In this video we finally start working on the go kart we built for velocity tv. This homemade go kart frame was completely overbuilt for the 420cc so it should make an immortal 212cc go cart. This time, instead of a 420cc drag racing machine, we went for a different direction, a Rally go kart. Basically what we are going for here is a kart that gets a ton of grip on pavement like a racing kart, but that will also be able to handle extremely well off-road and get plenty of traction with a solid rear axle. This is more of a traditional build with a predator 212cc motor that will eventually get some awesome upgrades! This is more of just a regular build video so be sure to stay tuned for some awesome footage of this thing ripping to come!

as good as you seem to be at fabrication I'm surprised it took u guys so long to catch the tie rods were gonna hit when springs compressed .. I saw that coming as soon as you mounted those spindles.. nice build and just more experience earned
Why don’t you guys go racing? Get a flatkart chassis and body and send it.
You need to clean that frame and paint it to keep it from rusting in the future,looks rather ugly with all that rust.

I don't think having the steering that low is a great idea… Especially if u face that bar upwards the first to go will be the steering.
What you mean standard performance kit is that the jet kit and air filter?
Yeah, steering, I know you already heard it a bunch down there. Get it tucked up, maybe raise spindle ends to the top of the spindle right below the spring, this was mentioned below too. Should be a cool project though, brakes are solid which is great. Thanks for sharing!
My only concern so far is you are making this to jump and mess around with and you extended the steering and put all the push rods on the bottom. First nose dive and it takes out your front end and pushes the steering wheel into your chest. Other then that, looking forward to seeing it running.
that tierod piece on the steering axle will hit the curbs its too low I think
I ran into the same problem with my spring spindles…. Had to modify mine 😁
Should take a little more time planning so you don't have to do so much hacking.
