I love the two minute teardown. If I had access to that much electronics I'd do nothing than two minutes ๐Ÿ™‚ (Yeah just send all your electronics my way ๐Ÿ™‚ )
I learn so much from seeing the mistakes and the good things that others do, and that we see on the TMT's.

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hannes Camitz says:

Even if it's 6 years since this video saw the light of day, but we i Sweden got outlets blocket like that, but you can force them to open up bu pushing both shutters at the same time.

I have a feeling those aren't depth gauges but rather for reference when the scalpels are used in surgeries (eg, to hold against a tumor or something like that and get its size)

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bert Blankenstein says:

Two minute tear down works for me. Just a quick sqiz inside (like Flynn) that multimeter, input protection? how crusty is it?

Hmm, maybe someone who can't pronounce any names or places shouldn't be talkin'bout how to say kayshing…I mean, caching.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ricardo Monteiro says:

About the shutters, as far as I know only UK and Ireland have them like that.

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kandi Gloss says:

I know that this video is over a year old, but unf… grid…. I used to drool over those things when I was a kid (I was a weird kid).

60 fps goodness, I like it very much especially since the YouTube app update and its no longer very buggy with the 60 fps playback

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nick Devan says:

I really enjoy the short teardowns and they're the main reason I watch the mailbag videos.

the uk socket has two rivets, far left and right hole. take off their head with a larger diameter drill from the backside. no need to drill out the whole rivet.

The Nationwide cip-pin device is used for internet banking currently in the UK. many other banks are using a similar system.

They are designed to authenticate you to the website. All you must do is insert your debit card, enter the pin and choose the Identify function to provide the site with an 8-digit unique code which authenticates you for one session.ย  Without this device it is impossible to log into the site, tus preventing password brute forcing.ย  It can also be used over a telephone line if you wish to bank that way.

When transfering large amounts of money to accounts you do not own, the device is used a second time to authenticate the transaction. This time you select the Sign function and enter a code provided by the site for that specific transaction. You then provide the site with the "signed" code the device displays.

These devices are increasingly a requirement to perform any internet banking.ย  They are also interchangeable, so you may share one device if you loose your own. All functions require your own card and pin to work.

Also very power efficient. had mine for 4 years. Never changed the battery ๐Ÿ™‚

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars jothain says:

Safety shutter type plugs are quite common ie. Finland. It requires to push two shutters simultaneously to open them.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars oderbang says:

UK has those shutters on ALL plug sockets that are up to current regulations!

I miss the two minutes tear down's, the new format is too ADD for my taste.ย

Hi Dave…love your channel its rippa! I have the exact same knife as you but myins is better! ๐Ÿ˜‰ My one has an anti friction blade with heavy serrations on the back of the blade like a saw, I'd say your knife and my knife are made by the same company!? My one is extremely well made like yours i suspect but the surprising thing about my knife is there is nothing at all on my knife to show who made it!…what country it was made in etc! Nothing! would like to know if theres any makers mark etc on your knife? I use mine for camping…bushcraft etc, Also…I'm volunteering my services to help you open your mailbag etc but as I'm in the Emerald Isle…Ireland!…you'll just have to send your mailbag over to me! ๐Ÿ˜‰

English plugs….the longer pin/prong is Earth, it is longer so it goes into the socket first and releases the covers for live and neutral.
