Hi So Susan wijicki Susan alphabet is out as Youtube CEO Just announced after 25 years at Google and nine years as the head of YouTube She's Gone ski and of course, the growth of YouTube over these years has been absolutely fantastic as loud creators like me to make a full-time living from this beauty. That being said, it's been impossible to ignore the absolutely ridiculous decisions YouTube's made over this time and I won't go into details, you know it. But the funniest and most ironic thing is that the CEO of YouTube announced their departure. Not by making a YouTube video, huh? No, why would you do that, but by actually making a old school blog article.
Come on. Seriously, this tells you everything you need to know about the problem with YouTube Is it too much to ask to get? As we say, in the industry here, someone who eats their own dog food. Could we get a YouTube Creator to actually be the CEO of YouTube Nope, We can't We get someone called Neil Mohan he's been there forever. I'm sure he'll be fine, but eh, it's just more of the same.
Every corp I've worked for has had CEOs with a marketing or sales background, which is why all the decisions from above have been absolutely batsh@t and completely against the customer.
