In this video we show you guys our newest addition and project! A 1983 Honda odyssey FL250. This go kart, atv, utv (whatever you want to call it) was factory produced by Honda, and is the little brother of the Honda Pilot. This particular kart has a 250cc two stroke motor which will make this thing an absolute beat. Luckily, this 2 stroke offroad go kart came with all the parts it needs to be fully built, its just going to need a cylinder bore and a new piston with some seals to be running like new again! This things are pretty rare and quite the handful so we are really excited for this new restoration project!

What is crazy is my cousin works at a scrap yard and someone came in and dumped out 4 of one or two that size and two I think they were bigger
I had a Honda Odyssey the same one you have in your video there but then because I put a 550cc Polaris Snowmobile engine in it with a top of 60 mph also it had reverse the throttle got stuck in reverse and me my brother and my friend were on it with no helmets and we went like 30 miles per hour in reverse and flew across the road and my friend was sitting on top and he jumped off and cracked like 6 teeth on the pavement and my brother was on the back and he jumped off and landed on the other side of the road in the dirt and didn't get hurt and I landed on my back on the pavement in the road and didn't get hurt and then I took the engine out off it the next day and threw the Odyssey and other 2 go carts I had in the brush and said fuck go carts and I won't work on another go cart cuz my friend cracked his teeth from that one. I only work on dirt bikes and four wheelers now and won't touch another go cart. Plus the go carts broke down every ride so I was working on them constantly and that is another reason I won't touch a go cart.
That looks like an air filter cover off a honda ST90
Ayy from texas
FYI, bought a Polaris RZR XP1000 and never looked back LOL
My buddy had an FL350 for probably 20 years. It never ran right and was constantly having to be toyed with. While it was cool and fun, the down-fall of these machines were the shitty, air-cooled, 2-stroke engines. If you read the manual, it says to run it for 1/2 hour, then let it cool for 45 minutes! That's horse shit. Best thing you guys could do is drop a (preferably liquid-cooled) snowmobile engine in that thing, or even better a 4-stroke. The best one out of these was the Pilot, which had a liquid-cooled 400cc 2-stroke, but it was only made for 2 years and had an astronomical price tag for the time it was released.
Sweet project.
Only 9 haters
Looks like a 2 smoke that they ran with no oil…good show fellas!
Wish we could have found one like that to put the 440cc snowmobile engine on. We are putting it on red beards Garage’s old 670 buggy that caught fire. 🔥
I'm subbing just for this build. I love old Honda pilots. Good luck guys!
What you were working on at the Swap Meet looked like it will be awesome. This project looks like it will be too.Loved those Odysseys
My sons and I restored the same machine last winter same year too. We stripped it down and PORed the frame, sandblasted the wheels and repainted it. The pullstarter sells for more then you paid for whole machine. Mine had the Goki aftermarket electric start, my kids have a great time on it. I look forward to watching your build.
$160 for the holy grail thats crazy
Man you guys still at think I see those up here in Michigan and just the frame people won $500 for
Can’t wait to see the finished product!!! keep up the great work guys!!!!
It would be a real coincidence, but where are you guys from? I used to have one with a seat just like that w/ a welded roll cage. I'm in NC and probably sold it around 98-99.
This is going to be an awesome project!!!!
bore it out and put a race pipe on it. then enjoy zero traction whatsoever
Why not put a 670 in it
