Hi, What the hell is this crap that's all over Youtube now? Space Science Tech. Um, almost like spam channels and they get huge amount of traction in Youtube search terms. I see them popping up everywhere and this is an absolute. This is one of the more polished examples of this, and I don't understand.

like why these? Well, I understand why they exist because they get a huge amount of views. They get these click bait, titles and thumbnails and everything. and they just mash all these um, you know things together. So usually you'll just get like a text overlay on the video or something and they'll just like have a topic, it's Elon Musk, or it's the latest James Webb Space Telescope thing.

or it's you know, the latest scientific discovery about fusion. or you know, a Tesla thing or whatever, right? And then they'll just mash all these things together. They'll just take like stock footage from news articles, mash it all together with some music in the background, and then they'll like put some text over it and then like. And they get like hundreds of thousands, even millions of views for these videos.

And there's this one channel here called Future Unity and this is a classic example. Check it out. like this is the latest one, right? And they pump these out like every at least one every day, sometimes two a day, right? And they're getting, uh, you know, hundreds of thousands of views. 200, 300, 500, 1.1 million views, 1.2 million.

Some of them get absolutely nothing and you know 33 000. Well, it's not nothing 33 000 views but I checked Social Blade and on average this channel is getting over a million views per day. They hide their Uh numbers. Um, they hide their subscriber numbers and there's nothing on their home page, right? They do actually have a contact email in there.

I don't know. Maybe I should like email and go. hey dude, what's this about, right? Um, and like just titles like James Webb Space Telescope, Terrifying Alien Civilization Discovery on Proxima B Scientists A terrifying new alien discovery that changes everything. And the James Webb Space Telescope finally proves Um.

Stephen Hawking's multiverse theory. Elon Musk just made an incredible discovery on Mars that changes everything. What is this? And they're absolutely obsessed with the like. You know, Elon Musk has obviously gets, uh, clicks on Youtube, but these things just show up right.

They trend in the searching algorithms and everything. Elon Musk's new high-tech spacesuit shocks the entire industry. Elon Musk finally reveals new, boring graphene battery. Elon Musk finally reveals Nuclear Diamond Battery.

You know, I've done a video on the nuclear dimer Battery has absolutely nothing to do with Elon Musk. I mean, let's just have a look at this Nuclear diamond battery, right? One right? Six hundred and Seventy. A thousand views. And here it is.

Batteries. These ones are interesting because it's got a voice over that sounds human? I don't know. Is this like one of these newfangled auto-generated ones Batteries needed when we need to run something that can't easily be plugged in? And it's the same voice of teasing investors and competitors with the promise of a battery day that will arrive soon. See, they just just like they just insert like battery day or whatever.
and then it's like. and then they insert these graphics in the Nuclear Diamond battery which I've done my video on and they actually liked. And there's just like there's no original um, stuff on here. Of course it's all taken together.

proper voice over commentary for it. But Elon Musk finally reveals Nuclear Diamond Battery. And then they put the question mark in at the end. So it's technically not click bait because well, did he? No, he didn't is the answer, but you clicked on it.

There's another nuclear Diamond battery one here. 2.3 million views. Um, Toyota's Solar State battery and Elon Musk. Elon Musk's insane New Truck shocks the entire country or whatever.

I don't like what so all it does, look, just happened, just happened, just happened, just happened. The all-new Model Y shocks, the all-new cheapest car shock. So in like within a couple of days of each other, the all-new Model Y shocks, and then the all-new cheapest Car shocks. And then the Toyota finally reveals and you sold So like And it's just Toyota's insane new engine shocks, the entire car industry and it just goes on and on and on.

like in this James Webb Space Telescope. One of course there is absolutely a Galaxy, right? They start out with a Stephen Hawking thing quote and then they just oh, that question may be tantalizing and produce different. At least they've got the credit up there. Melody Sheep.

I guess these channels I guess where they're getting this stuff from. But of course the James Woods The Telescope. It's got nothing to do with Proxima B. like it's got absolutely nothing to do with it.

yet they'll include all this James Webb space. like. So if you look at like any parts of these you think oh geez, this is really good polish content. oh I'll give that a sub, you know, and and but you just realize you know, but after a while you just realize you're getting like what, what what the hell am I getting It's just a mismatch, Um, some interviews sometimes with like um, you know, scientists and stuff, but it's not them doing the content, they're just like taking it from some news story or some other um, you know thing and then they just mash all this together, all this stuff together and produce this video and they do it like every day and as a like just discussing this on twitter and people say well yeah, this is all just automated content and it's all over apparently.

um somebody said it's all over uh tick tock and um and twitch and all that sort of stuff which I don't use. um, don't touch those things Really? Oh god So yeah. and now it just like infiltrates and look, you can see all the keywords here, right? You know, James Webb Space Telescope news, right? This is their latest one. My my video did very well because I can see the uh trend in uh keywords, how well my uh video trends with certain keywords and alien life.
James Webb and James like you know. so they whack all these in. So whoever's behind this is, I don't know if they you know if this is all if all the like tags are auto generated and all sorts of stuff. and how they generate this content this like content every day.

it's like yeah, is it like it's the same voice All close to our solar system is also much continuous and much less massive than our sun. The exoplanet is tidally locked and in synchronous rotation with its like it. It sounds real enough, but I don't know. It might be like an Ai voice or something.

But yeah, these these these channels are just insane if like, and there's tons of them. It's not just this one and this is like one of the most advanced ones with like proper voice overs. and technically you'll get a little bit of what's in the title, like they'll mix up um, you know the James Webb Space Telescope with you know, information about Proxima B. and so even though they're not related at all like there is no news about you know this and Elon Musk has not released the nuclear diamond battery.

but they'll like but like what and yet they'll just mash these things together and like I don't know, I'm jealous right? because like they're getting a million views a day on average on their channel. um which is phenomenal. Don't know how many people are subbing to this, but I like that they just trend all over the place and these channels everywhere. So please leave it in the comments down below if you've got another example of these channels and there's some like really lower quality ones.

As I said, they just have like some overlay text and stuff like that and some wanky background uh, music and and stuff. And and these things trend on twitter. And then there's also uh, the live ones as well that um will like may trick you into thinking like this is the official Nasa feed or whatever. I've been sucked into this.

it's been happening for years. um I've been like sucked into watching like the latest you know, live feed but it's not live. You know it'll show up in trending and it's saying oh, that launch, you know there's a live rocket launch or whatever and I go oh wow because it showed up in my you know, trending tab or my new video recommended uh tab in youtube or whatever and so I'll actually click on it and watch this supposed rocket launch and it's just a replay of some live footage from you know, three months ago or something. And it's just like I.

I think they might have clamped down on those uh types of channels. But yeah, there's there's this sort of rubbish that is on the surface looks like incredibly highly polished content. but it's just like it. It's just rubbish.
It's a mismatch of just complete garbage. Just to get the clicks And it works. look: 1.1 million views. 1.1 million views.

I am in the wrong business. I need to. Uh, yep, I I need to get on this real quick. while the algorithm uh, still allows it anyway.

Yeah, leave your thoughts and comments down below and links to other channels you've been duped by um, like th this stuff because it's just unbelievable. So anyway, catch you next time.

Time to ramp up the EEVdiscover channel?

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Retiree Chemistry & Electronics says:

That is the Parks Radio telescope? Visited it few years ago, very nice. But sadly was not able to cross the river Styx. People need to take the time to sort out the crap = mosty featured youtube content. Will be interesting what the future says about Youtube self centred profit program, but in the interm lets take their cheap broadcast feature. Oh and backup on other platforms so when youtube vanishes the content is still around

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JoMac says:

An visual dislike button with an actual count could be handy to weed out that type of regurgitated nonsense, Youtube may think of that option one day…..maybe, some day.

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Grant Anderson says:

These videos are probably created by a guy in grad school with a couple of Ryzen 9 5950x desktop computers. He just sits around all day in an old Pink Floyd t-shirt smoking weed and eating pizza . He's probably lost track but the last time he checked he was making roughly $5,000,000 a month. You're right to be jealous.

Its the end game of the Internet. And its taking income from genuine creators as there is not enough time for peope to watch wall to wall junk like this, and the quality stuff.

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Seiskid says:

Didn't know this was a thing. But thinking about it of course it would be. Very depressing. Same issue is polluting the internet more generally. Search on any engineering, electronic or maintenance topic and the results will be flooded with numerous important looking fake pages trolling for clicks. The badly constructed sentences are always the immediate give away. All of this content is stolen from other legitimate pages that no longer come up in search results because this effluent has completely drowned them out. Spammers are horrible horrible people.

I think the same people that watch those videos are the same people who eat their food in the dark.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Waccoon says:

There's a reason why I use private mode to check out anything from channels I've never seen before. I go back and re-watch stuff with my "regular" account if it's actually worth watching.

What bugs me the most is when I watch only 3 seconds of a video and close the window, but YouTube keeps recommending that channel to me for the next 2 weeks. Apparently, clicks are more valuable than watch time and retention. Does YouTube even understand how their own algorithm works anymore?

Yes, this shit is everywhere! Elon Musk does some shit. It is pissing me off!! YouTube is getting not worth going on! Are the views counted even if you click it and run it for 3 seconds? Surely YouTube can delete this shit! It is spam! It is computer voiced! Does anyone watch a full view?

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ernie Gale says:

I know someone who's a content creator writer and she's contacted to to write 30,000 words a day for a horse interest Channel. She lives in the UK. She knows the voice over guy and he's a truck driver in the USA and the company she works for has other content writers and pushes out at least one youtube video a day!
Yet again I know somebody else who's a salesman for a software house that searches the net for popular websites who's owner has decided to not renew their subscription. If it's a popular website and hence high up on the Google rating, they buy the domain and then sell it to some investor. This investor can or may not put his own content up, either way they provide daily content of similar content to original website content as not to upset the Google algorithm! Makes good money apparently! Get out there Dave, get a good content writer, a video editor, do the voice over and make some decent money!!!!

Just Happened ….. Elon Musk links up with Dave Jones to produce a new whiz-bang battery solution, ( Guaranteed 1.5 million views )

dropping the dislikes was a serious mistake. I am having trouble removing this shit from my feed

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Paul O'Neill says:

Scripts auto generated by a GPT-3 Ai, coupled with some video clip compilation AI and an AI voiceover, with seed views generated by AI bot accounts "clicking" on them.
Basically, it's some AI outfit gaming the YouTube algorithm to extract $$$.
Clearly YouTube needs some Bot detection rules to detect and ban both the generator and seed "viewer" bots.
This is a terrible trend because a few operators with the resources to autogenerate cobblers like this are hoovering up the revenue that could feed many real creators. Eventually this will cause the creativity to diminish. I think YouTube needs to start curating channels with very high content generation rates and click levels. Contact them and have them prove they're human generated and if not ban them or massively reduce their payment rates and ad placements.

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Psychlone says:

"While the algorithm still allows it" The algorithm will keep allowing as long as advertisers pay for their ads to be shown on these videos, no matter how much it pisses people off. Only the advertisers can put a stop to it.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars molak34 says:

things that can only happen when you dont have a fully fuctional dislike button

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mark Garrett says:

your ears are going that’s a machine generated voice

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Szlater says:

I’ve noticed the exact same thing for military-themed channels. Computer-generated voiceovers, usually sourced direct from Wikipedia articles and they have similar numbers of views to the videos you mention. I think there are content generation farms in China and India putting these videos out based on trends in the media. The computer generated voiceovers are very convincing, but you can find the software they use with a little google search.
