Hi guys, just a quick announcement video because if I don't do this, a whole lot of people will complain that they didn't know about it even though I've said it on uh Twitter on the Forum on the blog. Eh, got to do a video. So here goes: Um Announcement: I'm getting some of these uh, micro rulers made that I gave away at the electronics uh show the other year it's got my ugly mug on the back. There we go.
um 0.5 mm. Quite flexible. really nice. Um, only available in red solder mask.
but I think the red looks pretty good. So um, I'm doing a crowdsourcing campaign on Pos.com It's already started. In fact, it's gone Gangbusters. It's already 300% over subscribed.
I think there's three or 4 days left as of uh, this morning doing this video. So if you want one of these micro rulers, jump in and get one in the next couple of days. Otherwise, you'll miss out. They're very cheap.

To keep sane, my advice is use the word only a lot. it's only about 2 and a half thousand deliveries, its only about 10000 rulers, its only August, I only said they can get them in September,and you'll be fine………

I'm not asking for Dave to do anything. I'm just pointing out that I watch videos, on YouTube, of Dave doing his thing; and I love it. My involvement is uni-directional, so I rarely use the forum or read the blog.
I buy t-shirts / rulers and such when they come up because they're neat and I'd like to see Dave motivated to continue. The only reliable method of notifying me of such events is a new video. Call it laziness, but others are likely to also fit this pattern.
I bought five µRulers to support the channel and allow Dave to do more awesome stuff in the future. The rulers are quite well designed and very neat.

Looks like it's going to pass $30,000.00 before the time's up.
So 12x the goal and roughly 2200 envelopes to stuff… even if you gave yourself a month to do them, it would still take 73 envelopes a day. Jeez… Have fun packing rulers, Dave!

Holy shit! … 26.5k A$ 😀 And 24 hours still left… Dave is in a deep trouble with the packaging 🙂 Local post office will be closed for a few days to process his parcels 😀 Maybe he would even have to rent a van to transport all of these…

You need a Europe and UK distributor! The thought of posting 500 orders would scare me lol, never name 7000 rulers.
I guess Dave will now spend a few years packaging and sending all those rulers 😉
