Damn I'm watching mailbags from 5 years ago.
These videos hold their value pretty good don't they?
Thanks from the states, I took basic electronics design and programming in the Navy (96-2000)
Long ago but I can follow along with most of the circuit explanations, I missed alot changing my field so YouTube has filled the gap in a very satisfying way.
    Thanks again!!!

That HP power supply is out of (by the look) DL360 G5. The case is pressurized and the power supplies are part of the vents out.

😍 Vacuum, glass, nipples, high voltage… In a calculator. Delicious

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Steve Tobias says:

It's now 2020 and the LattePanda is $370 AUD with the Windows licence. A bit pricey for a IoT board. Imagine the Raspberry Pi and Arduino stuff you could get for that price. Don't think I will be trying it 👨‍🎓

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars William Randles says:

Spray the Creative Zen guts with the Nano Protech then turn it on then drop it in water and see if it will run like the drill they pictured. By the way I used to work where we used the gov. spec. conformal coating was checked with UV light.

    AUSTRALIAN BATTERY!!!!

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cornflake0750 says:

The power supply is from a very old ProLiant DL360 G3 and provides 325 Watts. Nowadays you can get 1.200 Watts in about the third of the volume, that's almost 12 times more energy per volume. And also those are 94% efficiency with much less heat generation !

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cornflake0750 says:

I bet those Russian devices would last a thousand years ! Too bad there will be nobody left to use them !

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MrBrymstond says:

It's probably updating so it will run a little slow!

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MrBrymstond says:

You have to be 5% smarter than the switch.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars feynthefallen says:

Wow, did you see how close to the edge that SDRAM on the Zen sits? Half the electrons are going to fall off the board!

yeah I dunno bout rain either but I would love for you to spay a few older boards fire them up and hit them with your thermal

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tony Eezi says:

Just wanted to add that I still use my Creative Zen Vision-M pretty much everyday, and have done since buying it . . . . . a long time ago 🙂 I bought it due to the huge capacity (30GB) and because you didn't need to subscribe to a costly service to copy music and videos to it.

The genuine crocodile Dundee knife lol.. Its okay laughing at the Estonian Radio but it works after 38yrs try getting an Xbox one to do that in 38yrs LOL

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rosetta says:

    1) CPU of the lattepanda is on the BACK SIDE. 2) i run boinc on it and it's very very hot. if you dont give it a proper heat sink or a fan, it will throttle to ~0.3 GHz. 3) lattepanda seems very sensitive to power voltage. you'd either need a cable with very low resistance or a power supply with output slightly higher than 5V (like 5.2V-5.5 V) to compensate the voltage loss by the cable.

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hewitt_Himself says:

the only types of mp3 player that really exist still are the ones that have an amp and a dac to play lossless audio… the for a while the shuffle kept going for its size but smaller and better bluetooth in ear headphones killed that off

only use for older mp3 these days is permanently docked, even seen a few shops that keep one as there background music as they have there payed music on it

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Matthew Trzcinski says:

Aren't server power supplies produced in mass quantities normally associated with consumer goods?

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sasha Whitefur says:

    "Cache" is a French word.
