Hi Quick announcement time, Tada, it's the 121 at GW Multimedia. Have seen this in several of my videos over well then many months now. I've actually been working on this for almost two years now in conjunction with Yui I test instruments and it's finally available on Kickstarter Let's check it out. It was released this morning Patron backers.

actually there were like 50 or 40 units first of all available to my Patron and Forum supporters and that actually crashed my server the demand I Released it like 9:00 a.m. a couple of days ago and everyone and my this server just went down because so many people and stupid WooCommerce Platform failed. Stupid thing. I put in a stock of 40 of these things in it sold like 57 or something I don't I don't get it.

bloody software. Anyway, it's now available on Kickstarter Um, it was released this morning and I'm currently up to 119 backers. I am. Where am I Here we go: I'm 75 percent funded beauty.

what a Bobby does Laughs! So these are like it's selling like hotcakes. so I'll link it in down below. That's it. I won't explain anymore.

It's available on Kickstarter now and for I'm getting these delivered like mid-december or something. hopefully. so all things going well, we should have them very shortly. Anyway, there is a limited quantity and all that sort of stuff.

There's only 341 left if you want one at the early bird price. With the early delivery because there are a few component supply issues, it's always a problem with these sort of things. Here we go: I Was gonna do a quick video now I'm going to rant about component supply problems up which delay shipment cuz there's lead times on components and things and you know I think we're sucking up all the world's stock of the micro into the STR micro inside this thing and the analog devices. True RMS converter chip and stuff like that.

So anyway, but we are. We have secured Dok for a certain number so if you get in very very quickly, you'll be able to get an early unit hopefully. Um, so yeah. oh it's on Kickstarter Um, but because I am Australian in Australia they forced me to use Australian dollars.

So everything here is in Australian dollars. so if you want the U.s. equivalent sorry, they just don't let me. You've got to have a corporation, a bank account, social security number, everything in the US if you want to list it in US dollars.

So they forced me to do it because I buy this in US dollars. So it's really a pain to actually do a Kickstarter in Australian dollars with the Australian dollar dropping like a rock or fluctuating all over the place. I Think it's gonna probably drop like a rock soon so it could be in trouble anyway. Get in quick before I go bankrupt due to the Aussie dollar linked down below Kickstarter Very exciting.

Oh, one more thing. I Did actually promise I believe down here in the pledges that if you back it, you'll get an exclusive video of the behind the scenes development of this thing. Better start actually editing that bit and I catch you next time.

Also the link in your description to your Amazon store no longer works 🙁 Just FYI.

I want one of these and was looking on Amazon since I live in the States. Could seem to find it; is it not on Amazon? I saw that chart behind you on your Amazon page and the other multimeter you have but not this one that I'd like to ask for for my birthday.

Dear Dave, my husband is a dedicated subscriber of your channel. I don't know much about the topic, but he is an electrical engineer. He really wants one of your 121GW multimeters and his birthday is upcoming. Are people still able to get there hands on these items? If so, how? I see ads on Amazon, but would rather see the money go directly to you (also, we're in Canada). Thanks in advance for your insight on how to get a hold of one of these. Cheers!

Hello Dave, I've been wondering the reason you haven't released any reviews of this multimeter. I'm interested in it but there seems to be a shortage of reviews by you or anyone on youtube. I wanna see it in action!!!

When will there be a EEVblog oscilloscope?

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MrBrymstond says:

Does it keep up with a Fluke in the same price range?

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars redstone craft guy says:

    Not buying that, too expensive.

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars jburdman7 says:

What kind of meter can be made for less than 1,000 quid? This will be rubbish and should be binned straight away.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Petr Sourek says:

Still available to buy from somewhere? Preferrably from EU, because of the customs. Thanks.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Shivam Prakash says:

Hey Dave when will this meter be available to buy again?

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars b888 says:

    Is it AUD 32?

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars fatguy1121 says:

I just now realized the 121GW is a Back to the Future reference when Doc Brown says he needs 1.21Giggawats of power! good on ya.

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars francis daoust says:

    When available to buy?

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rumpy says:

Dave, I missed this on kickstarter due to relocating last year. Is there plans to make this multimeter available as an ongoing production item, I would like to purchase.

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cristo Sanchez says:

Emmm, how can we get this now though?

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars RPdigital says:

How important it is to measure Burden voltage?

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jseb Tarot says:

Personnaly i found the BM235 EEVBlog very cool and enougth accuracy and very nice with EF sensor! to detect electric cable on wall, the diode voltage theshold great! and it's huge usefull! i like it. But yes more acurate are better Ok. But you know the price depending of accuracy. But building a better meter than fluke 87V it's a great adventure and great challenge. If you reach the target I sell my fluke 87V and buy your new meter 😉 it's a promise!. For the BM235. I have juste a little problem with backlight (no backlight! issue) i solve himself. 2 screws not enougth tighten! anyway no problem at all. great product. Thank you Dave!

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kris Kizlyk says:

Got my meter today and this is a huge upgrade from my 2002 GreenLee. The best feature so far…bluetooth! Dave, this was a great venture! Finally, it feels good to own a meter that was not a mass market overpriced made device made with heart, integrity and precision with no bullshit strings attached! Thank you!

I also submitted flag to this campaign to help to bring it down fast

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars LC61 says:

As the project is now fully funded and closed. How does one go about ordering one of these new MM? Or do these remain a closed boys club thing.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Fedaykin Naib says:

Dave I missed out on backing your kickstarter. Are you going to have this unit on your webshop for sale?

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jason Burt says:

    Chinese copy is already available.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mason Daub says:

Damnit I missed the kickstarter lol

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars lee3r24 says:

Oh man totally missed this and kickstarter is closed. Will these be available from the store later next year?

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ForViewingOnly says:

Great to see the Kickstarter going so well… half a million dollars! That's awesome! Good on you Dave.

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars killuaxgon says:

this is very interesting. I am a supporter of open hardware, and am likely to buy something that has at least the schematics public like this project. The campaign says they are available. Are they out there somewhere because i can't find them. or will they be released when the product ships? that would make sense. In any case, great project, i hope it gets linux support too.

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Wessel Lemmer says:

    Almost missed it

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kjell-Olov Högdahl says:

It's perfect but for one thing – I'd like chargeable batteries! If you make the next generation with (removable) Li-Ion/LiPo cells and USB charging I'm all in!! Or make an episode how to mod it 🙂
