Can someone tell me where I can buy holster for this meter?
Thanks Dave. I have one of these, it was issued to me by work. The only problem I've had is that it displays "batt" after a few weeks even with a fresh set of quality AA's in it. This is especially annoying due to the bother of removing the holster and six torx screws every single time! The other slight gripe is the way the three AA batteries have a split contact arrangement between the body of the meter and it's battery cover. This makes it quite hard to get the cover on.
Cool
This equip Is incredible, Fluke Is the Best,

Great job!, thanks for the review
I just now stumbled on too you,due to looking into 28ll vs. 87v . I must say I find you hilarious as well as informed. Thanks for great info! P.S. I have to believe you selected your worst P.O.S. screwdrivers on purpose, for effect.๐
Hi, i'm a bit confused. Looking fรผr a good Multimeter and found your channel. The choose is between Metrahit X-tra and Fluke 28 II. After watching your both Videos about it, im not sure with to buy. Both Videos are "old". Are there coming new models? Would you recommend another model? Thank you very much. Funny Tests/Teardowns

hello, I am posting this on a very old video here hope u will see it in ur notification.
sir I own a fluke 28-ll multimeter and want to know about what happens if set the meter dial to microamps and the black test lead in COM port and red test lead in microamps port and start testing the voltage which is 220 volts AC.
I am asking because an electrician came to my place and I offer him my fluke meter for troubleshooting. He set the dial to microamps and put the test leads on the microamps port and start testing voltage which is 220 volts ac.
will this type of incorrect usage effects the meter accuracy or some little or severe damage to the meter.
kindly give ur suggestion on this thank you
I already check the 440ma fused is blown will this is the only damage done or there is more happen with the meter.
Thank You.
I do not doubt the quality of fluke but they are very expensive instruments for what they give of benefits for this price you can buy a keysight u1282 that is a thousand times better and with many more benefits fluke loosens the price or the market will eat it
Is it made in USA?
Boa noite de portugal
Is this now called the 87 V MAX? Or is that yet another toughened industrial meter?
They are both true RMS, right!
I don't understand why Dave says he doesn't like the 9V battery idea and that the AA batteries are superior. Can someone enlighten me?
"… as you can see, um, you can't really see much …" LMFAO. Cheers ๐
Could anyone explain why nowadays 28-II is cheaper than 87-V?
"It really is quite a buoyant meter!"
I hate those meters that just sink. Great find.

Nice to see it comes with AA batteries instead of 9V, long overdue. I also agree with white tigers comment below, for the money it should definitely come with first class silicone leads and a nice magnetic holder, this thing has a first class price of $450 and it should come with first class accessories. And Daves right the power on and other pertinent info should be on the back of the meter, plenty of room for it. Its not like any of this is new to Fluke, whats up with taking away useful info, they can print all that other garbage on there thats of no use to the owner why not the stuff that is.
Paying over 100 dollars more than 87V just for get a glowing in the dark buttons and sacrifice the accuracy of the 87 V, just because the 28 floats ? who really needs that "feature" So I will keep my 87 V
