In this video we begin working on some insane frame additions for our $50 lifted go kart that we bought a few months ago. This is the first part of this build and we are planning to install a 420 cc predator as well as a 40 series torque converter to help this thing become an off road beast.
Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe for weekly uploads and the rest of this build!
If you liked the music be sure to check out my buddy's Soundcloud for some sick guitar!

Making a small racing go kart for a school project first time doing this would a 12.5hp motor be good to use? To slow to fast? I want it to be very fast, just looking for an opinnion

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Oracle's Cave says:

It's still funny reading all the comments from people making fun of the welds, but they held up just fine supporting that fairly heavy motor.

Noobs… Don't pay any attention to the snobbery, you too can get a cheap welder and splatter it all over the place lol, it's not pretty but it still works, don't let snobbery hold you back.

Plus you can clean it up with a flap Sander.
Treat it like a hot glue gun, that's all it is.

Great video guys, I'm doing a lightweight kids go kart build just now, but what gauge steel tubing do you suggest for building a kart that will support the predator engine without bending and tearing but also keeping it as light as possible.
