Why didn't you put the tip on all the way with the"soldering iron" I've had one like that from Walmart in the past the tips are more common than you think with those types of irons (wireless) they do go thru batteries in minutes for couple of small gauge wires that's about it.. yeah just curious on why he didn't put the tip on all the way?

Those who started on punch cards and then stepped up to 110 baud acoustic coupler modems on teletypes Thought those were wonderful.

Fair go, mate. Fair suck of the sauce bottle. Fair crack of the whip

Made famous by the ill-fated former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, who enjoyed using Australian slang to speak to the electorate and often pleaded for a "fair suck." The phrase generally means that you want to be treated fairly.

"Fair suck" was coined by struggling Australian families who shared droppings of tomato sauce to flavor their meat. Such was the hard life that all they wanted was an equitable suck. In the fields, they needed a "fair crack of the whip." Fair go, mate.

Something interesting about the Floppy drive: It contains Chips from Russia, eastern Germany and and America. Despite being produced behind the iron curtain at that time those ICs are staying much closer than the countries nowadays…

I started with a 300bps modem, then went to a 2400bps, then once I could afford the trailblazer which was 14,400bps from memory (possibly even 19,200bps), but it was the fastest thing ever!! BBS's flew, as long as you had the same speed at the other end 🙂 Now we get 90Mbps on FTTP and we complain about that..

Can thoose ribbon cables on the Gen 4 be extended. I've got ideas about extending a Micro HiFi front pannel away from the other boards. Poop I just realised the date on the video 2016 pahh!

Don't agree. The last mile should be to suite requirement. I'm happy with 70mbit on copper why would i spend on fibre when i don't need it. You wouldn't buy a 4ch 20g dso if you only needed a 2ch 50m
