Hi welcome to everyone's favorite segment, My ol' Bag! Let's get right into it. How do my Spanish viewers in Madrid in particular and this one's I Alvaro cell Selma Selma Something like that? Let's crack it open and see what we got in here. We have a plug pack. Do we want to do a tear down the plug pack? The problem is I know this one you can open well.
I Was gonna say the problem with plug packs so you usually can't open them. Usually they're ultrasonically welded shut or glued shut and you've got to get the Dremel out or you've got to like crack them. You can. You can actually, in some cases like you know, tap them with a hammer or whatever, a screwdriver and crack them open that way.
but it's got all this funny. Yankee Plugs On it. What's this about? Congrats on building such a great channel? Thank you very much. It's a thank you to all my viewers who have built the channel.
really. Um, yeah. I make the content but nobody watches. It's not really a channel is it? If somebody makes videos on YouTube and nobody watches, are they really there? I Send you a garbage Psu that's touted as a switch mode power supply but actually resets brownout my atomic pie board as soon as it draws 1.5 amps.
Oh yeah, it took submission. What's the IR thermometer? Some components go up to 140 degrees C Wow The closed case can go up to 95 c. Too hot. Oh that's yeah.
that's insane. Like you'll burn yourself. Let's do a quick 2 minute teardown of a dodgy power supply. I'll also link in at the end if I remember it, a teardown of like an Apple fake Apple power supply or reverse engineer a fake Apple power supply and that's that's.
a really interesting video. It shows you know how cheap they can make those supplies and kind of sort of get away with it. Mary King Enterprises sounds legit. ad 18 a Fib for those playing along at home.
13.5 Watts maximum Yeah I'm set to hey, they tell you 5.15 Very common to set 5 watt supplies to a greater than that Eva 5.25 or 5.15 or something over 5 volts just to compensate for the drop in The no doubt Dickie leads in this thing. As I said, quite uncommon to find screws in this thing so it's only got two, So presumably yep, that's gonna lift up. Here we go. Oh, we're in like Flynn Ah, doesn't that look crusty? look? Oh it's gonna say is that uh yeah, they've got a cutout in there I Can say is that like squished on top of that Wow Dude, somebody's got in there with a file and have they? Yep, that's hilarious.
So good. Our mains input here. There's our bridge rectifier. Ah hello.
certainly three. Where's the fourth one? Um Beulah Beulah Anyway, Elite brand main DC filter cap so dab it. No, no. I thought that was a bit puffy there.
maybe not. Rqc passed by if you don't want to see that. Which tests are you? oh? I'm F, that's terrific. Is there any any little bulge in that? Maybe maybe a slight bulge in that? I Reckon she's on the way out.
so I'm very surprised they bothered with the silastic down there. I'm just why put it right there? I'm not sure I'm there, but they got around the cap just to stop it flapping around in the breeze. and well, it's actually fused as the brown wire coming over. that's actually a heat shrink. em 205 I'm sorry. yeah and em - oh, is that no 3ag fuse Wow Well, I'll tell you what. I've seen worse than this. So yeah, it's like the typical of what you'd expect in a cheap one hung low brand plug pack.
They've got decent separation between the primary and the secondary there. No slot cutouts, but you know that's okay. there's there'd be a optocoupler down the bottom there. Yep, there she is.
That'd be a 102. Whatever they could get at the Shenzhen market that week. And those caps I Don't know the brand because it's on the other side. but bulgy, There you go, there's one of your problems.
So yeah, they just got too hot under the collar. literally under that heatsink. There a little bit of folded metalwork. just I Sold it down so you know it's only flapping around in the breeze a little bit.
didn't buy the solar and down the other side? No, no worries, what would your vibration resonant mode? Beyond that. See, you know if I was designing something like this for a professional application. If you had to have it for whatever reason flapping around in the breeze like that, you would put a little accelerometer on there. and then you'd you know, sweep this over the entire vibrational frequency range based on what type of transport you've got.
You know whether it's going by plane, railroad, or air or whatever. and because there are different standards for different types of transports. By the way, in case you didn't know, I don't remember these standards off the top of my head anymore, but yeah, any. oh no, yeah, it had.
it has a little tab down in there, but it's not soldered down so it's only in the one location. and then you put a little low mass accelerometer on there and shake this thing and in multiple axes and you try and find the vibrational mode of that to see if it's going to be an issue. And given that we're already off on that tangent, if you want to know what one of those eight accelerometers look like, I still got a a couple PCB Piezo Tronics is one of the big players in the market and this is one of the little low mass accelerometers. These are an ICP type so you've got to have a basically a constant current supply for the thing.
I might Maybe thumbs up if you want me to do a video looking at these little accelerometers. Anyway, there's a little accelerometer weighs bugger-all and you can actually often you'll just I'm actually super glue these down to the surface like that and you can either get smaller ones from these because you don't want the mass of this plus your cable to upset the resonant mode. you know stuff like that. Anyway, the cables on these are very cool as well. Little tiny low mass, low triboelectric effect too, by the way. And these of course can come with like our calibration sheets I don't does this one have it? I Yeah, but it's got some calibrate law. completely faded calibration data. Anyway, you can get these with calibration sheets which give you the exact value and the response as well over the give a given frequency range.
So anyway, give me a thumbs up if you want me to do a separate video I list making a little power supply cuz I don't think I have a power supply for it anyway. little constant current thing with just like an AC tap off to get the signal out. and maybe we can go old school and use my older HP Dynamic Signal Analyzer and get some responses of that and like coherence responses because you're often like you'll put this on here as well and you'll put another one on your platform and then you can actually get a what's called a coherence plot which shows basically how much of the vibration in here is due to the original vibrational signal and you know there's all sorts of cool stuff you can do. So anyway, from memory, what's a decent coherence value? like you know, point 0.95 if you're doing pretty well I think so.
Yeah, we could how this up and put a load on it and stuff like that, but you know, these output caps are clearly starting to go. so the Es are the equivalent series resistance or internal resistance rises so you get heating up and those which accelerates the effect of drawing out the electrolyte in there and everything warms up and it's yeah, dense I Don't know whether or not that is I like plot, the efficiency and all sorts of stuff. item I Don't know. it's just par for the course in this cheap-ass power supplies actually.
Well, I'm surprised is it there's a decent amount of copper in that? I Think that they didn't skimp. Okay, I'll pair it up here. We go: Five point Two three. Okay, let's put one point five amps on up.
Five point three jumped up to five point three volts. Oh, that's not very good. Let me get the thermal camera. Okay, that's just on idle there and the emissivity is going to.
it. could suck a bit with the aluminium thing, but anyway, right down you know we're talking. 45 46 Just sitting there And if we put on our 1.5 amps that says she, it's getting hotter. So it's the main primary side switcher there that's getting hot.
120 on the on the secondary side there. sorry if you can't sorry about any glare. but yeah, that primary side that's 174 174 degrees that got up to it's cooling down now. I've turned off that No I can smell it.
No I know Whoop Whoo! Wish this is Smellivision. Anyway, thank you Alvaro for sending that in. It's yeah, not terrific, but you know these plug packs. they're just built down to a price and often the thermal.
Our performance isn't great, not quality components in there. Overtime they die and they're just they're got one from straw. Yeah, thank you very much. I cavers I Kangaroo Valley hearing night New South Wales so let's crack it open Anyway, this straight through the tablet front there. hi Dave I Saw this going in the dumpster at work and thought it might make a good two-minute turn out excellent. So this was gone. Let's see what was going into the dumpster in its original box by the looks of it. I Guess nobody wanted it anymore.
Um Mobile Rector serial Ata Hunter Yeah, I got one of those. There's not much in them. there's just like a four serial Ata Yeah, Okay, no. I had one for an IDE one or something like that.
It's not much in um two minutes here now, so I'm sure a lot of people are familiar with these. These are right, it's just a serial ATA interface. It's got a cage like this. your hard drive just screws in there like that and there's your ATA interface down there and I've got a bit of insulating tape on the back there and not much else.
Just goes over to custom non-standard pin out here on a nice you know the old kind lights Sentronics type parallel interface. nice big, reliable, you know, board to board in a connect thing that just goes straight in there. There's a little little piddly pissant fan in that thing. oh jeez, so to be horrid wouldn't it that it were a bit and yet signaling? Hagrid II be damned.
Of course they don't care. no that control impedance rubbish. just go straight over. Yeah, because it's not an Ide to solder interface.
so this is just purely a connector interface with. you know they don't care about your controlled impede cuz these are quite high bandwidth. the serial solder connections and no they and I think they care there. That's just a that looks like double-sided board to me.
No ground plane in there so none of that strip line controlled impedance rubbish so it just goes straight over. looks pretty how you doing. Someone really wanted their hot snot in there. this one I'm not sure you, it's from electronic samples from Landmark Global in UK Alright so some companies obviously sent me something pretty.
How you doing packaging, trusting like there's much heading in this thing? um it's It's really dodgy. Yes. Wow Oh look at this car stereo I'd say two minutes here. What brand is that? CD changer competitors that like a 100 audio it forward Audio systems Okay, it's a genuine Ford Stearic Car Stereo Termina teardown.
it's a Visteon Ford Audio System. Six thousand any fellows playing along at home probably suited for to me to tear down. Some viewers in Europe may recognize this unit as type were very common in early Ford Cars manufacturing 97 to 2006. Unfortunately, a system is broken.
no worries. I'm the unlike. If we can get it going, the unlock key is in there and apparently I've had access to the can bus. Um, usually. I Usually they don't have access to the can bus do they? That's interesting. Wow. I haven't taken apart a car CD player for ages? What was that like? Well I'm talking like promised. Several decades back when there were a thing, what was that movie that had one of the characters always carrying around I think it was easy was it he's Kenwood stereo system.
Art was hilarious so I'm gonna have to try it, think of it and put it in. it was great. Anyway, the 6000 CD IDs on IDs Aeon IDs So I was thinking MOSFET like to me that's RDS on Alright anyway City Change a compatible There you gotta have the external CD player ta PTY like proprietary limited yeah Wow well that's a bit how you doing and monster buttons Wow it's yeah huge. Anyway yeah they all have these are security key codes because well back in the day um you know people used to steal car stereos other than break into your car just to steal your car.
stereo was the thing. So you have these removable ones with the pullout handle and you'd carry it with you. It would. trust me that was the thing in the 80s I Do want to get a throat rip in here? think that's gonna be you small fry who's first? So anyway all these customer connected jobbies all go into your wiring harness and led this suddenly semi compatible wiring harnesses and things like that so you can buy like generic car CD Like you know just see these systems these days and they come with like a different harnesses depending on the car you've got.
Alright let's go in here if we can get this top cover off. hang on. gonna give them a bit of a whack. CD Mechanism oh jeez I can't see my child saw the rest.
All the good stuff is on the bottom and of course one thing you're gonna find in a car. he's a good compliant mechanism. So oh yeah, oh yeah baby, look at that. That's fantastic.
Oh it's nice and stiff. You've got to love us Good stiffy mechanism. I Can play with that all day and four screws and that comes out easy peasy. Lemon squeezy is the bottom of it for those playing along at home for UCD mechanism aficionados: Well, there you go.
Is it like it's a pioneer? Uses Pioneer chipset. So I presume it's a it's a complete Pioneer design player, but it's got made by Visteon in Portugal Portuguese Viewers Wow Um, okay, who on earth is Visteon Anyone knows the history of that? Let us know. Front panel has popped off with a couple of times. Oh, look at this phenolic base.
Single sided. Now that double sided Fr4 rubbish spared no expense. That's actually quite interesting that they use a combination of a ribbon connector interface and then there's very nice pressure contact. That's interesting.
Anyway, that's very cool and there you go that's inside. the thing that down there that's an ST job' Not sure what. Like, you know, single-chip custom-designed solution for this there. I Really like the the right angle board like that. looks like that's just soldered in and pins directly sold it in there. so that's a nice interface. and of course the single inline or staggered pin single inline audio packages which you find in every single car audio system. They're just yeah, they're of course they're Phillips Phillips like on the market.
And of course they use the Diecast Diecast metal show Z down there for the heatsink. That's about all she wrote there. Any thermal compound in there, or they just put in a like a little SIL pati thing and then there's really not much else going on down here as a receiver down here. I'm not sure that's is that some sort of audio interface that's no that goes to your CD mechanism I think that's another st job down there.
In fact this is all St. St as far as the eye can see. Wow, they got design winds everywhere except for the audio stuff which of course Philips being women for decades st do during that market these days. I don't know if they were back then I needs to know what is behind that.
Yeah, they've just got a just got a pad. Yeah, there we go. There's the middle back in they've just got a some sort of sill paddy kind of the that's that's a bit crusty. it's a very fibrous kind of yellow sill pad is a trademark.
It's just that that's become like a generic thing like Xerox I Don't think that's a switching converter cuz that's only a 16 volt cap there. What brand do they got on that can't see it? anyway? Yeah, I think that's just an input choke and filtering. There's another money shot look at. that boy goes up and down all around.
Oh Bobby Dazzler I don't view was in Kentucky that's in the United States of America John Monaco Thank you very much. What's in here? Well I kind of know. guess the description kind of gives it away I won't tell you okay oh boy, my oh bag is like it's all uh, it's all secretive thoughtfully provided. which means tonight on top.
Maybe I'll read it first maybe I won't Depends its lucky dip I Really enjoy your videos. Thank you Oh oh it's it's John's attempt. thank you very much John it's John's attempt at something. but I have here behind? No do I? Yes, it might be in the shot somewhere.
Anyway, it's Joe one pack. Its John's attempt at doing this like a kid in a candy store. What is it? What is it? This is actually quite a brilliant replica. Look at this.
it's the time circuits. Fantastic. Oh that's beautiful. I Love Wow Yes, you know it's got the staggered configuration Correct.
Looks like it's got all the colors correct. It's actually got the proper stick on like DiMeo type labels. these aren't actually DiMeo ones but they are like they're not souk screened on their that they're actually stuck on. Oh that's great.
That's better than the one I've got here which is okay and I had to like I have a custom frame for and everything and this one failed I had to replace one of the chips I might link in that video at the end I'll start troubleshooting this. it's powered from an Arduino. It's all kind of like messy whereas this. this is brilliant. self-contained 5 volt 2 amp input DC barrel jack. so I can just like leave that running on the on the bench here. Bobby does. Wow.
Wow, This really looks fantastic. Apparently the case is 3d printed. that is like endwise, so this would be this front end would have been flat on the bench where you can see the stickers on there. That's just brilliant.
It's staggered. so yeah. 3d printed. Well, not exactly like the original time circuits.
It's built to scale and paint it. It certainly is. I would not know that is 3d printed. That's just fantastic.
But if you look close enough you can actually see the layers in there. Wow, that's terrific. So here we go. Time circuits on: AA Flux capacitor fluxing engine running and I Do believe it's got the original dates on there.
Well done any weight, Use an 80 mega three to eight and a Ds3231 RTC battery backup. Our displays are driven by a whole tech lead driver. excellent design. The board's in Kicad had a made by Jlc.
took about display board took about 12 hours to layout you to its complexity well and their first time using Kicad. Excellent! Well let's go in and take a look. It's written using the Arduino Ide excellent and I'm sure you can update servants like open Sore and get all the stuff. This is awesome thank you very much John And on the back we can just start set the time up and down as well, but there's no like USB interface to like diddle with it and then if you just press set, it just cycles through or up and then you can save it.
just cycles through what looks like. We could adjust the brightness as well and brightness. So if I set that level. Oh yeah.
nice. Wow, This is pretty great. Yeah, look at that. You can see all the layering in there.
That's brilliant. And I won't take the thing fully apart because it's a little bit a little bit complicated to keep it all together. Look at all those screws, but you've got three separate front panel PCBs down there. obviously then just your little Arduino board down there.
I've you know 80 Mega Time Circuits Control Version 2.0 Excellent. That is brilliant. thank you very much. John That is a superb, absolutely superb implementation.
I Love the texture on it too. It's got that metal, ah, textured finish and and he really would think that you know, pretty darn close. it's not far off the original I'd happily if I actually had a real deal or in which if I had millions and millions of bucks yes, I would actually buy myself a genuine at Time machine DeLorean and I you know I'd have no problems having that in there. Well done.
Hats off, that's got straight to the poolroom. Now this one comes from Econ Systems in India it didn't have mail bag on it. Put mail bag P.o box seven, nine for nine pocket Mills New South Wales Two One five three Australia not Austria and yep I did open it and it was obviously a mail bag. So let's take a look and it's a there it is a USB 3 camera system. One of these little important go to the developer software tools I've got the find all the document anyway. if they went it's tiny. There's a little USB 3 camera in here I'll show you so. Econ Systems is actually an in company and this is their new C Camp C3 Cam Cu 30 series.
This one's actually the Cu 38. No, it doesn't cost 10 bucks. Our volume pricing starts from about 70 bucks. They just put that on there because it's an engineering sample.
Nudge-nudge wink-wink let's take a look at it. Oh got a name Bonus lens. Oh no that is the lense that's just a cover. Okay so this is based on the on semi I our oath a double three oh sensor and we can have a look.
We'll be able to see that pop the little dust cover off there. see there's a little sensor down in there. Nothing too interesting to see. Anyway, this is supposed to be a low-light camera module USB 3 is 60 frames per second.
A full HD I Won't go into a huge amount of detail on there, but yeah, it's supposed to be art. Leo requires no drivers, just or directly supported via windows. and as we saw, it comes with a little lens and that looks very well. that looks reasonably wide angle doesn't it? And I believe this is like an M Is this an M12 mount and that'll just screw.
Should just screw in there. Jeez. Having a hard time getting that lined up. but there we go.
we're in and well I'll plug it in USB see that micro rubbish had to put it in all the way. and low light camera. Um so I Presume: it's like probably like designed for security or something like that cuz it with a whitish. I presume that's gonna be a whitish angle lens, so don't I mean I don't think I have details on the lens? Let's check it out.
that looks like an onboard microphone. It even says Mike In fact it's got two of them. So yeah, Stereo Mics does it. Presumably it.
it's gonna output stereo so that's very handy having a built-in mic. So yeah, you know you could build this into your own little custom enclosure. It wouldn't be hard to get a little plastic box and just do I Cut out in that just a minute job and you're done and Usb-c unify so we can 3d print. You know, our custom enclosure.
That'd be pretty trivial. So we're on the Econ Systems page here and I'm actually a bit confused about what Module I actually got because on the top here it says it's the cam 30. On the bottom it says it's the 1 3, 2 which I assume as part of the 130 series. Anyway, they have a whole bunch of different ones for all sorts of various industrial applications.
different form factors, lens configurations, all sorts of stuff. They've got a frame safe camera. What's a frame safe? Camera player died I Don't know. like I'm sure people will know right here now that frame safe cameras. They're cool. Anyway, you know there's stereo vision ones as well if you're into stereo vision. Cypress Dev Kits: They've got industrial cameras that looks nice that's got like an S mount lens adapter on it. Very nice and a look.
they got Nvidia cameras up here. Wow They've got tons of stuff Wow Just Econ systems Wow Apparently yeah, they're not just a reseller. they manufacture these, these design and manufacture these. So yeah, very cool.
Anyway, I'm rather a little bit confused. So I Thought: look, this one does actually come with the Cu 30 low light one. It says it's the Cu 38 on the paperwork, but I don't know. It doesn't look like the right board.
right? That does not look like that's not the correct board with the microphones and everything. So that's really kind of weird. That's not it. This one looks like it is though.
low light. USB Camera with them without enclosure that looks like the right. Yeah, that looks like the right one. actually.
this one's actually called the Conversa. It doesn't actually have a model number. it's Oh II Came through houses ECAM 36 Electronic rolling shutter and compress blood law I Think this is the one we've got, so it's all very confusing. Wow Anyway, it'll do full.
HD @ Yep, 60 frames per second. It'll do three Myth: 3.4 megapixels at 48 frames per second. Do 3 megapixels at 60 frames per second. Jeez, that's pretty good over your own.
It's a backwards compatible with USB 2 I Like that. Well, let's plug it in and see. So 2 Wondering what I'm shooting with here at the moment? This is my webcam. It's not actually a webcam.
it's my old one of my old B-roll cameras, the Canon Hf M 300. So that's what I'm shooting at y-you don't on my face. And it's nighttime here so there's very little. There's no light coming in.
the window itself haven't got a studio light turned on or anything. so let's just plug it in. Shall we see what pops up? This is gonna go blue. The loop leg comes up little windows just did that.
Not sure if you heard that. Okay, I'm gonna add a video device. it's it. Shows up I Won't show you this because it'll be like Inception kind of thing there.
Eddie Whoo device video. So I'm using that Xsplit. it just shows up as the SECAM 30 cu 38 so let me switch over to that. So I'm gonna add that and there it is.
Boom! we're in like Flynn So it's not auto focus in check. check, Check one two. Okay, I'm now using the C cam, a 30 stereo microphone. It's at the same distance as my desktop mic here, about thirty centimeters away talking directly into it.
I presume that's gonna have the stereo mics. Vu meter shows. it's a bit lower level than my rode mic though. so I might have to again that up in night editing software and if I just that lens Wow it's flickering. It's picking up the flicker from those LED lights none of my other cameras pick up. That's terrible Muriel Not impressed by that. So there we go. I can adjust the fire I Guess the fire.
It's got to get to a loosey-goosey where it's in focus gets to a loosey-goosey point on the thread so you'd have to maybe Loctite that in place otherwise it might vibrate out of focus. But apart from that, there you go. Yeah, I'd say that that's like 60 frames per second. That's really good.
Updating: Yes, that is a beanbag. My Electronics beanbag we know in our chicken dinner. Um yeah. okay.
low light I'm not into like it did flickers I maybe I can adjust the settings. Okay, that wasn't full HD By the way, I've chose that okay auto brightness white balance guy and there's show you this. Sorry, but Andy flicker is not an option in my settings I've got the usual. just the usual camera stuff showing up here.
It's terrible. Anyway, then these are by the way. these are just some new lights that I had installed. Like all like well, well, something just crashed.
Well okay, so that crashed I am not sure what happened there. Um Oh add video source again. Here it is Xsplit still running so it's not that it looks like it was, it was the device C Cam 30 Yep, there we go. it's back.
Don't know what happened there. sorry just checking to see if my Canon camcorder shows those lights flickering. No, it does not. None of my camera's pick up the light flicker.
Yeah anyway I didn't even know those lights flickered so that's interesting I know I just got them installed as part of like a government program they come around or a place your troffers with these LED panels they with the correct color temperature 5000 K but they flick up at that. That hasn't been a problem. That's not a problem on my other cameras on my studio cameras or you know, my old camcorder here. Yeah, not exactly blown away by the quality there.
That's 1280 by 720. You know it's supposed to have auto white balance and auto exposure and all that. Anyway, it is fixed focus. It's not an auto focus camera so you've got to twiddle the lens to get it right.
That's that's reasonably wide angle though. You can see it's can see the frame of the window there. that's the it's got some fish eye on that so it is pretty wide angle though. I think that's probably I'm gonna guess 1214 millimeters or something like that in 35 millimeter equivalent.
Anyway, it is wide-angle It is sort of fishy lens in the middle. If I take that around like that, you'll see the door frame straighten up there. There you go and bring it to the rotate around to the edge and it gets fishy fishy. I'd So but that's normal.
It's to be expected with a lens and it does it off the top as well. Of course because it's a symmetrical lens anyway, you'd expect that. That's just. you know, a typical on your wide-angle lens. Some are better, but you've got to pay like you know. huge top dollar for a massive lens that you know it can go down to like twelve or fourteen millimeters without much. sort of like fisheye effect. It's really actually quite difficult.
so you see, you get sort of that, you know. wide-angle GoPro E-type look 23:04 by 1536. Supposed to do 48 frames per second? Oh yeah, there you go. It's really good now.
And the lights aren't flickering. lights not flickering anymore. Okay, so that's better. Yeah, that's better.
Of course it's going to be dark on this side because like the window is there and there's no Sun from the outside. So actually that's doing. that's it's pretty reason about those. Long's it doesn't lock up again.
Maybe I oddball resolution or something I was using before caused it to lock up. There's a calculator test on the bench top that's pretty good. Of course it's all you know. it's all fish-eyed but you can get different lenses so that's that's really quite sharp.
You get the lens as I said lens is a bit loosey-goosey in that particular spot. Geez, that's pretty. Just it's getting a little bit warm by the way. Yeah, I'm liking that at the high resolution.
So what did I say I mean I'm only recording this Adar Full HD So sorry you're not gonna see the the full quality of it here, but that is 23:04 by 1296 resolution. so that's like an oddball type one at 60 frames per second. Pretty jazzy aisle where where we're getting the flicker again getting the flicker over here that you turned up to lights I yet know it's it's comeback. Flickers come back Why? Wow I Can focus really close? still getting sharp.
As I said, the light is not very good in here. Light is really poor. I Can get my studio lights out though. Here we go if we get a couple of studio lights in here.
Yeah, it's quite nice. A little bit of jerkiness there. so I'm not sure what the deal is. yeah to get that resolution.
Actually, you'd expect better update rating: Low Light There's full HD 1920 by 1080 60 frames per second near here. Look at that can I get it to focus Wow look at that. I'm right down onto that. Like five millimeters away or something.
That's that's nuts. Hey guy. Brilliant. Got to change the focus when I'm further away.
That's alright. So there you go. If you're into little camera modules, Econ systems might be worth a look, so you got a massive range of stuff. Anyway, check it out!.
Usually you can set the grid frequency in cameras. Maybe it helps.
I've used e-Con cameras for low-quantity computer vision applications and I actually like them quite a bit. The model Dave was sent was a low-light version, meaning high sensitivity and large physical pixel size. Despite his "poor lighting", the flickering is actually because the camera is having to use a very fast exposure time (shutter speed) in order to not overload the sensor. This is compounded by having a fast fisheye lens that brings in lots of light. It is designed for computer vision so they don't do a lot of onboard processing, leaving an unadulterated image for software to work with. Their support for OpenCV (I was using Linux) and tech support were very good!
Disclaimer: I don't work for e-Con, I just appreciate decent hardware
re: e-con Systems it's probably a good idea when establishing an online company to keep "con" out of the name
lol I'd hate to be whoever sent the first time circuit display. "This new one is so much better than this other piece of junk some idiot sent in!"
So is the Earth round or flat?
Super late for the game, I know, But most modern stereos have access to the CAN bus in the vehicle. An irritating side effect of this, is I changed the stereo in my GMC Acadia, and found that the turn signal relay click WAS FAKE! Drove my wife nuts, to not hear the turn signal, and I wasn't paying $200 for a CAN interface kit, so it's in my old subaru now ๐ Love the videos!
This ford headunit didn't have access to can bus. but newer square type 6000 did.
I hope that you and your family are safe as there are wildfire near to Sydney Australia.
The atomic pi got a interesting backstory. Check it out!
please put subtitles in Portuguese! Many Brazilians will assist your channel and this will help to have greater visibility in Brazil.
I've been looking for that exact Ford CD radio! What will you do with it?
Did you miss that the buttons come out… That is the antitheft mechanism, hence the front panel ribbon cable and the fancy connector..
Hi Dave, please do the accelerometer video (y). I am mechanical engineer and doing a lot of FEA, will be cool to measure (with your video) and simulate (I can create a similar heat sink geometry) to understand the capabilities of computer models.
Please flip your knife over and use the BACK of the tip to open thing. It is much safer abd works much better PLEASE
Could that camera module be adapted for use on a microscope? Even as a stand-alone, it looks like it could be used for fiddly soldering situations.
John's a star for sending in that time circuit box, btw – must've cost a bob or two to make. Done a quality job on it too.
If someone makes a video and posts it to youtube where it is NOT watched, the video will exist in a superstate of all possible conditions until an observer clicks on the link. Then the videos condition will collapse into a single state ether watchable or unwatchable. ๐
what is the suspension used for the CD mechanism ?
I got a 60 Euro Dual cordless phone from Panasonic and one power adapter failed and it costs 16 Euros (without postage). Those are like 50 cents from china ๐
I bought a few of the cages but in the SCSI versions. They were ok and served they purpose .
If you want anything tearing down and investigating in detail send it to DiodeGoneWild, Dave doesn't go into much detail these days.
