Huge thanks for letting us use your land! Go check him out and show him some love for supporting the channel!
In this video we added a brake, throttle, and some other finishing touches to the Sachs KM48 JCPenney El Tigre Rotary Minibike so we can test it out for the first time! One of our viewers Daniel saw that we are local to him so he was kind enough to let us use his property to film a proper driving video! We took out the race bike as well and got into some automotive shenanigans. On a side note, we are all back in college now so we apologize if the upload schedule gets out of whack. Don't worry, we still have plenty of awesome content to show you! Thanks guys for watching and we'll see you next time.

Oh, what is up y'all welcome back to the ltg gray mini bike build, and today we are going to drive this thing, but before we can get to doing that, we need some brakes and throttle and kill switch stuff like that, basically just the essentials to be Able to move around and stuff so the first thing we're going to get started on is adding our brake. We have this brake band here from go power sports and the idea is we're just going to kind of. Have it go around the clutch, like so kind of just like how we did it on our cafe? Racer mini bike turned out super good, so let's just get started on that. It's going to be quite a bit of metal fab because we do have to use these bolt holes around here to kind of pull out the clutch and then have just a section here.
So let's get started this bracket's kind of just bolted in and then the idea is just the brakes going to go up here and this bolt's going to get welded on, but because it's a little bit ugly, i'm going to come in with a sharpie and we Can shave this down? That's the contour of our motor. That's really sweet! Okay, so we got our little brake band on and tighten it up. That is pretty sweet. So now what we got to do is you guys got ta run a cable through here.
That way, you can pull that on there get it hooked up to our handlebars and we will have brakes, that's pretty clean, we got our kill, switch and our throttle on the handlebars. Just go power, sports kill, switch and throttle, and then we just need to figure out how to hook up this carb so that the governor works and our throttle hooks up to it, see how it works. Yeah, nice and tight yeah pretty good, maybe tighten it a little bit more, but it's going to be good sweet. Our throttle is now set up.
We actually got it so that we have the governor working and it kind of needed just a little bit of massaging, and we got this all set up using the stock yeah sweet. That's some crazy, throw we got there yeah the twist grip moves like that. Much sick all right, so let's run her and test all the stuff. That's cool, ready! Yeah! Oh sweet! That's a rotary right! There, baby all right! So the rotary is completely ready.
We've tested it everything's bolted down and tight. So we have a viewer. That's letting us use his property, so the last thing we need to do before we go. There is mix up some two-stroke fuel we're running 50 to 1 on this bad boy, yep, that's what it says on the label, so we got it all loaded up in the truck we're here with the rotary and the race bike.
A fan of ours named daniel. Actually was kind enough to let us use his property to rip so yeah. I got a little space out here. I learned these guys were pretty close.
I saw some of their videos with the you know them driving around some places. I recognize so i reached out to them told them to come out here and and rip it. I got six acres, a giant shop and uh. You know i do all this sort of this fun stuff, mostly cars, but i've got a youtube channel too dj tuning is the the youtube channel. Don't have a lot of subscribers, but i haven't posted in a while either. That's probably why yeah, but no it's super cool, definitely excited to use some of this property and get you know a lot of good content here and sweet. Let's just get on these things and do some ripping yeah all right, cool, all right, so, okay, so on that last pull we did a bit of a rolling race and you can probably hear and see that thing hit the power band it looks like we might Need a bigger sprocket on this. Actually, it's really big right now, but it's just rotaries.
You know we could throw a bigger one on the jack shaft. That way we can have a little bit more step down to be knit yeah. That's true! Oh! So! Thank you. Yeah, this is sweet.
That was the coolest trip. I've ever taken all right, so we've had a lot of time riding this thing. This thing could definitely benefit from a regular. We just didn't know how torquey the little rotary would be the race bike's insane as always so, but it is a little bit out of its element, it's more of like a pavement kind of thing, more of a show bike, but it's real fast.
So we'll just have some more fun. I'm also excited to try it out. So let's see what you do so all right guys. So the rotary is finished.
It did super awesome, it really outperformed. What i was thinking would do i mean we need to do a little re-gear, maybe a little carb work but like it's super solid super fun, really exactly what i hoped it would be, and then, as always, the race bike totally rips and wants to kill us. So yeah joe yeah, so once again thank you to go power sports for the parts we use on this thing and a huge thank you to daniel for letting us rip around his property. We want to come around here for a while and it's great that we got to ride around and have some fun and looking for some more videos here in the future.
So thank you for watching make sure to check out his channel at dj tuning. We have some links in the video and make sure to subscribe and like this video and we'll catch you next time. Oh that's, big cool, my college in your yeah wow, so well, they're, just ripping all sorts of stuff out here. Yeah man, that's what it's about! Um.
What is that rotary engine out of? WHERE DID YOU FIND ONE?
🔵 I hope ahm seeing things, but it sure looks to me like you've got the Jack-shaft welded to the REAR-FENDER!…. PLEASE tell me it AIN'T-SO!…You wouldn't DO somethin' like that!…… WOULDjya?
Looks fun and genius invention 👍🏻 You should build a bigger version of that mini bike 😁
Man there’s 2 rotary snowmobiles for sale by me for kinda cheap would be a perfect engine to make something like this
Can you tell the diameter of your wheels? I would be really happy if you can tell.
I dare you to make that rotary engine see through. So you can see the engine in action
Brings back memories, as we had the same exact bike back in the 60's, but with a 6 hp, full house, West bend go kart engine. Not as fast as yours, went about 40, but fun. We took off the centrifugal clutch and went direct drive. Not for the faint of heart! We were just 8,9, 10 years old.
Gotta get a rotary!
That's too much power for the grass, you need to let it loose in the half mile.
Lower that gear ratio way down, so that motor can reach its power range! You hella good options being its using a Jack shaft. 😀
Now to put a little Rotary like that in a Dirt jumping style BMX with a 21" top tube!
the tillotson 212 which model is it the 212r or the 212e? Gopowersports only has the hemi head tillotson in stock currently which is a ducar rebaged basically apparently the e is the better "makes more power as the hemi is rated at about 7hp at 3500 governed according to what I have read. One you have absolutely ripps.
The clutch isn't always engaged, youll only have brakes at certain times. Sketchy for sure.
Gonna dirt ride after turbo build to show some more amazing footage
Fast. Idk who could tell. Open throttle wat maybe half second. Lol. Scared or inexperienced idk. Sure could be neat.
Was hoping to see a straight up rip. Like a half mile run. But have no idea if there is any torc
Torque converter and the right gearing that thing would be awesome Still pretty dang cool ✌️
Where did you get the motor? I got a free pit bike that's engine went on fire so I want to replace it. Everything else is brand new too!
You should gear it way own and give it a bigger carb, rotaries are really high reving and consume a stupid amount of air
Awsome. I had an old arctic cat snowmobile with a rotary motor .
Rotary guy here I watched the whole thing you need more than a slight regear I never heard it go past halfway up it's rev range not even into the real power band yet.
Nice build, the only thing I would have done differently is the brakes…..all thats doing as it is just slows the engine down. If your direct drive then fine. If not I would have put it on the rear wheel
My monster Moto 80cc couldn't push me across a golf green, let alone do that.
1 thing I don’t like about clutch breaks is if the chain pops off you have no breaks.
hahah it has no power! "Lets just throw a different sprocket it on there – thats just rotaries ya know" LMFAO!
Learned 2 ride a 2wheeler on open field, age 6. LMAO!! Looks Fun fun..
I hope that small fuel tank has a vent. Rotaries love their fuel, it's possible you could have fuel flow problems.
Awww man! This was my dream. I finally found an engine, but took it apart to find the cylinder was all pitted and not repairable 🙁
Take it down that dirt road and open it up. Let’s see what it does on top end
I'm telling yall get a expansion chamber on that exhaust and itll rip
Shoutout to Daniel for letting us use his land, check out his channel DJ Tuning! (link in description) On a side note we are all back in college now so apologies if the upload schedule changes a bit. Don't worry though, we have plenty of awesome content, new projects, and more rotary videos to show you!
