I Just a quick impromptu video. yes I am on holidays but I had to do this one just letting people know. Thank you for the person on Twitter who no, no on the forum eevblog forum who alerted me to this. It is a complete scam.

Check this out and of course IndieGoGo The Scammers platform of choice Somebody it is Not me. I did not do this nor authorize this. It is a complete ripoff of my 1:21 GW multimeter Kickstarter campaign. They've completely copied everything.

They copied the backer levels, they've copied all my photos, everything, all the text like it's you know it could even be some BOTS doing it. You know, like like just scraping successful Kickstarter campaigns and setting it up. But if you go into about here, they copied my profile picture, everything one campaign created, email verified. So yet it's not my David eevblog com email I can assure you or that they even ripped off my announcement video from YouTube Actually that may be why it couldn't be a bot because they must have at least went to knowing to go to my youtube channel to actually rip off my youtube video.

So yeah they like it's I could play it but I won't bother. Anyway, it's my youtube announcement video on my channel and they've already raised a thousand dollars. I'm not sure how long it's got a month left, but six people have already backed this. At the Great Scott level it is a scam.

Do Not back this. I will of course of course put a claim in, try and get it taken down but I'm Not sure how long that will take. I'm sure they will actually take it down. but yeah, it's like I've seen this before for other projects I just didn't expect it to happen to mine.

but I guess you know it was a fairly success. Reasonably successful Kickstarter campaign in the scheme of things at you know, six hundred and something thousand dollars. So yeah, um, beware of these IndieGoGo campaigns. It is common I see these actually quite a lot and a lot of them are legitimate.

Of course a lot of people will of course. IndieGoGo contacted me and asked me if I wanted to go over to their in Demand program they contact I guess every successful were Kickstarter campaign and asked them if they want to go over. So the marketing is really good trying to get people over so that's common. So you do see a lot of Kickstarter campaigns moving over or maybe vice-versa that's usually from Kickstarter over to IndieGoGo anyway.
