A big "thank you" goes out to GoPowerSports.com for letting us use their ranch for this video!
Daniel, founding member of Build Break Repeat and one of our closest friends was able to stop by the shop for a few days to catch up and work on some projects! We took some builds out to the GoPowerSports ranch and had a conversation while exploring the trails. Daniel told us what he's been up to in Arizona and how his life has changed in the past couple of years. We also talked about Build Break Repeat and what is in store for the future. You can check out what Daniel is up to and support him here:

Today we have a special video and a special guest. founding member of Build Record Pete Daniel Is back in town for a few days and stopped by the shop. Go Power Sports Was kind enough to let us go use the Ranch for the weekend to do some trail riding together. So we've gathered up some old and some new unreleased builds that we'll be preparing for the trip.

First up is the Honda FourTrax TRX 350 which needed an oil change and a new gas tank. We swapped out the rusty metal tank for a new plastic one and after washing 26 years of barn find dust off of it, it looks good as new and it's dead reliable. Change out the fuel filter here you can see there's just like some junk in there so there we are. This is a little overdue.

Oh that's done. We got our gas tank here brand new. fill her up! So now what we're doing is we have this gold arcade chain from Go Power Sports and it's pretty cool. It's like it comes in this box with the long links of chain and it's just long enough with this big old swing arm.

so pretty cool. We'll just get it all installed here so we're putting our chain tension around right now. We have the modified. a little bit different though because the we have modifications to our frame and stuff that are aftermarket so we just had to move it down here into another hole but it's going to looks perfect.

Oh yeah, thank you. Everything's bolted up, it's all tightened down and this thing you. know, it feels pretty dang nice. Let me try and balance a little bit.

So yeah, that's pretty sweet. like a pogo stick. Yeah, it's so small it's like really low. the ground I Feel like you just grip and turn as fast as small but the length increases.

Oh yeah. Awesome! Well it's good because if you can see your uh like center of gravity, you know sitting like this is definitely more. Between the Wheels instead of just on the back so you probably have more grip, be more balanced. Thank you thank you.

Oh that's not supposed to be like that worked out the Tractor Supply yeah I mean we did pay him 120? So yeah, all right, you almost ready? Yeah, you can get started. let's go. hey Jim let's go back this way. uh and then like once we get to the rocky area, we'll just turn around.

all right. But if you want to lead the way all right, you still hear me? Good? Yeah I Hear you all right? I Feel like I hear you better than before? Can you hear me? Okay yeah I hear you? It's fine. Do you want to go this way to the right? I don't want to go up there to lose service Oh gotcha So Jackson has Jason Yeah yeah we can just take some sides or else and stuff what up Jason a me and Dan are gonna Cruise I'm on Mp200 and anal Is On the Floor tracks TRX 350. all right now.

a long time viewers definitely recognize Daniel and uh, probably wondering what he's doing back after his announcement. um how long ago was it was like a couple of years by now. Yeah, one or two years ago his announcement that he was leaving the channel to go to Arizona and uh, well, we're just gonna kind of chat while we drive and explore the ranch here for the future. and uh, just everything's got going on.
So with that, we begin the podcast on Wheels hey I like it. So yeah, I was so I would move to Arizona at the beginning of 2021 to begin. uh, basically. um, this I I I suppose I just felt called by the Lord uh to serve in a more uh, particular way especially as a missionary.

Um, and then it kind of got to a point where it was I couldn't really ignore it any longer. So I kind of just had to like give it a shot and see what it was all about. Um, so I guess particularly, it's like a Catholic Christian I wanted um to be a priest? Really? that was kind of. The initial call I was I was trying to discern whether or not that was the workbook for my life and that started with just the initial step of running this religious community which we're called Franciscans which are kind of like I don't know those people kind of know, like the statues the same princess uh, the one with the animals and stuff.

yeah for sure. um but I don't know who was a he was just a holy dude like a long time ago and he kind of just his model was basically trying to live like the Apostles. so you lived in common you like you did a lot of preaching, you just traveled around. um, but your life is mostly just intentionally centered around living the gospel as closely as possible.

So essentially that's what I'm trying to do and you know, with the Lord's help on it. I I feel called to it and it's what when I'm pursuing at this moment? So you're at the Franciscans in Arizona what is it that you guys usually do over there? like on a maybe day-to-day basis? So right now we live our where I was for the last two years was on the Gila River Reservation which kind of people trying to so we're surveying to uh Native American population particularly um, and working with especially uh, kids and young adults and families for that matter. just anyone who uh, has a desire to encounter the Lord so we're serving and working there. There's a bunch of mission churches out there that, um, have been largely um on their staff for a long time, so we're just out there trying to kind of make those places able to run and able to, um, you know, just just make ends meet and continue to survive.

Um, so there's a huge need out there and we're happy that this is. so. You guys teach school right and do a lot of on the community service, right? Yeah, we do. We do plenty of teaching.

Um, we're mostly running the churches just because that's one of the greatest need is right now. Uh, um. but yeah, there's a, you know, there's a middle school and high school on the reservation. Uh, not a lot of fun at Um.

and it was really an Immersion. like I never I never wanted to. She's like seventh Day eighth grade boys you know, like I was like the only imagine like it's not really. it wasn't on my dream job.
But yeah, you know what you do to your seven eighth grade teachers. No. I'll tell you what man. um, be careful what you do.

Yeah, no. but I love it. It's good. Oh what's been your favorite part to a bar? It's Jason My favorite part is probably the community and the Brotherhood.

So I I Believe With you know, our houses are our medium size I think I'm at one point the largest it got was there's six other guys that are in our house. Um, but you're essentially just kind of living in discipleship like with these other guys who are just like trying to do the same thing here today. All right, you know, like a human and generally confused way with hopes with good intentions and trying to follow the lord. and that's what we're able to see people.

Um, you know we're out here trying our best. and it's nice to have people that you're just gonna kind of to live by. you know. And it's very supportive and structure.

And there's the prayer and it's all these things. Yeah, that's excellent and you've had to give up a lot to even fulfilled his calling, right? Yeah, so yeah, it's kind of interesting. like uh, it's kind of. It's a double-sidic coin because you're like uh I Guess the point of Christianity is that God has kind of the Fulfillment hold on wow guys, to fulfillment of all desire.

You know it's like written on our hearts that we live on. um like obviously the Lord calls many people to marriage like primarily. but but for me like that is a religious I actually will be making all right. Maybe I'm a temporary about Chastity this last year.

All right a couple months ago. Man, um but yeah, I take battles of poverty, testing obedience and the point of that is to kind of free my heart for the Lord And so yeah, just continuing on like to tie that up. Yeah you give up a lot but it does like for you in a sense that this goes your heart to receive praise for eign you kind of sometimes get tired of, uh, trying to accumulate so many material things and don't get me wrong, it's like like hey, I love I love ATVs and mini bikes as much as the next guy. although here I am riding one you know, like thanks be to God you know it's like 100 fold already in this life, you know? great.

I'm happy to get the opportunities but the fact is I don't own this thing and I'm gonna go back to Detroit and like that's where I'm gonna go to school. that's where I'm moving next. But anyways I'm gonna go back there and I'm not doing this thing anymore. So in a sense my heart is kind of free.

Okay, it's not that you have to be getting everything up to be free, but I will say I think there's something to just letting it go. It makes it a little easier at least for me. Yeah, you don't got to worry about fixing them either. Yeah, that's right man.

I'm gonna break them, put down the three and DVR that's right. Is there anything you would miss too fast? Yeah, it's the most. That's a great question. Honestly, probably stuff like this.
you know, like yeah, yeah I don't I don't have two or three times is like you know, a lot of yeah it's give and take but yeah, you know, like just having a day like rips and stuff I mean come on yeah cool. hey it ain't too bad. yeah no. I do want to mention too is like uh it's kind of funny like I remember because I know I know Gregor right before God just like I'm out of it was I called him shortly after because I wanted after I kind of like I feel like real real serious about kind of leaving and trying this thing out and uh I talked to him he was like so you're gonna be a monk and I was like oh no oh but but honestly like I pretty much did it.

you know like yeah would be like a month is in a monastery. they generally would make a vowel stability meaning that they promise that they will stay in that Monastery and that's kind of like their own, like personal sacrifice and they they can more fully dedicate their life. Prairie um yeah, Franciscans are a little outside the box. that's how it would like.

Definitely like most people would just be like yeah, you're wearing a rough dude like you're definitely like your brand and stuff like uh, foreign. they got handles too. no I mean I got I got three brothers who are, uh, earliest are playing. they play college ball.

That's pretty cool. Yeah every once in a while they go out there. go off. it collects a little bit you know? Yeah? I like me and my family experiences, you know I don't know if you can still have student in the game Melissa Chicago you still got skin in the game? That's the way of the road.

um generally like as possible now. I couldn't sit on this ATV with it on? yeah yeah I mean I think we're gonna die like I wear that thing all the time. like I don't sleep in it but like like I'm wearing. it's hot though.

I'll tell you what in Arizona it's like 115. I think this last summer was like the most days like it was like the hottest year ever. Nose: Oh yeah, here we go. Yeah breed is going over and over the Healthy dog.

this is a Scoops bro I know you kind of does. It turns 40. you can just get big like utility rant Squad but it's it's pretty sporty. yeah you know, like it's definitely not like I Don't think it's super agile at all.

like it's more of a tank. Yeah it's not like a shirt but other shirts. yeah like it's a big old tires. pretty fast.

it would probably float. it probably does. I'm seeing crazy footage of people doing like things on before practice. We'll follow this game.

Trail right here. See where this goes here a few months of Wild Hogs or something? Yeah bro I got this rack on front. yeah but anyways I was gone I Was going for two years for my like initial formation which is honestly I I like lived under a rock. it's called the new Vicious I would drink like novice I don't know anything and I need to teach me all right that was good.
like I learned a lot especially gonna kind of like all things considered. kind of new to my face. happy to have it. but now I'm done with that initial formation like I said a little earlier I made I made my day love I just made my first Dallas which is like like hey in the pond car talking wow these are cool yeah singing a river crossing? yeah I just made my first house on a couple days ago on vacation.

now that's why I'm back here with y'all yeah I'll be back Yeah sweetie and after this you guys what's coming up next for you? Oh yeah so I got two weeks of vacation on her home visit and then I'm going off the Seminary is Seminary uh it's probably gonna be so a priest in the Catholic Church you need like a lot of school so I'm gonna get I'm gonna get a bachelor oh you know I was all God willing if I get a good grade trying to get a bachelor's and then you get essentially like a masters in theology but that's gonna take me probably like eight years. oh It Ain't Easy no it's a lot of houses I'm here for it man. Um, rewarding. All right yeah, let's go I should be able to come out here and hang around more often.

That would be fun I'd be back with some bills and cruel projects or whatnot. I know we were already like yeah I don't think you could do this one. Uh, let's turn around then. Yeah, there it is.

Yeah, let me uh. pop it in reverse No, it's funny I've been hanging out with these guys for a while now and uh, the idea is still runs in on um I know you know and this is interesting we could talk about. this is the future of Middlebury yeah because I know you have some exciting news in your life as well. that is true I mean personal life.

Uh, me and Jason are getting older I'm sorry it does happen. you do get older. nothing you can do about it and uh, hey, get more responsibilities full time. I'm looking for an architecture program in Arlington Texas and Jason's working for the one and only Toyota So we both found things that we're passionate about and they both kind of feed into Bbr because the design side of architecture and then the engineering side of I went for a car company measures pretty well with what we do every single day.

I believe I Mean there's like a dream scenario for us to be able to do this that makes it work kind of fun. Uh, on top of that, we're just Vernon Grove brand. You know the meaning of PBR and I mean it's kind of always been like we buy stuff and we have no clue and parts are available how we're gonna fix it. All of that stuff Man, we just figured along out along the way and they usually end up working out and even if it breaks, you know this kind of setback too if you get in the end.

if you persevere enough, it's always super fun when you get to rip that bill for the first time and it's better than you thought it'd be. Yeah, they're absolutely so. We're trying to come up with some products trying to step up a fabrication game, video game, new cameras, new tools, all that kind of stuff. just to really, you know, push our potential more because yeah, we've got a lot left in the tank to take some place to college.
and he originating some break when he was cool. you know, editor-in-chief over the videos and everything it says. But yeah, I just gotta keep going. It'll come back right now is we're on the comeback tour.

We're going to keep humping on the cool vids. Oh yeah it is. It's tough, especially because it's a lot easier to do things with three guys. Yeah, because uh I'm glad I'm glad y'all are doing so well and adjusting, especially now that you have another time.

Uh, we all kind of had it scared those characters set up so we could. You know, always cool us up and a few sector to go power sports for making it all happen. There you go, you know our friends in the you know Creator Community part of the cameras silly uh everyone we've met plus two knuckles manufacturations I mean the mini bike guys? both our guys. too many to name it.

they know who they are. yeah we talked to have a lot. you know everybody's really supportive so can't beat the go-kart mini bike craft family. Yeah no, it's pretty sweet man.

Well it's cool. it's at the end of the day like everyone's just trying to build Street stuff. yeah and that's it, you know, and like getting to that point where you can just kind of like appreciate a build for what it is, right? Yeah, regardless of who built it or like yeah I mean like like it's kind of just like it's like everyone's gonna root for each other. pretty stupid.

yeah? I mean even if it's not high for a cold case, you know if? I See, you know, you know and plus in my book so it seems like there's in the future, there's going to be emphasis on kind of just this random DVR It is maybe just like what would that include like the disasters trying to have really high profile bills. Is that time to like discover what PBR is like like yeah, a little bit of hope you know I mean we have something really unique. You know that we all had these shared visions and like PBR build You know it kind of has that BPR flavor all the time Alex yeah he's taking you to meet your flavor town. Yeah, okay and that was I think I I'll help you try to Define that.

but I think that would include some um let's go through this one. Oh yeah yeah yeah, they've already been up this hill I found a gap. but I think I think like the video on our brand is kind of like some mixed between. There's like an honesty you know, like like hey, we're just trying our best like and we're learning here right? Um, that could be interesting.

like because honestly, like you see like like just even me personally watching like the rotary ATV and stuff like that like like these are really high quality builds. We're trying to do our due diligence and research and you know in the past weekend what we've got. You know, yeah, but it's interesting like like yeah, yeah, you're trying your best and as you get better, it's more like it's mortified Carefree element you know and someone was like yeah I don't care if I write this thing like I don't understand a big old clearing or whatever you call it. Yeah, Oh, here's the road.
Can we go down this? Oh yeah, this is what we come down earlier. I Think yeah, that's kind of cool I think we went out that way last time I'm just hoping I Don't hit like a dog-sized rock. s yeah, like a bear trap. Foreign guys having fun.

You know that's all about that. Yeah guys, didn't do this man. what else can they do? Yeah, that is the cool thing. I Mean we're just some dudes.

We started out with a wooden Roll Part and broke every time we tried to drive it back in 2015. And look at us now. we're screwing around with motor rotary engines, trying to do crazy engine swaps. Fine for yourself on Facebook Marketplace So this is.

this is something you don't really see behind the scenes, but we are I think it's on Marketplace They got a lot of projects electric Marketplace yard. That's cool, but that's that's pretty sweet because there's definitely there's definitely some cool stuff coming down the pike, you know? Yes sir. Um, let's see Bills sponsor. All right, we're back.

Take a break all right. Appreciate you explaining the updates and everything. Yeah I Appreciate you really see more of you in the future. Thank you thank you Foreign.

Great to see Daniel again and what he has been doing. I have a lot of respect for you. I think its great that you are listening to your heart and doing what the lord has called you to do. Think of you often and ask about you from time to time. I believe God puts all of us here on earth for a purpose. Not everyone listens to him and what he is calling them to do. Good luck in seminary school. God Bless!
