Hi, Yes, it's test equipment giveaway time. Again, it's that time of the year Again, where Keysight are giving away 300 grand worth of test gear, including some new shiny models that we've got here and we might see in some upcoming videos. In previous years, it's been called the Keysight Wave, but this year it's called Keysight University Live. And it starts right? Well, basically right now.

Uh, March 15th runs through to March 19th and if you enter, you can win like 300 grand worth of Tesco, some really high-end top shelf stuff as well. whereas these new babies are part of their new entry level range, which as I said, take a look at. But anyway, so Keysight University Live. Not only are they giving away test gear, they're going to have all sorts of videos on their Keysight Labs website.

Almost up to they're almost going to get their silver play button. I think they're like 91 000 subs. And it's one of the corporate, uh, Youtube channels That actually doesn't suck. Mind blowing, I know.

Um, Anyway, check it out. Daniel, there he is over there Keysight Labs. They make actually some pretty darn good videos on a corporate channel. It's unbelievable.

Anyway, they'll be holding a bunch of live events with various industry experts, including uh, Joel Dunsmore who we just had on the Amp hour. actually. uh, Chris Scammer interviewed him. so I'll leave that link in down below if you want to check that out.

He's a microwave expert, talks away about microwave product design and all that sort of jazz. Terrific. Anyway, sign up not only to win test gear, but a whole bunch of other stuff. And yes, unfortunately there are rules like there's quite a few countries that once again due to ridiculous government, bloody red, bureaucratic red tape and all sorts of crap.

um, you can't enter if you're in various countries. But but the magical dumpster has delivered yet again. so unbelievable what you find in the dumpster. So I managed to find five scopes plus one each of these new instruments here.

This new scope is not new, that's the original, uh, eda, uh, the educational, uh version. So I found five Dsox 1204 Gs that's one with the built-in function generator and they seem to be working just fine what are the odds of that and also found one of these new babies as well just sitting around. So uh, they should be available to pretty much anyone in any country in the world, because well, secondhand gear you can just ship anywhere. So for the five scopes, I will be giving one away in the Youtube comments down below.

all you've got to do is leave the words i'm in there and you go into the draw. But there are terms and conditions only if I can actually contact you because in previous years I've done comment draws down below and you've simply been uncontactable. So if you don't have contact details in your about page or something like that on your Youtube you know account thingamabob, then I'd Yeah, I'm just going to redraw the thing. Okay, so you need to be contacted.
We can't just put i'm in and you, you know, use a one, two, three, four, five, X or something like that and I've just got no way of contacting you. It's just no. So you gotta be contactable. Leave a comment down below and you can win one of the 1204 g bad boys.

So one for the Youtube comments. I'll have one for a forum thread. Usual rules apply: You have to be an existing Eev blog forum. Remember, you can't just go and join it.

Now, don't bother. I'm going to catch you out. Okay, and you've got to have a like a reasonable post history on there. Uh, something like that.

So once again, there'll be a thread. So post in that thread once and once only. and I'll use the Eev blog. Wobbly.

These are. Yeah, they should have made these stackable. Um, like yeah, they're not quite stacked. They do sit here, but they look nice for like product, wanky product shots and stuff.

But yeah, you don't really want to use them like this anyway. Pro Tip: and I'll have one to give away in the comments on my Odyssey channel as well. So I'll link my Odyssey channel or the particular Odyssey video down below for this one. Once again, leave the comment I'm in in the comments and once again, you have to be contactable somehow.

although I'm not quite sure how that works on Odyssey, I haven't really checked it out, but anyway, we'll figure it out somehow, my Odyssey channel down below, and there'll be one for my, uh, patron and subscribe star supporters as well. You'll get details of that because you're a patron and a subscribe star supporter, so if you're not, you want to hear about it. And then lastly, one more scope plus one of these instruments. Um, what? The one person doesn't get all four? I'll choose one of each and I'll put a special Eev blog forum thread down below.

It'll only happen on the forum, but it will be my pick. Dave's pick. No questions, no correspondence will be entered into, and um, put, I don't know, Upload a video or something like that. Like, well, don't upload the forum upload to Youtube and then post it or whatever.

Upload it to Odyssey and then post it and I don't know. Are you a student? A kid? A hobbyist? hacker? space? Something like that? Are you like? There's maker space? Whatever. Are you a school? Uh, a club? Whatever. Basically, give me a reason to, um, pick you for what are you gonna use it for? I don't know.

Be creative so I'll be giving four instruments away There just in that thread for day's pick. Now the new instruments. Um, this one's not you. It's the existing, uh, educational oscilloscope.

You've seen that but released today? Check it out In the new Oscilloscope form Factor: this is a 20 meg function Gen It's This is all part of their new educational Uh series. They'll sell like the whole kit I'll try. I won't mention prices now, but basically the whole kit's less than 2k and you probably get educational discounts and all sorts of stuff. It's aimed at the educational uh market, and it's like a complete set.
You've got an oscilloscope, You've got a function Gen. You've got a power supply, and you've got a multimeter. The power supply down here this bad boy, um, is not actually in the oscilloscope form factor. It looks the same on the front, but it's actually twice as deep on the back here.

and I'm getting a nice little breeze from the large ass fan on the back of this thing. so that's a nice little power. Sky Got a big carry strap on the back. Anyway, New Function Gen New power supply and a multimeter.

A new five and a half digit multimeter in an oscilloscope form factor. You're gonna love that or you're gonna hate it. Leave your comments down below. Then again, we're going to flood the No.

Now it's going to be mixed up with people going. Oh, I love that. I hate it. I you know, one, I'm in.

I clearly didn't think this one through, did I? Anyway, leave your thoughts down below about as you can talk about it over on the forum thread. There's a better forum thread for this video. This is where you discuss these, not where you and not discuss it in the comments because that'll get mixed up with the I'm in, I'm in, I'm In people. Uh, begin for the scope anyway.

um, five and a half digit multimeter in a oscilloscope form factor. Very interesting. So yeah, this is part of their new Um. educational series, so I'm sure I think they're releasing them today, so I'm sure it'll be over on the Keysight Live website.

and they've probably got launch videos or something like that. Anyway, let me know. I'm almost certainly going to be doing tear downs and maybe reviews of this, uh, these new three instruments here. So let me know which one you want me to tear down first, Which one you're most interested to see inside.

You're probably going to say dave, tear them all down Yeah, all right. Anyway, that's it. Thank you very much Keysight. Check out the Keysight University Live website.

down below: 300 grand worth of giveaways win a winner chicken dinner and many of my viewers, um, in previous years have won something in that huge giveaway monster giveaway. And thank you for the dumpster for delivering, um, yet more gear to give away. So anyway, um, yeah, if that's all confusing, I don't know. I'll leave it in the description and comments down below.

Catch you next time.

These 4 pieces are part of their EDU series entry level equipment so they kind of go together but it looks like they could have done a little better job on the stacking so the feet of the top unit go into the bottom unit so it sits more stable?

Thank you Dave for this opportunity.
In the last year I made a working pid motor controller with a quadrature encoder but without an oscilloscope because I cannot afford such equipment, I had to design all the electronics basing the project only on the theory study I did, but it was a success.
If I win such marvellous equipments all the universe will open in front of me but i would like to continue in the developing of electric motor controllers and robotics.
So much I could do but never luck in life. Thank you for your videos they make me dream
