Does anyone know where to get the tool for priming the oil pump?

How long did it take you to rebuild the motor after you got it out of the bike

You guys learned the hard way but hopefully someone else benefitted from it. Sucks that primary puller is like $15 but whatever spilled milk

Doesn’t look much different from a engine from a car. I think I can tackle this myself.

This video shows how to do lots of things wrong. Guaranteed to have lots of problems later. You'd have saved yourself a lot of headache by just taking off the clutch to start with (you can easily make a DIY clutch puller with a 3/4" rod, a couple nuts, and a grinder) and you tried separating the crankcase before taking the other shit off which probably warped the engine block from all the prying you did. When you put it back together, you didn't bother talking about the types of gaskets, which ones need gasket sealer, which ones should be dry, and which ones are a liquid. You didn't talk about priming the oil pump (so you probably didn't do it which means that it won't be long before the engine seizes) and you didn't talk about torquing the bolts for each component or the sequence for doing that. This video is dangerous because it could cause people to screw up in a very expensive way.

Hi, do you know if a 1999 Polaris Magnum 500 engine can replace a bad engine in a 1997 Polaris Sportsman 500? thanks for your time

So the timing? Do you just line up the dots? They don’t have to be 90 degrees with anything?
