Hi just a quick video to show you something interesting I Just released my latest teardown video here I Just wanted to show you this is very unusual. unusually low views in the first hour after I've released a video I Don't think I've ever seen a number even remotely this low. So I think it ro released it about now 52 minutes ago. is it I thought it was a bit longer than that.

Anyway, um no, it's yeah. Anyway, um here it is. Yes, no hour ago there you go 60 minutes and basically I've barely hit a thousand views in the 60 minutes is very unusual. You can see the new YouTube RB de Studio thing gives you nice stats when you release videos and real time activity and stuff like that like enter like an average video as soon as I release it here, it'll jump up to get like eighty to a hundred views if I stuck it if I get like over a hundred views each minute I Know that's a reasonably popular video on people like clicking on that and one that may not be as popular because it's like a tutorial or something like that which aren't generally as popular over a wider audience.

It depends on the niche that depends on the subject. Of course it's highly variable, but generally you know I may get 50 views or something like that, but this one didn't even crack. Basically most of the part 20 views and it's not like you know, people love tear downs and they love vintage gear like this so it's quite unusual. I Expected this to jump up to probably like 80 views or something like that I thought I'd get a typical response and you can see the typical response I don't know how many videos it takes this typical response from I'm getting bigs that does change.

it's not fixed so as overtime at this sort of window you know it moves up and down based on it. might be based on your last 5 or 10 videos or something like that. I'm not sure if you do know please let me know how they and calculate that with the algorithm. but but anyway I just want to show you that so something up I think something's up so can you please let me know? if you're subscribed to my main eevblog channel, you've got the notification bill.

My last solar roadways video I know solo I did three almost in a row so that's like you know that's quite silly. My views are down one point in down 10% watch time down 13% my revenue is down 13% not you know I didn't care about my revenue but let's go into videos that was Susan alphabet they're being interviewed by someone will be a wishy-washy arty-farty interview Oh didn't I Yeah, its money. yeah and confirmed by manual review. This is weird to when I monetize.

you know I did the video on the new I I have to self-certify my videos that they're suitable for manual suitable for monetization. It does that straight away and and after a while it comes up with confirmed by manual review. So whether or not somebody's actually meant and like something didn't the the other day Like these three here were manually reviewed, this one was manually reviewed. but this one here I Believe One, two, three, four wasn't manually reviewed yet.

But now it is. So perhaps because their trial in this new system, people are manually review it. You can see these two here, it's being monetized. It's fine, but it hasn't been manually reviewed anyway.

No. German Solar freakin' Roadways now. It eventually got the views I expected. but the initial views were quite small, especially for solar roadways video even factoring in solar roadways fatigue and so to speak.

So yeah, that's just yeah. So I don't know. Is there a problem with YouTube's announcement thing? I Mean there always is. There always has been people complain I never get your notifications or I get them two days late or bla bla bla bla bla.

But yeah, there you go. so let me know where is it? Don't want to delete it? let let me know. Um, what your if you got notified about this because yeah, it's not. It's not terrific.

There you go, it's changed change timescales now over 24 hours. but yeah, just low number of users. Very surprised, You know I mean sure if people aren't interested in an old-school vintage HP Gear Teardown? You know, so be it. Fair enough.

No, no, no problem at all. but yeah I think there's something up with the announcement I Did release this like it like two hours late. normally I try and release around 9:00 or 10:00 a.m. Sydney Thai which hits peak evening US View time depends where you are in the US of course, but it generally hits the peak time.

but even if I release it like at midday which I did today or just before midday like core to 11:00 or something, then yeah, just on. Yeah, straight on. Minda even then it shouldn't That shouldn't account for. you know the the low views I'm getting so it's just weird or it just could be a combination of the subject matter and the fact that I was a couple of hours late actually releasing this.

It's very important if you don't know Youtubers, they have to release videos at a certain time. There's an art to this to releasing videos at a certain time to match your demographics in your peak watch time. and when people are home from work and they've got nothing better to do and all that sort of jazz, you know. So like one thing, I like a quarter of my audience.

like 25% are in the U.s. so that's my largest segment. The next largest is like twelve to fifteen percent for an individual country, so that's sort of like the largest region. and so yeah, it's I've experimented with this over the years and it's better.

Best for me to release my videos at just you know, 9:10 A.m. Sydney time so to speak. I can release them at night here which then corresponds with Europe time and I get all these comments: Oh I mean Europe and I need to watch it first first first on the comments. So anyway it's funny this want to share that it's interesting so let me know.
