Dave & Friends destroy a Keysight U1282A Multimeter.
Is it really IP67 rated & can withstand a 3m drop?
Only one way to find out, take it canyoning, then drop it, throw it from a moving car, run over it, and then drop it some more until it breaks!

Done.
Water proofing a multimeter is undere ratas considering how sensitive voltage is
After that I wish you would make a REPAIR video ๐
Would like to see dave attempt to return it to keysight for a refund
This is what you need on a hike through the wilderness.
why the heck are so sturdy? Military actions or what?
Moronic, video.
Was the fluke dragged by the Car damage test too?
Dave You Can Do It.!!!..
.FIX it,,,Fix it..Fix it…!!!!!!….
i disliked since it doesn't show, i will say it here.
I've looked everywhere, but Keysight doesn't seem to provide 'terminal velocity' in the specs for this meter.
Big up to Dave, have alot of admiration for his trade and skill set. Still it makes me wanna cry 2 see two DMMs which I cant afford being destroyed but I get the point.
Kate is cute and all but electronics engineers aren't about physical fitness
Watching this many years after owning a U1282A still in pretty good shape after all these years. It is incredible to see how well the meter handled all this abuse. Pretty good meter.
WAH WAH WAH
I think the 2 more important and realistic tests are: 1) Put in A and mA and probe 220V mains. 2) Drop it from 1.5m (5 feet) and check the calibration after 10 drops.
Damn… You have 'Taggers", in Australia too?
"Dry as a dead Dingo's Donger"…Try saying that three times fast!
Heartbreaking video for me .. Having a basic fluke DMM is still my dream . While these guys are throwing their agilent DMM โบ๏ธ
Why destroy a multimeter that others would murder for, it is built protected enough for normal use seen by the teardown. A river trip is not a precision multimeters natural environment. geeeezzzz
