery I Assume it's still like SRAM based storage in this particular model and not none of that non-volatile rubbish volatile all the way with LBJ Oh yeah, that's pretty old-school isn't it? U.s. Giant S Oh packages and said Oh SRAM down there. Love the liberal use of tape on there to try and holding the huge LCD ribbon in there.
Wow Anyway, that's like at least three board construction. That's interesting. Why would they have that? that separate one? Is that just to get the reset button which comes through here like this, there's the carbon pad for the reset. Is that is that just for the backup battery? That'd be the terminals for this terminals for the backup battery.

So they're done this board just to get that backup battery. Well, that's a bit how you're doing in the design stage. Why would you do a board just like that and add the extra process of having the ribbon cable and all that manual assembly and the separate bomb item and everything Surely you could have like made these a bit deeper and have it on the main board. That's know.

take a peek under the hood here. this is actually a big cutout in the PCB the joint slot there all that's cut out and big hole in the bottom. is that the back back of our main big ass processor on that board? This is Terrible. Muriel Look at this.

We've got our hot bar ribbon attachment. sort of like and there's no length to get that out. it just goes vertical. so they've just enough lead length on there to assemble these two boards as an assembly before they screw it in here like this.

Wow Know someone wasn't thinking when they designed this for assembly and that ribbon cable is just hilariously long. Look at that. but hey, hey, actually that's the best thing I've seen so far actually. LCD just folds out like that.

actually. okay. Oh, I'll give them props for that. That's kind of cool, but it's messy when it all goes together like it's really how you're doing.

but I guess I can maybe understand that I'd uh geez, come on. Anyway, let's take a look at our big chippy on the bottom. There it is. Well it's a tiny chip with a huge fan out and they've got that's a separate attachment.

Look at that. Oh I Love that. Love how their fan to fan that out that is on its own little board. so they manufacture that as its own assembly and you could test that.

No workers on a big you know they're big. it wouldn't be a bit of nails, it would be like a big press contact kind of thing. and well, maybe they're you wouldn't You just sold it straight on and in you go. So that's actually our flex tape on there so that's not actually a PCB.

So it asides, basically cheap on flex really is what that is. and then they, of course it's what you know. a ton of pin outs because it's all got the LCD driver and everything else on it. Then they just use the fine pin attachment in there like the and then just hotbar that down around there.

Anyway, that's that is fascinating isn't it? So of course that's a custom Casio ASIC and well that's just that's beautiful Wow just love to look at that. Anyway, we've got another Hitoshi driver down there some more SRAM by the looks of it and Bob's your uncle. Oh, it's got a fancy pantsy crystal know that resonator stuff and is the infrared module which actually screws into the back there and this is like obviously like a classroom model design for like overhead projector and this actually remote control software on/off this is designed to Wow Yeah, hook up to like an overhead door class overhead projector or something like that. But anyway, yep, that's just a it's just a lead driver like they couldn't build that.
into the calculator. it had to be a separate module. you know. mm-hmm Why? Because I presume that they designed well.

Can you buy this without presume? You can just buy the calculator without the module. but then you've got all the cutouts in the back so maybe not. And they like they redesign this whole case and they getting the layout and everything from the CFX model 9850. So what? Like why wouldn't you build that in? Somehow they couldn't do that I don't know.

it doesn't make sense. Anyway, that's really cool. thanks for sending that in. And I'm not a fan of like the big graphing calculators even if they are Cassio's but anyway, that's really cool construction.

Check that out. We have seen it before it's not the first time. but I always get a kick out of seeing that coming up. David Clemen from Canada Hi to all my Canadian viewers from Sigourney it's a I'm pretty sure it's a town.

Yeah, you're right. Really yeah? Is it French because a lot of Canada is French yeah I'm pretty sure that they speak mostly. French that can you say hello in French module? Can you say goodbye? How about catch you next time? Nah nah I think it's demo with the band. A little squiggly top of the Emma's gone certain up you're writing that up.

Oh come on. Nathan Alright this little project I created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 6809. Awesome. Made made from Jelly Bean passes.

Minimal system uses no ram and only four basic ICS half of them for audio. The project uses cheap Hundred Twenty Eight by Sixty-four OLED display. Everything else comes from Digiti Set the 6000 99, 6809 and the UV Old-school UV EEPROM Great are well packaged, well packaged. Thumbs up! Oh isn't that cute? and and that's the base? That's the plus.

that's the It's a 3d printed lady's face. It's a little computer just like the RC 2014 kit that we build. cool So we can tell that I'm jinx we can. We can check it out and it's it's.

got hate. It's got mylar tight like a see-through tape on the top so you can see the EEPROM Is that gonna block the UV I Doubt it. Anyway, cool six-level 6809 project that's going to drive a little modern. OLED Display: nice I Know that is what resistor resistor very good and I would have powered this from a 5 volt.

USB Just saying, but it's got a mud pack. Let's go needs a 5 Volt DC Plug Pack 2 Yeah I Definitely would have powered it from a little micro USB micro mini USB Well ya gotta find a plug pack. They've gotta find a 5 volt plug back I'm sure we can. Good dig in the box of plug packs.
The money shot for you 6809 fanboys. Look at that and we got that. EEPROM Yeah I think that is that tape gonna stop the UV I Doubt it. Anyway, apparently half the parts on here for the audio are Jrc and by the way, it's a 99 date code I Don't know if that's acceptable, but least it's not 2000s, but still making the 68 Oh 1999 Are they still making it today? May he be? June your motor roll up so there's the details from Dave I Don't know if he sells it.

Is there a Is there a website? No. Anyway, created the project. if I can find a link I'll put it in anyway. 1978 to 2018 Beautiful 40th anniversary.

Ah that's that's pretty neat I like the little are 3d printed bottom case on it. very nice. I Like the minimalist nature it's you know. Take away all all the audio stuff there and it's at all oops.

Take away the audio stuff there and well, there's ain't much to it. But all right, let's pair it up. 5 volts. The 6809 Presents eevblog are beautiful.

Look at that. even trying to get the color on there. Oh ah, Beautiful. Hang on.

Gotta hear myself again. that's great. that's that's fairly high fidelity. I Like that catch you next time.

Love the scrolling - that's fantastic. Explain Oh Nine I wonder where he got the 6809 sample from? Must be another video? I'm sure if you search 6809 eevblog on YouTube you'd find it somewhere. Chicken dinner Winner Winner chicken dinner. it is.

Indeed, that's fantastic thank you very much. Dave Gin go it from Japan I Do all my Japanese viewers did I get many Japan Sagen and this one looks like Amazon and Amazon oh that's the Amazon side Yes YP thing I Think you're right dude. well it's never son. Fox People reuse their boxes all the time.

I'll send your nears weekly frugal to reuse things you think I'm holding boxes we will save you some goodies from Japan These bags contain handy non-standard protocols you can buy it Akihabara We just like the covering like the Shenzhen market of Japan and these are little non-standard protocol is great. we have in each one very handy. Oh cool. Casio Data bank sure Oh nice.

Oh it's a four banger. It's the Casio database watch. t-shirt Wow So yeah. I'll give you a close up look at various non-standard proto boards.

Awesome! You've got to have a junk bin of like miscellaneous proto boards a doubt like SMD to dip adapters and all that. sort of. Jones because they're just so handy. You can just need a one-off project or whatever.

just a simple or a theme, a little adapt or a filter or whatever you can reach for your proto boards and then wire these up and I think it matches up to the statue. might. Yeah, that's what the statue is for. Really weird hand shots.
that's why it's funny. It's one of those Japanese anime characters. sorry I Don't know if you watch Beyblades, don't you? That's those. Japanese Isn't it? Yes, let's just kind of freaky.

I Don't understand the whole Japanese anime thing. Hmm, don't know what this board is, but it's certainly not a universal thing. And it's real interesting that they've got a very fine patent on the silk screen there, which makes it look really kind of weird I don't know. Anyway, yeah, and they've got like a similar thing where they've removed the solder mask on the back.

Is that like little looks like little flowers or leaves or something like that? So I'm not sure. Anyway, the LCD I don't know what that boards doing a segment drive operation Network Oh there it is. I'm sure those playing look at home and check it out. Uh-huh For once, black is actually good I Don't mind a good matte black, it looks much better.

Look at that just removing the solder mask in those patterns that actually looks. You know these flower by patents that actually looks quite spectacular. rather like that. and then on the back, it's much easier to sit.

like compare that to the red one. Anyway, that's much nicer. I Like that and they've got some once again, some Japanese anime stuff. I Guess pleased to read the note date the three loose PCBs us for our personal project.

Peaceably out workers designed with note and sauce. Direct bitmap to Gerber to limeade. Oh nice, it works about Altium and Kicad Awesome! You and your viewers can try it online. There you go.

So if you want to add your funky patterns like that, it's always been a pain to add that sort of uh stuff in our to him you can do it, but it's yeah, it's always been kind of annoying and you can add some nice graphics like that. Tip: PCBs Well worth doing doesn't cost you anything. There's no extra like a cost at the PCB manufacturer for doing any fancy artwork like this. So as long as it doesn't involve any extra production steps which it doesn't because they just do the the mask over the silk screen or the solder mask, it doesn't matter what pattern you put on there, there's no cost, pen, no heel.

And of course it's on the eevblog for everyone's on the eevblog forum. Not sure what that's supposed to do, but you can check out the github x' Now we're talking regular through-hole matrix and an SMD pad one could be handy. Not sure what pitch that is, but you know the more unusual boards like these you have in your kit, the better. And here you go: Seal for our protection.

It's at eighty Japanese yen and it's just got SMD So once again, for point-to-point wiring and stuff like that, it's neat and that's actually aluminium backed nice and that one looks pretty handy. We've got a point one inch pitch plus other stuff in there. larger sized holes and smaller size holes. that could be really useful how they connected.
I Send the silk screen shows the vertical connections like that, the columns and yep, columns and rows. nice. And if you need round boards for some thing, fantastic, They're not like aluminium, but nope, no, there you go. Just point one inch matrix boards in a circular form factor.

Worth having a few of these in your kit just in case you need that particular form factor. So I think you don't have to cut it there for those who went well I wish I had one of those in an hour. medium backed one. No workers there.

it is sweet. thanks JC I Said it's been there forever I don't want to look at the dot Wow what is it? Wow Okay, this is the oldest mailbag ever. Well, I don't believe that date Oops 2015 So Nick Sayer from who's had several sucks of the SAB I Think that's why I've left it. He's that like had three sucks of the sample.

something by Chopin Note the note Nick SIA from Geppetto Electronics Geppetto Oh yes, that's a replacement. That funky Eevblog clock. I've still got that. That's that.

It's just a clock movement. It's just yeah. yeah yeah, that's up. That had the firmware that makes it do weird stuff, jump around and things.

So it's yeah. it's been, it's been hacked. It's that clock movement me you discovered there was a floor in design and the old controllers going about 10 seconds today per day to rectify that it did like it was chopped. It already shop.

Anyway, yeah yeah but this is a We. This one has been hacked so that you're a place the regular clock mizzen. instead of just ticking every second, it'll like to go backwards. little jump forwards and a like jump randomly all over the place to confuse people that sound cool.

yeah, sound like a good joke. Yeah, alright. we'll play it on mummy at home. Yeah, the clock at home? Awesome! Thank You Mick Jacobs Thank you very much.

From New Castle in California Didn't know there was a new castle in California Dude, you know there's a new castle in California Really, it's pretty new 22nd to June 22nd Yep, it's a new one and Froy FPGA you're fishing in of those. we're but FPGA All right we have a green. I'm gonna green the USB cable before. All right.

We would appreciate any feedback on the usability of our device and maybe a brief mention or one of your platforms. This is the Mailman platform of course. Um, we have pre flashed and wired up the stop options and stop watch. Example for you should be able to see the stopwatch in action pairing the device via USB Cool! So there should be a little stopwatch.

Where's how do you do the buttons? they I assume it just starts counting up fast or something cool. Anyway, it's a web FPGA thing. Navigate the website. beat up dot web FPGA dot IO click connect device to and we should be able to.

Would recommend running this one. Neopixel. Oh ok right. it's Eiv on board.
RGB LED uses a Neopixel LED So cool. Synthesis is complete. Flash device excellent. Nick Thank you very much and it works right off the bat.

You plug it in and you get the windows blue little and we have a stopwatch. Cool Here you go. It's just a little button on there so it's nice. works out of the box.

Let's hook it up to the Webby see if we can program it well. I loaded up and where USB not supported but I am using edge because it's just a clean browser anyway. Uh yeah it said Chrome or opera. so I'll try opera and bingo we're in like Flynn Scare must be handling a user gesture to so a permission request.

What does that mean I Got no idea. Um, check device type or another page is connected to the vise. Anyway, we didn't get the error we got before. Um, this looks nice.

We're straight in with Cinco We're straight in with a blinky the hello world of digital logic. Yes, um so yeah, that is terrific. So I assume I'd I'd better follow the instructions rather than stick around. But anyway, without having used this at all I like the interface with its run synthesis flush Device Connect Device Bitstream keishon why would you want that? because the USB can't keep up and then you get errors or something I don't know I'm not sure what the deal is.

Light editor theme: there you go so please ya know I like the black is better editor mode plain them Oh really yes for all you different that what? Emacs Fanboys Really? Ok sure a lot of people are going woo knock yourself out and load local file. um that's great I like a device info waiting for connection. so I guess I will push the reset button waiting for connection Connect device F9 Cascadia Web FPGA FPGA program Connect oh I've got to select it then connect and weary in. look at this connected to Sheffster + is that the name of the board? the Shasta I don't know 5,280 Logic Cell 6 They make external Auslan Neopixel RGB LED so it's recognized.

Our device tells us all the stuff we've got that's terrific. That just works. Urban Ventures are urban Ventures LLC I Assume that's their company. this is tight I'm liking this so far.

Okay, load an example from Select Odds right they recommend I Would recommend running Neopixel which one x8v know it's different. They've added some extra stuff since when they printed this. Okay, well let's just fade Neopixel X or X eight because they recommend running the X 8 fade in demo I Know what the difference is Fading Demo 1: Fading Demo 2 There's other code like in that it's very well commented. Addressable Rgo This module is copy decoded for wondered 255 LEDs in a circular Cha nice Yeah! I Like this because you'll learn from examples.

This is how you get any microcontroller or FPGA or anything else up and running. You don't start from scratch, you're loading a Blinky or a HelloWorld program and project that already works and then you start mucking around with it until you break it. And when you break it, that's when you start learning stuff and and you start modifying things. So that's how you learn and this is all well.
and I Love a huge amount of comments like that. That is just absolute. That is awesome. So let's just run the synthesis and whap Here it is: bitstream loaded in browser, ready to retrieve cache bitstream bitstream loaded in browser, ready to flash Ok I already had it and flash device.

Alright, so I presume it was already synthesized and I already had it there because if I do that again, it's just a It was already cached so it's already been done whereas it would have if we made a change or something. Can we actually make a change? Can we just change that to like 1 1 instead of 1 0 and run the synthesis There we go subscribe to stream bubble our sins and receive the request saving top fees synthesizing map IO to take the modules for warmth. Fantastic synthesis to the runtime. That's that's great.

Ok let's change that. back run synthesis is get up synthesis already running. Oh sorry. Runtime: up to two minutes Compute-intensive Oh it's still running.

No packing Successful logic cells. Hundred Twenty-five is it is a routing of design netlist successful. Everything's Wow This is great. This this is really working out of the box.

Ready to flash. Awesome All right. So I'll redo that I'll redo the synthesis on that because we I just changed it. Ah, ready to eat.

That's smart at new huh? But I made the I made the change over here. Or maybe it didn't like the undo run synthesis. Nope, it knows we already have that. Okay, hope it works alright.

Let's flash our device, shall we? Is it flashy flashing? It's doing a receive a flashing module? Good done. Jeez, that was quick. It's only a small, certainly a small bit file. No whackers? All right? So I guess what? We press the reset button, where's our neopixel and then see it fade in.

No, shouldn't have to do anything, should just be running that code. So I don't know what the I don't see anything resetting when I press that reset button. So not sure what the deal is I'll get back to you Okay, Render here an another random demo and it's not doing anything. So hmm.

it says it's doing like all the stuff, but maybe these have been maybe ever like I've got an out-of-date board or something as you be. Dot-matrix demo Audio demo: 7-segment clock demo. Let's see if we can get the clock demo running again. although some of my Y's have fallen off, I don't know where from.

Oops. Oh, maybe we can just run. Blinky. Let's run.

Blinky. Go. Blinky. Flash device.

Blink. Blink Blink. We have Blinky. We have Blinky.

All right. So that works. Um, so I'm not sure with the new pixel thing and if I hold down the reset button. reset button is a pretty inconvenient form-factor quite frankly.
I Press the reset button. It doesn't stop. I'm not sure what the deal is there. have to look at the schematic so let's see what the reset button is actually doing.

But yeah, okay, we've done Blinky. Cool. So yeah, I won't spend any more time. Joystick Demo: There's no there's no joystick on that board anyway.

I Look it. I Love the web interface at all. It's all very seamless. It's very, very nice and Blinky at least work.

so I'm sure the others work. There's probably an obvious explanation why the neopixel wasn't doing anything there, but that is that is terrific. I Really like that. That's well worth checking out if you want to get into.

FPGAs That's that's one of the best. And it's online. you don't have to download anything. It's pretty cool.

I Like it. I'll link it in down below. Definitely worth checking out. Well done guys! This one is this one's old.

I said them? do you want in case you had a bit 0 learner don't? Wiggles Ok I don't think I have a PI 0 it's a really yeah, we don't yeah Remember, you never speak like it to me yeah, but that didn't have a Raspberry Pi 0 Cool So is designed for the one point free version and although it will fit a W wireless as you can't magic well, the strength will be pretty limited if it's not blocked entirely.

anyway. I hope you put love what she did I told Chris thank you very much Chris That's a cool little update Chris isn't selling these. he just made them on. he's um CNC Mill a few years ago.

one yeah thank you very much. That's very cool so that's see. You can see the yeah because about how the milling machine comes down with a little drill bit. and yeah, because there this was a solid block was a solid block of aluminium and then the drill comes down.

This one's already open. Saying it. Oh I don't know what it is but I realize that once again you've got to put my ol' bag on the top. Open it up nice.

So multi-meter hold up. It is a cradle. thank you very much. Tim Tim G From Brisbane it's a it's a multimeter hold up.

It's designed to hold the 121 GW multimeter. Then even cool up, you might be able to, well you gonna unscrew it first? Yeah, there you go. Beautiful. So that yeah, like you know, it adds a lot of mass to it so that you you know it like you don't have to.

Flimsy stand or multimeter stanza flimsy in some respect, they're not gonna fall over. That's the middlee that's power. So Millie VA So that's Volts, Times, amps, micro amps. yeah Milliamps, how would you write that? Say again, Is that cool? Yeah, yeah.

Wow, Sagan's grown since last time I saw him in a video. Last one I remember him in for more than a brief appearance you mentioned he was just starting Kindergarten. He definitely comes across as being much more confident in front of the camera. I envy him. I wish my Dad taught me about cool stuff like EE when I was a kid. I can tell he'll have no trouble being successful when he's grown up with this incredible headstart you're giving him. Unless he falls in with the wrong crowd and decides to major in philosophy lol. You're a great father, Dave. Cheers!

No more kids please. Don't get me wrong, he's a great kid, but I think you really might regret featuring him in videos so young later on. Not only is it shaky legally due to your channel being monetized, but once he understand what has happened to his privacy, he might not like it. You are the parent at the end of the day, so you obviously get to do whatever you see fit, and more power to you of course. But I urge you to be very cautious, especially with the rise of privacy-focused laws around the world and the current state of YouTube.

You won't get a genuine Motorola 6809 (unless it's reused or new old stock), but NTE Electronics makes them as part of their sideline in parts for obsolete repair and hobbyists. You can also get the 8080, 6502, 6800, and a selection of their support chips and relatives.

The calculator might have a separate board for the LED transmitter so that they can use that board in all products that they want to add that functionality to without having to do multiple board versions.

I remember when those GPS units were still $400-500 I got my buddy a noname chinese unit for $150 and it was better than the garmin he was replacing. With a bigger screen and it could play movies from the SD card. Years later he wanted to get another but we couldn´t find who made it.

UPDATE: The WebFPGA NeoPixel demo didn't work because it was written for the external Neopixel adapter and not the internal RGB LED.
