In this video the worked on getting the Odyssey into its final form! This thing has always been very close to being complete but its never been running perfectly. This video marks a pretty cool time for the FL250 odyssey restoration. After rebuilding the motor and touching every single bit of this thing's frame including each nut and bolt, it's finally time to let er' rip! The Honda FL250 odyssey was made for a long time and is known as a type of legend within the karting/utv community for its durability and 250cc 2-stroke madness. We were very excited to begin working on this thing and it has made a major transformation in terms of looks as well as driving capability. While it still drives a little rich, that can be tuned out with time so we are excited to see what this thing can really do when its perfectly set up.
Thank you guys for watching and be sure to stay tuned for the rest of this build!

This Is an important question I have a honda odyssey fl 250 and I know that there is a way to change oil in the engine but I can't find a drain plug or fill cap on the engine. If you read this message can you please help me I don't know how to change the oil
Has anyone ever put a good suspension on these 250s to match that of a 350?>
So is this thing worth $800 with a broken axle about 60hr run time according to owner and a gauge said to be put on day 1.. looks clean
no smoke equals broken
Still lean, It has a lot more in it. that sound brings back so many memories. That and the smell of burnt mud and 2 stroke fumes. Neck breaker
what happend to the odyssey? haven't seen it in any new videos.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😁
You guys blew me away. Professional restoration job!!!
PLZ USE ALL ROL CAGE
Man that rubber isolator is pretty cool and you know the best part of the exaust… The logo
TOO lean. X
Honda oddessy fl250's run with the mixture of 20:1
A 2 stroke running by its self is called Dieseling. Or running like a diesel purely off of detonation. Those Internals are toast even if you guys haven't figured it out yet.
What is your opening song called?
Present
Self running is when engine temps get high enough to detonate the mixture when sufficient compression is reached, this is usually due to running too lean. When the idle climbs on start up that usually means at least the idle mixture is too lean which is not ideal for something that has no manual clutch to prevent engine braking. By the sounds of it both idle and main jets/mixtures should be increased.
Sounds great and runs way faster than the last time.Make more go karts.
About 40 years ago my uncle took his Odyssey and boxed the rear frame, beefed up the roll cage and dumped a Honda 750 in it. We used to take it to Pismo Beach in Central California. He put paddle tires on it too. Nothing could touch it. It was the fastest ride on the beach. The 2 stroke was fun, but the 4 stroke was a monster.
Start to richen it up, try a 1/8 of a turn a time , it's pinking at high revs , nothing wrong with a bit of smoke , I'd rather buy 10 plugs than a new piston , looks lovely tho 👌
The fuel mixture screw on that carb controls air at a idle only [ adjust to the highest idle and then in 1/8 to richen it up a little around 1.5 turns. At wide open throttle your running out of fuel bump up a one or more jet sizes till plug looks med brown and you get wide open throttle . Then you can adjust the needle for mid range power. Only short test runs or it will seize up . a slightly rich mixture will help cool the cylinder and prevent detonation, listen to these guys that are giving you advise they have been there
Cool its awesome guys!!!
If you didn't know then you are not aware the expansion portion of your exhaust pipe is an actual secondary combustion chamber not a reverberation chamber is an actual secondary combustion chamber cuz you're not burning all of the oil and gas in the two-stroke itself
If you are not you should run 93 octane 100% gas !
There is a yellow honda at my towns auction house.
really need to do a leak down pressure test on the engine! It's running way to lean
