Hi, just wanted to do a quick announcement video. Don't often do this: plugging my own stuff, but I wanted to mention EEVblog2, which is my second channel, Here it is here: Youtube.com/eevblog2, and I'll link it up in that corner There, It'll be a card thing, which will pop up will also be linked down below. And There's tons of stuff happening. Like I Just released, Well, I'm about to release like 5 or 6 videos on there.
I've already released like 3 videos today on EEVBlog2 and this is where I upload Just like it. generally just, single take, unedited videos of stuff that's happening in the lab. And stuff like that. So If we have a look at it, I mean just today, I've released, well, the other day, I released "What is an oscilloscope?" Some dodgy silicon test leads which I had for example and I've done my light box I found in the dumpster, wideralizing an SD card.
And Also,, for those who love, there are tons of people who loved the semiconductor wafer video, with the Olympus microscope. There's more stuff coming for that. but I Uploaded an awesome video on the second channel, once again - single tape showing you a gorgeous a Dallas Semiconductor wafer, and it's it's fantastic. A Lot of people said why didn't I put that on the main channel and stuff like that.
Well, it's just a single take, unedited unpolished stuff. It's all happening on EEVBlog2. And If you have a look, I've already got other videos cued up, ready to go. Like The Olympus microscope calibration-check for the z-axes, I shot just a single thing, I was showing some ESD matting in my lab how it's aged, and changed different colors and stuff like that.
Another thing to do with the microscope with an issue we found with it, and stuff like that. So Go on over to EEVBlog2. It's the place to be, and more stuff is going to be coming because, here he is, here he is, here it is, you might know him, David... - Hello! - ...is over there editing a new video right now.
He did a like a microscope one as well. like actually doing the cleaning and 3D printing the LED attachment and stuff. So he's working on that, and um,, yes, he's full-time now, by the way.. Works full-time with the EEVBlog.
So Yeah, he turned down two perfectly good engineering jobs to do this, why? - It's fun! - It's fun. You Probably can't hear him because the mic is all the way over here, but it's fun. He says right now. That's alright, we'll get better.
Yeah, we might have to change the mic levels between us. Yes, and so we'll be doing more stuff in the lab and just random stuff and we plan to all upload, dump all that stuff on EEVBlog2. So, if you know, there's some really good stuff happening over there. So Yeah, here we go.
he's in. Hello! Yes, yeah, my backdrop fell down. I Keep trying to stick it. You can probably see all the sticky dots up here.
You know, like, I can't hammer into the walls. You know they're not my walls, but it fell down. Anyway, EEVBlog2, up there! One of those cards, stupid things or down below. Subscribe And don't forget to: if you subscribe:, hit the subscribe button up here. Not Only hit the subscribe button, but then hit the little bell icon... It's not here... There's no need to subscribe to myself. Oh...
Geez... To Be written,, that's a bit rude isn't it, YouTube? Can't even subscribe to myself. Anyway, there'll be a little bell icon there, you can get email notifications when I upload new stuff. So That's it: EEVBlog2.
Subscribe or be square! Yeah... whatever... Catcha next time!.
I think Dave is his time traveling son
Trash.
OK I'm sold!
Hi, is third part of the digital logic video in production or plans?
It's neglected, because it's being neglected, i.e. non regular vids and not great content. Thankfully they are short, so you skip them if you don't like what is going on.
Congrats Dave2 for the full time work. Love ur 3d printer work. What else is on the agenda?
Why another channel? What does this offer that playlists couldn't ?
Hey Dave, maybe keep electronics related stuff here, and everything else there?
Coz this is getting ridiculous – another channel for shorter unpolished vids, yet you have a person to edit and polish those vids, and then you have to promote the second channel.
Then again, you have fucking reaction videos in EEV2 – seriously ?
I want to know about dodgy silicone leads, but sure as hell I don't even want to see 'reaction' anything in my subscribtions.
Keep them separate.
Yes! I don't always have the time for a full blown 30 or 40 minute video from Dave. These shorter, spontaneous ones are useful, too. Hell, if it doesn't interest me I skip it.
Error corrected, now subbed. ๐
I love Dave so much (in a geek way) that I have just ordered all his merch clothing…. lol
DJ finds expensive 'scopes, light boxes, etc. For some of us, the best we find is used pizza boxes with crusts inside, or a rusty window fan with seized-up motor. It's hard to celebrate finding a broken ceramic floor urinal. "Just what I needed!" Not.

EEVblog2 – where "short" video really means short video
so eevdiscover is dead?
Dave could you please let us know what's with the old Altium building haven't heard anything else about it
what is your cheapest oscilloscope?? I am poor and I can't afford one so can you send me one?
I have EEVblog2 in my RSS feed (I don't use Youtube subscriptions really), but I rarely find it compelling enough to watch.
Thanks for the info I have subscribed to your other channel now. ๐
Are there any income advantages over having multiple channels instead of one? I knew EE2 from the start and subbed to it but some recent videos could have easily been on the main channel because they are not that far off from the content here. It kinda seems like Dave is trying to make EEV2 into another main channel with similar content (it was meant to be as a offtopic stuff as far as i know) Don't get me wrong i am fine with two identical channels but just wondering if there is some advantages income-vise behind it?
PS. Announcements are fine but please keep ad videos to a minimum. They have been fine so far but let's try to keep it on a reasonable level before we have yet another "mainstream" video where half of the video consists of showing you where is the sub button and how to push it. I will never sub to a channel because someone told me to, if i like the content i will sub and if not then i won't… it's that simple.
Why so many dislikes wtf….
Dave Amazon, Dave Patreon, Dave T-Shirt, Dave 2nd channel, I want SMD resistors with Dave's face on it.
Or better: Electrons with a "D" in the wire. ๐
Dagobert Duck – sorry Dagobert Dave – don't overdue with the Youtube money making…
Now you tell us!
Latest video on the other channel is hitting an SD card with a hammer for a minute. I think I'll stick with the main channel. Not saying it's not worth doing, just not for me.
I think the die video should be in the main channel not in the other one. Just sayin.
Easy one. Keep everything here ๐
Bad idea having more channels!
