After finishing the Deuce it has sat for a while, and we needed to give it a revive before possibly selling it. The carbs were due for a rebuild and afterwards it started up fine! We needed to give it a proper rip and Daniel from DJ Tuning was kind enough to let us use his land again for testing purposes. We drove it around and put some hours on it to make sure everything was in working order.

I think the driven gear should be a little bigger my ninja 250 was a 6speed are you going through all the gears
My stock deuce with a the gx610 does 38mph, so I'm not too far behind. I'm hoping to get it to somewhere in the 40mph range. Great build.

needs to get geared lower for a higher top speed
It's just my taste but this 250 motor is the best sounding there is. Would probably never install one anywhere, if so then 600 or 1000 4 cylinder because of the performance but the sound is by far not as great as the small ones. There is no big one that sounds so pithy and aggressive, I love it… 600s or thousands are much too shrill 😍🙌

You can do a single (1 carb into 2 cylinders) flat slide carb swap on the ninja 250 engine and it will increase torque which would probably help.
