Dave rescues this awesome one-of-a-kind Indiana Jones themed HO scale model train set from the dumpster!
Complete with Ark of the covenant, Petra, the well of souls, the truck chase, the raft ride, the swing bridge, the plane, the mine cart chase, and the big boulder.
All he's got to do is take it apart...
And an eerie tour of an abandoned hobby shop.

Done.
Iโd love to know more about the history of the hobby store that was abandoned along with this model train layout. As well, are you planning on seeing the new Indiana Jones film this summer of 2023? Ironically, it features a Nazi train in it.
My god Sagan is disgustingly cute. I watch the little guy and I can't help but laugh. I don't know exactly what it is about little kids that always puts a smile on people's faces. I'm not complaining though. I miss my son being that age. He's 17 now and not nearly as much fun anymore. Somehow I don't miss potty training him or the dirty diapers… Anyway, good on you for saving that train set. What a fantastic model.
dam you jammy begger lol ,
wow what a find though ,any idea on it's value?
This is just too awesome for words!!!
Such a shame about the store…
I remember a few hobby shops in Lexington, KY that were awesome like this one.
And thanks to the internet, they're gone.
It's sad, but thier fault, kinda. When you can get the same RC car on Amazon for $100 less than the shop, there's not much math to do, to figure you're going to go Amazon…
The reason I use that analogy is because it happened to me. I found a Losi RC kit on Amazon for $380 + Free shipping. I went to the hobby shop to get one, and they wanted $480, for the exact same car kit!
I asked them if they could come down on the price and they got very rude and said "If you can get it on Amazon for that, go for it!" So I did, and they went out of business…
theres a rc chassis in there!
i would have took everything in there. lol
UM whers the train? U dident show it
If that was my set, I would add scenes from Last Crusade, and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, such as the ant fight with Indy and Dovenchiko, the ugha tribe of akator, the tank and motorcycle chase, and the Churchillian cemetary.
is there an update on this? would love to know what happened after he hot it home.
Awesome score ๐
Cool. I would have liked to have seen that place in it's heyday. Did you get anything else like RC cars or more trains?
If you have to you could completely bodge that straight connecting section and maybe replace it with a bridge later.
Can you comprehend how much I hate you for possessing that? Envy just doesn't describe what I feel.
nerds are us! nerds are us! nerds are us! yay
EEVblogย OMG!! Indiana Dave Jones!!!11
Its like your own quest. Great find!!
lol "its probably their own fault"…
This is why I always tell the kids to pay that extra 5% and buy local. Some do some wont.
Awesome! I haven't seen a museum quality themed layout like that before!
Oh that's a shame, so much great craftsmanship into those exhibits…
What a shame about the store, that was a beautiful space. Never seen anyplace half as nice where I am
I hope you can keep this piece intact. There's a lot of art into prop-making, a lot of time goes into it
