I have a plasma tv which was pretty thin for it's time, i use it as my computer monitor, it's has a nice steady display and it's pretty useable, i game on it, watch video's on it (like this one now), i mean it's not bad, they have 1 advantage over lcd, and that is that the blacks are truely black which is nice, my Panasonic model is around 15 years old now, i mean this tv was top of the line, it consumed the less and having one of the brightest and nicest screens which is still true to this day, you can mistake it for an lcd panel, i like it, i don't know why but it's a neat display ๐Ÿ™‚

I was hoping for a comment about some of the back panel screws having arrows and a few not.

I took apart my old plasma TV today. I think it was maybe a 52LG70yd maybe?
Edit: it was definitely a 52lg70yd. And all the interesting circuit boards were behind the dumb RF shield

Hi guys, is there an online course for learning electronics or a starter course for electronics or electronic engineering?

For the record; most of ALL tv's generate some small amount of the radiation. You literally have to surround yourself with multiple televisions being on to worry about any health risk.

I'm still running my LG 60PG30FD from 2008 and it's had hard, hard use, primarily as a gaming monitor for my PC and consoles. It's probably had over 50,000 hours by now.

I have an old 50" LG like this. Bought new in 2007 for about $3k US. Now I can't get anyone to buy it for $110. It still works, but has recently developed a couple color lines down the vertical axis on the right side. I don't know which model was used in the video but mine is not 50kg, though it is heavy at 73lbs without the stand (roughly 33kg). I'd fix it if I thought that would make it easier to sell. Otherwise, my dad said it'd make a good garage tv, which I'm tempted to do, though I have no space to put it at the moment. Since the vertical boards are separate, I'm wondering if I can just get replacement vertical boards for the section with the lines and if that'd fix that problem. This tv works great otherwise.

Should have watched this first, seen a little burn mark so as I unscrewed the power supply I touched the yellow thing which I'm assuming is a battery and got the shock of my life ๐Ÿ˜‚ how long should I wait before messing with it again

Is there a way to clean under the front glass of a plasma lg tv as the there was a fly that got behind the glass and died there?

Plasma tv technology gives a real better picture than any kind other LED tv.
wonderfull natural colors , very high contrast , deep black with a plasma tv.
the best plasma screens were made by Panasonic , Pioneer " Kuro " ( and also the Sony pro plasma monitors )

LG isn't too bad. I've had a LG HD LCD monitor that's lasted the last 6 years in California's heat. It's even had to endure dust and moisture since it's located in a shed type building. Using it as a second monitor now but it's fantastic for it's age
