Phase 2 of the turbo go kart build starts now!
In this video we pull out all the stops and completely build the baddest 212 that has ever rolled out of our shop. We used a complete stage 4 go power sports 212cc predator build kit, then added things like a turbo, side plate, and 265 fire grind cam to make this thing into a stage 5. Some of the stuff this engine got, NR Racing Piston, billet flywheel, billet rod, billet dual bearing side cover, 265 grind cam, and an arc top plate. After this build we are going to be installing the entire efi system specifically designed for turbo applications like this. Be sure to stay tuned for the video of us tuning this bad boy!

Hello: okay: this is sick, alright guys, so it is finally time we are fully building this turbo Kart engine. We have EFI on the way. This thing is going to make a complete transformation, go with power, sports totally hooked it up, and we are going with a full Stage. Four build with a lip with a couple of extras for more turbo oriented stuff.

Here's how the turbo in testan it's it's. It's completely stocked with 18 pound valve springs, then the governor removed put power sports totally hooked it up. We have a state all the parts for Stage four build on this thing, so that includes a shaved head, that's been ported and polished. I mean it's absolutely beautiful.

In there we have, we have really powerful double valve springs in here. That's the weighted like 50 pounds, something like that. So we're not gon na have any issues with boost blowing open or valves. So that's awesome.

We have this AR C side cover dual barrel, never used one of these before, but apparently, if we're having super high power on this predator, we're gon na need it to keep this thing in peace. So then, the typical AR c rod - and they are super phillips liabilities - are just things for longevity and reliability. So don't blow this thing up. Next we have these black phantom roller rockers.

These things are absolutely incredible, really excited and the show those things off. We got a clear valve cover. This is called a 265 fire cam. This is basically whether it cans that gives us the biggest overlap and in the longest duration.

That way we can blow out some of the exhaust gas with the boost. So that will really make this thing efficient and then flat top piston and like new head gasket, new gaskets and all that and an a RC top cover that way. We don't have to run the exhaust straight out this way until the way the gas tank. We can just loop it right around and point it up so huge build here.

We also want to paint the engine and shave down the sides here kind of like a Harley, so we'll paint it black and then we'll have like the aluminum thins, showing it should look really cool. So lots going on to this one. Let's get right started, cylinder wall looks really good and no scoring or anything boys I mean pretty black, but most oil. We take out of these things as black anyways, so I mean really.

I just think replacing that piston and all the rod and stuff like crank looks fine, so it's a good candidate to build. So I got this block all cleaned up. This way it's brand new. So now we got this NR flat, top racing piston and wrapping the piston rings 257, thousands which I have right here, a feeler gauge, and that is good to go.

So now I'm gon na get the other rings as well as the oil rings, and then we can install this piston with the AR C rod. Alright guys. So we got the rod torqued and our new piston end looks really good. So now we're installing the fire cam Singh is sweet, so so most y'all know all there is to installing the cam is lining up the two dots so now, for we have this side cover, but for painting purposes we're gon na slap on the old one.
That way, we don't have to worry about masking off or anything we need to spray over. It kind of rookie mistake this fat, daddy, cannons hidden on the on the crankshaft, so we marked where we need to shave it. Now I got to take everything off again and redo it, but at least you noticed then just trying to start her up, but it would have it wouldn't it will not turn over. This is the biggest game we've ever put in this, and one of this predator.

So exactly where before, but I clearance it great now, I really didn't need to shave that much off and she spends over good, no knocking or anything. So now we have these head studs, her makes me like you know we can torque down the head, bolts, more and basically they're studs, so they're a little bit easier to work with. So all we got to do it's easy. It's just threading them in like this.

Alright guys so here's a little bit of a comparison you can see. This is a regular ngon, Hemi head and there's a ton of gap, your hand. The valves are bigger on this guy, so this is really sweet. Now all we got ta do Silas baby y'all.

So good-looking engine so yeah, this is an on hemi-head, it's okay, because I mean it doesn't really matter, don't like thing. Basically, we've been putting a non Hemi head on a heavy, but it works so now we'll thread these on and torque them down. Basically, I just stopped putting the rockers on because they don't fit with this regular valve cover, and we want to just have this on here, so we're not the mask it off, so they see now where it is they're gon na mask this thing off paint it Black and then we can shape the fins and get on with the rebuild high temp engine and MO, and what we're going for here is just to paint the block and then kind of sand down the edges of these fins. So they're shiny an aluminum kind of like a Harley, so we cleaned it off with a bunch of brake clean, make sure all the gunk was off and we're just going to start putting some coats on this thing.

We finished painting it black with that engine in them. Oh now we're just gon na really slow. You sand down all the edges of these fins with some fine grit sandpaper. That is going to look good at the time left that bumps in and each pin one by one zero.

How will the next time you see me we'll have an actual beard, alright guys, so I'm scratching my head as to why these roller rockers wouldn't fit on our engine here and the push part wasn't done before, but basically like the cam was all the way up. In the spring was all the way down a little trying to crack it. So then I was there then I went to go, get a new push rod and then I got a push rod from another engine that you realize it was a lot shorter. So now I know Hemi push rods are actually longer than non heavy push rods, and because this used to be a Hemi, I was trying to put the Hemi push rods in it.
So just so you know, if you do get one of these engines or one of these performance heads from go power sports make sure you have the right length push rods on you all right people. This thing is all sanded. I've got the clear valve cover on gorgeous so now we're gon na do we're going to work on getting that bill. It's side cover on so basically the everything is between 10 and 15 on that gauge right now, it's all the way up to 35.

So basically, what that means is that I need to add a shim or two and then get that inflated. I'll show you, when it's done. Okay, guys, there's our hemp plant, it's right about at 15, which is at the higher end of the tolerance. But I've tried putting another Shimon, it's just too tight, so this is pretty darn good, alright guys.

So this thing is pretty much good to go yeah. This is really rad got the coil along and on these billows flywheels. I just push the coil back as far as possible. I've like on a race bike.

We freakin smoked that coil and that was yeah a Orson spec. I don't know it still makes a really strong spark all the way back. So I don't know, I don't feel like it is uniform, and what here is our engine cover? It's kind of it's pretty rad, it's kind of this bluish gray, color. It looks really blue on camera right now, but it's actually really gray.

You know, being a nice accent to the blue on the cart, so, let's just rock this baby home, oh hello, okay, this is sick. This is so sick. Oh, if y'all seen the videos, for you may remember this exhaust the one that was just went right here to avoid the gas tank. Well now we have all of this real estate.

So I'm going to cut this off the flange and then remake one. That goes up around and up with a muffler right here that way, the exhaust goes out towards the back, and it's gon na be a lot less exhaust noise and more turbo noise, which it's going to be kind of essential in this engine. It's going to be very very loud. I just mutilated a go Pyrus bored muffler and made it into one that fits up our turbo.

That's pretty cool, we'll, probably just end up exhaust wrapping it because the welds aren't the prettiest little pie. Cuts. Aren't really that pretty so we'll just wrap it up and it'll look cool with all different colors there she goes finishing touches. We also put it on a cart just so we're gon na feel fresh she's going to look.

Rotate the turbo 90⁰ and the exhaust will dump out the side. As well as the intake side will dump into the carb.

It would be a shame is you did all the overkill and still didn't make 60

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James D says:

You know you want high lift with minimal overlap for turbos…. just fyi. Keep up the good work

all that money wasted for 15ish hp . i paid $500 for my 2001 900 triple and it has 180hp stock !

Hey I have a 212 cc predator. And I want to buy a stage 5 kit and put it on but I need help building it for my son I was wondering if you do if you do stage kits for people or something idk but if u do I will pay u good money to help

I could be wrong, but that head that you added. Is it not the same one the 208cc engines use? I swapped my simpson 208 head onto my predator. I believe that they have bigger valves

when checking ring gap make sure you scrape the side of the bore with the feeler gauges

You just took a huge crap on the cooling performace,It's an aircooled which has awful cooling properties and you guys went ahead and made it 2x worse though it looks sweet.

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars arturo munoz says:

Probably gonna need heavy duty push rods. Since the cam is so agresive and the springs are so stiff

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tyler Frankel says:

It’s funny that a stage 4 kit is almost an entire new motor and you just keep the short block and a couple shrouds 😂

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars KONTROLLED KHAOS says:

We need a complete no bullshit kits that are easy to choose from I haven’t ordered because the details aren’t clear and they have two many different options in each stage class need three level choices for each stage just to make it easier to choose either every part needed we also need a appearance kits to choose from and the insane stage with the turbo included and all parts included to install

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cosmic Silence says:

I did the exact same thing with painting my block and sanding the fins . I thought I was the only person to ever do it !

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Josh Bryan says:

They are cut to length pushrods, that's why they were too long, you have to measure and cut them for your application

Build break repeat: buys a hemi engine to build

Gopowersports: sends a non hemi head

    Build break repeat: 😐😐

Would you the valve lash for 212cc non hemi predator with 18lb Springs?

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dave George says:

I care that turbo model is never mentioned. Which is the best smallest turbo folks?

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars GT1Man says:

It is still a glorified briggs. Super high power isn't really in the cards

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Halen Rodriguez says:

Te arecomiendo que coloque el carburador en la entrada principal del turbo para que no se ahoque o colocar encendido electronico porque la gasolina que entra al carburador es por gravedad y le estás comprimiendo el aire lo que pasa es cuando le comprimes aire el carburador devuelve la gasolina

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars AJ16v says:

Kinda skeptical about this. A single cylinder turbo set up won’t really give a decent exhaust flow to spool the turbo, that and it’ll be very pulsey.

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jay Byrd 1 says:

Hey question guys where did you get the turbo for such a small engine the eBay or Amazon? I want to do a turbo
