In this video we bring life back into a friends project CJ-7 that has been sitting for nearly 20 years awaiting a early LS swap (Vortec 5.7 350) that only needed some finishing touches to get back up and running. In order to get it ready for its first drive we had to do some stuff like set up the entire cooling system, finish some wiring, and fabricate a new transmission mount and driveshaft. After we got all of that stuff done all we needed to do was take it for its first drive! This CJ-7 needed some work with transmission wiring and shifting but unfortunately we ran out of time to get it to 100% but getting it to a point to where it could drive was a challenge in itself and we are proud to get another classic car back on the road.

he looks gaye as fuk…lol
What radiator you run on that?
That cj is awesome bro!!! But when you say it’s loud I kinda laugh because my cj7 is literally straight piped it has the amc 304 v8 and the exhaust system goes from the headers strait to a glass pack.
This reminds me of the 1980 CJ-7 I had back in the 80s. Same color. It had a spring-over-axle conversion, and a Chevy 327 with 4-on-the-floor. I could bark the 33'' mudders in all four gears. It had transmission issues, but man I miss that Jeep.
What radiator is that?
Which suspension is fitted in this?
lol… Had a Cleetus McFarland moment right after the fire up, eh? "Hell yeah, brother!" lol
I know this is a year old video, but I just have to say how wonderfully refreshing it is to see young men actually using their minds and hands and actually knowing what the parts are! That is so damn rare these days! Keep on building and best of luck!
Also did you replace the transmision?
That puttering sound is likely due to a burnt or leaky exhaust valve.
This is what I want to do with my Jeep. Dream car.
Awesome! When can I buy something you guys design and build?
I just bought a CJ5. its in fairly poor condition but hope to do to it what you have done. Gonna be my play vehicle in place of my JK!
Great work guys.Good luck in school.Hope to see more from you soon too.
Is that a 4.3l vortec from a s10
Nothing like an old school jeep ls swapped! One of my few dreams! Lol I see you need to make a trip to harbor freight and get a real floor jack! Lol
Awesome! You might want som shorty headers though.
What cam do you have in the motor?
What kinda camera u guys using?..looks good!
Keep the jeep builds coming!
Good luck in college boys…
Same..I. want an LS in my TJ.
Check the trans fluid.. from completely empty it will hold 10 to 12 quarts… Use the manufacturer recommended fluid type… If not low in fluid drop the trans pan. Replace the filter (use the same kind of gasket that came off (if paper replace with paper) clean the valve body the valves sometime stick when a trans sits for long amounts of time…if this doesn't remedy your problem then it's time to take it to a professional trans service shop… Be cool guys and thanks for a cool video series…
