In this video we transform the ugly bumper made from angle iron into an aggressive offered bumper. We also make a home made winch plate for our Smitty Built X2O 10,000 pound winch. We wanted to make something very strong for the CJ but also maintain the front tow hooks so we can flat tow it behind a truck in case it breaks down. We plan on powder coating the bumper along with the rest of the frame and the previous owner make the old bumper by welding it to the frame so we needed to just work with what we had.

Why does the old look of the frame look used but not rusty. Looks like it was kept in a house after each use
Looks great, the only thing I would say is that the corners of that bumper you closed up didn't have to be that thick. But looks great.
FYI, you can use an adjustable wrench for prying off excess metal. It's easier than pliers.
Wondering if anyone makes a winch mounting plate for the CJ. I'd like to add a winch to my CJ5 but have not seen a plate.
Another project for you young fellows. Build a 1966 Shelby Cobra kit car. It will be a test of your fabricating skills and when you are finished you'll have the most fun on 4 wheels. Evidently you have access to plenty of money so you can build a really nice car. A Cobra build will have all the audience the Jeep build does. Probably more. If done right it'll eat your Mustang for lunch! (I built mine in 2007 from a B & B Roadster kit). I enjoy watching you young guys.
Can you say PLASMA CUTTER.
With the assortment of equipment you have I'm amazed you don't have a plasma cutter. I'm very impressed with you knowledge at such a young age and your videos are great.
Good job guys!
Nice job
You could have bought a warn winch plate for the jeep cj7 for $167 instead of chopping the frame all up with the grinder but the one you built will definately be a lot stronger that's for sure
Great job guys and the for all the videos there awesome and very informative
Looks good guys. I approve.
CJ looks great! keep up the good work. got me excited to start my CJ7 project
