We're building on offroad shifter kart buggy! The base frame for this new project is a Manco Deuce go kart with a semi-independent rear suspension. In this video we installed racing seats, harnesses, and rear fenders, as well as gave the roll cage a much needed chop to help angle out the proportions.

Hey guys so we're back working on the deuce yeah. So in the last couple of videos we made a sick front suspension rear scissors. For this thing we also mounted up our Kawasaki Ninja 250 motor. So the goal of this video is basically we're going to install our seats and chop the roof, because this thing's got a huge roof on it and we really like to look up a low roof buggy all right.
So, let's get started mounting these seats. The plan of attack for mounting these seats is for the rear bracket. We're gon na have the two holes and then for the front bracket. We're going to use an eighth inch barbed steel that it kind of just slides right into so it's pretty straight forward.
So now all I got to do is just drill in these holes and we can get in the back bolts. We have to deal with these mounting every here. So what we're going to do is going to use this 1/8 metal and we have the two bolts in the back and then it will kind of slide it in up front and that should keep it pretty snug. So we just finished by lysing our bracket here and now.
In theory, the seat should literally just kind of clamp in on the front part yeah, that's a good try, solid and the back. She puts it up alright, so we have the seats bolted. In I mean we didn't tighten the bolts yet, but they're super solid. So now I want you to do.
Is we need to chop the roof so on the tallest and then I'll have a helmet on so we're, probably not trying to leave like two or three inches above my head and we'll lower the roof? As much as you can ya know, it looks a little user, so it looks more like spidery yeah, although I think I think we should. We should actually turn it a little bit. Alright, so we're looking at it. It looks really good.
It's not like super chopped or anything, but we think it just kind of looks right, like it's subtle but, like I mean any good shop, it's pretty subtle, so um definitely have enough Headroom I mean if, when I'm wearing a helmet, like maybe you'll hit it tap, It but I think, we're gon na. I think it's perfect, actually yeah. So now what we got to do is luckily we made it so this slides on. So now we can just mark where we cut the back, but you can see we're chopping about four inches or so not the front.
So we have to cut the cow yeah. Okay, so this cage looks amazing. It's all kind of tacked in there we'll weld it all up when we do a final disassembly before the first drive but kind of see the seats in here and stuff. So the kind of last thing we need to do is we have our go power.
Sports five-point harness is here and we're going to be able to retain all three of the factory seat belt mounts because the deuce did have seat belts, but we are gon na have to make a harness bar that kind of holds in these back two harnesses through Here so the idea is, this will actually look pretty good too we'll use our Pro Tools, bender and some 1 inch tubing and we'll just kind of bend up a bar that goes back here and we'll be able to attach our harnesses. So, let's get to bending something heart as far as in we're really happy with how it turned out, it actually took us a kind of a long time to do it, just because it's kind of it's like different angle, notches and like it had to fit within The hoop here, but we got it done and we're really happy with how it turned out so now all that stuff to do is we need to mount up basically the back seat belts here. So we're gon na just cut off the stock seat belt. Mount well lit down here and then bolt it up and then we'll have the harness bar just working, how it should, while we're doing the seats in the roll cage. We wanted to do one more quick, aesthetic, mod, that's benders, so go Powersports. Give us these brackets and plastic fenders, and so we're gon na put these like that, probably and it kind of angle facing forward and so to make these brackets work. We're gon na have a chocolate and extend them a little bit and they're just gon na weld on right here, but just so then the proper space. We need to do a little modification right now.
What we got is our fender mounted to the bracket a little bit and we're just kind of mocking it up to see what position we're gon na get it. We just extended the mouth with just a little piece of pipe there, so once we get it, how we like it - probably something like this we'll weld it in our fender brackets are welding on. As you can see, things aren't going anywhere. So the fenders just mount here a couple bolts and we got them in the same position on both sides, which was actually not as hard as it diet.
Oh, do a little safety test, see what we think of our go power: sport harnesses and things yeah. I like this, it's pretty easy too. It's simple: it's not like a cam design, mock or anything like that. It's like, if we have friends, I want to drive it.
They don't really know harnesses work, good, wheeze, yeah, sweet. We just tighten it down. That'll hold you in pretty good, so what are we doing this one? We basically did all the seat mounts which took a pretty long time, but we figured it out. Well, we really love these go power.
Sport seats. We also cut the roof which, like aesthetically other than like the shocks and new wheels and tires, did the most. For this thing it looks really good and then, after that, we just mount our harnesses. So just one step closer.
This build is to have kind of quite a few parts, but I think it's really interesting, though I mean big buggy, builds, are kind of there's a lot to go into it. So I think in the next video we're going to be kind of installing all the elements to get the ninja run engine running. So that's going to be awesome to finally hear this motor running in this frame. So thank you guys for watching.
Thank you. Go power! Sports we'll see you next time.
What would have made it look a lot more aggressive is if you guys left it attached and cut the top part, then it’d be longer and flatter, then you could have put some sheet metal and it would have looked a lot more aggressive
(These guys minding their own business having badass content)

Cool looking build guys, enjoying the build so far. One thing though is your shoulder strap mount isn't supposed to go down, only straight back. Just looking out for you guys, keep up the good work!
Looks good but dont forget to give credit to the guy u got the ideas from , royal racing tech ,royal racing tech, ,he built a 250exr,,and a 500r
You missed on the rear fenders. Lay a straight edge on the crown of the rear tire to the back edge of the fender and that is the direction the water and mud will fly off, right over the fender on to the passengers.
That optrel grinding helmet looks awesome been looking for a while where i can get one here in the netherlands
This kart is looking legit boys!!! On a side note.. Huge shout out to your fantastic parents letting you guys hijack their garage to build this super cool stuff!!
You guys should add a wind shield, roof and doors!! Try to enclose it a bit sorta like a SxS!!
That's a tough looking buggy, can't wait to see the finished product.
This thing is looking dope! But i think your gunna be bending axles and jack shafts but send itttt!!!
Glad y'all finally joined DIY Go Karts! Can't wait to see this thing driving!
Cant wait to see it finished and the suspension working over rocks and stuff.

I am new to your guys channel so far I like the builds and that c10 of yours is there any plans for the c10
Love the build! Except for those fenders. Those are the same kind of fenders that come on crappy store bought go carts and I think they make your buggy look too tame. Just my two cents
Very cool, nice work guys!! Can't wait to see it rip!!!
I would love to build The Deuce myself, I'm a licensed welder by trade, and I'd love to test, my fabrication skills building one of my own.
I think that front fenders with mud flaps would help the most sirs
You should probably add some door bars, plus I think it would look better too.
You guys are doing an awesome job 👏🤘🏻😎 it’s going to rip can’t wait for the first jump 🚗💨💨💨
The deuce is looking nice with those seats! It reminds me a lot of internet explorer but a beefier version and cant wait to see this thing off roading!
Will you guys ever 'beef ' up the patty wagon?
