Hi I'm down in the doctor room. You're not going to see what I found. Check it out. Crazy! I Don't even got the factory screen protector still on a what idiot? Not this.

but check it out. look one thousand experience I Have never seen a thousand expiries before. They've had the to thousands of freaked out and series but but it doesn't smell even. Geez Internet They live in this like it's a brand new series.

Go for better news. This fireball. Unbelievable. Let's take a back a laugh.

Well look at this. What are the odds of finding something like this? A brand new series Keysight Scope: Well the DSO x11 o to G function generator building two channels it's no doubt using the magazine for ASIC that's in the 2000 and 3000 series. Hundred megahertz bandwidth I Think this could be the top-of-the-line model 2gig sample per second and thank you very much wonder if it works. Let's turn it on why it's up.

Not bad for a dumpster scope. I Mean what are the odds of finding a brand new series in there? Ight, it's just incredible yet. Mega zoom for technology? Look at that. I Guess too right? you bet you.

Infini Vision Scope: None of this rebadged rubbish and takes a while at a booth though. Copyright 1989 to 2016 Oh ho well so I must have dumped it in there last year. I Suspect Anyway, beauty look at that. So Bobby does way.

Yep all the buttons are push Abul No workers and it's got wah Fft. Mass bus. Looks like it's got serial decoding. Hmm.

very nice. Let's rip that annoying screen protector off, but it was nice of somebody to leave it on there when they dump this thing. Beautiful. And it looks like it's got all the capability of the regular armed X-series scopes, but in a much more compact two-channel and no doubt lower-cost form factors.

So like I won't go through everything. Have to do a separate review video of this but fantastic. haha Looking good, but building function Jen and it's got the demo as well. demo output as well.

Wonder if it does all those sequels and stuff? hmm yep. Serial buses. Nice. that'll be hardware decoding to tell me what.

I like the look at this safety. Usb button. beauties hit that. Bob's your uncle 20 make function Jen Oh yeah.

training signals. now we're talking hahaha just like I'm the bigger X-series Fantastic. Hang on. Check this out.

DVM Okay, cool, we're gonna turn on our digital voltmeter. What's this if? I Write frequency response analysis Wow Are you kidding me? Let's do that. Whoa. Well, I got ourselves bode.

Plot functionality, gain, and phase versus frequency. It looks identical to the one that they offer in the power supply analysis option in the high-end 3000 X and our higher scopes. It looks like they're actually just cut the code out of that and whacked it straight in this little what baby bottom end unit. Fantastic.

Check it out! We can even make it transparent of course so that it's still on there, but you can still see all the waveforms and everything else behind it, including the serial decode. But yeah, of course we can't be using the serial decoding. so going to use the inputs to measure the bode plot. So let's have a look at our setup here.
What have we got? Oh, here we go. Shows you how to hook it up. Yeah, there's your dot, your device under test and you take the wave GL No wonder it's got to wave Jen on it and and connect that through the channel one and the end of your DUT and then V out goes to channel two. Simple Anyway, our minimum frequency twenty Hertz Okay, that's reasonable.

I Doing like power supply, stability, loop analysis, stuff like that, getting the phase versus our gain and phase versus frequency, then you know that's more than enough max frequency. Yep, 20 Hertz There we go. and when we can set our amplitude that can go up to nine volts peak-to-peak thank you very much. Down to one millivolts and our weather our not our output load is 50 ohms and what? Also, we got in here sharp.

what can we do? We can set our gain scale in DB Of course that's in what 5 5 DB steps. Yet that's usable gain offset. Once again that's in 5 10 to be steps of 5 DB steps so that we can. that'll move it up and down And we can.

we can. do exactly the same thing with the phase scale as well. that's in 5 degree increments, phase phase offset yep, 5 degrees beauty and we can just Auto it. Let's give it a bowl.

So for the purpose of today's experiment, I Just so happen to have a selectable vampire flow paths LC Filter board here that we can hook up so we can just get a basic guide bandpass thing because that's what we really want to see. So got channel A and B hooked up there. Let's give it a ball. So will this set up air for our maximum frequency range 20 Hertz to 20 mega.

It's our nine volts peak-to-peak max. why not? And let's run that and see what happens. Whoa! Check it out. Looks like it's displaying the way full of that on both channels.

and I haven't set that to transparent so it looks like it's it's the flame those on by default. it should probably vanish and it looks like it's auto-scaling there. And yep, check it out. That blue one there.

That blue trace that's going to be our frequency. and yeah, it's going to flatten out. It's going to flatten out. It should in theory look like a bandpass filter.

and there's our phase up there. Of course, is the pink one? pink? Why not? And oh, you are. So it's sweeping from 20 Hertz up to 20 Meg Ah, what a bother. And then Auto gain it.

auto scaled those at the end. Look at that stands freakin' tastic. So obviously with the phase there, there you go. we've hit some sort of LC thing.

So that is year. That's just a function of the circuit that we're testing. but we've got our beautiful bandpass response. Look at that we're going to chart.

Can we change that after the fact gain scale? You were? Bet we can. So there we go. A change in our scale and so we can go into our gain offset. There we go.
So we could yet move that down like that and we can increase that. Oh, there we go. No, that's the best we can do. There you go and we can do the same for the phase as well.

We can adjust our scale there and our offset if we want to actually put it on the screen. Terrific. A basic bode. plot functionality fantastic.

and I See some cursors in there? Let's have a look. We twirl the knob. Yep, look at that. We can get the readings.

Beauty: Wow Our frequencies go ballistic down there. transparent. Oh yeah, there yet? I Don't think we're triggering off the yeah Channel One signal there. So this thing looks like a Bobby Dazzler and it's obviously designed for a low-end budget.

Our price point: The new X-series I Was wondering when they were going to release this and bring the Mega Zoom for technology down into a lower end because the 2000 X-series is. It was sort of being middle in class that hasn't targeted that low-end price point. I Don't know what the price of this baby is going to be yet, but I believe it's going to be reasonably low and I've been doing some snooping and it turns out that this thing hasn't even been released yet. It's actually going to be officially released on the 1st of March So Keysight are going to have some big blue launch thing for it and also they've been promoting this scope month which is going to happen for March So every day and March I believe they're going to give away like five of these things a day or something like that.

Okay, I found five units in the dumpster. So I think I'm just going to give these away. so I'll probably I have a contest a forum thread for it just like I normally do. I'll give away one to my Patreon Patreon supporters as well.

and for the first time I think I'll try and give one away in the YouTube comments. So what? Because I found a script online that allows you to pick a random youtube comment like a random winner kind of thing. So I think I'll do that. So I'll put a link down below to a video over on my Eevblog 2 channel and that'll just be a giveaway video for one of these scopes.

and so all you're going to do is leave a comment over in that video. You can't leave it in this video. but if you go over to that video, then yeah. So for those who complain, just the YouTube my YouTube audience.

you don't go to the forum or anything else. Um, you can be mine too. But anyway, they're giving away a whole bunch of these for Scope month. Unbelievable.

I'll link that in down Below as well as are they're giving away some high-end ones as well. Beauty Anyway, but what a dumpster? Fine, No doubt we'll do a teardown on a full review of this thing once it's released anyway. Hope you liked it. Catch you next time.

Not much point of this review in the UK as Keysight have just told me they will only supply to companies!!! (not a private individual)

does this scope hold up against the rigol 1054z (i don't really care for the extra channels, i use an LA for my decoding). I've never owned a scope before so i really don't wanna go wrong here. Where i live there's only a 100$ difference between the 1054z(50mhz) and the DSOX1102A (70mhz)

if he actually found it in the dumpster, it was probably put there by someone who was stealing it from their place of employment. it's the oldest trick in the book…put stuff you want in the garbage, then go grab it after work. if it's not there after work, no big deal, try again tomorrow.

although it's just as likely that this is totally fake…
